Another AL Team
The White Sox are one of those low-key AL times I alway kinda liked growing up. Chet Lemon. Lamarr Hoyt. Great names. Didn’t they have Rusty Kuntz too?
Of course they inexplicably re-hired the terrible Tony LaRussa making them currently and completely hateable.
Anyway, Chicago is predictably playing underwhelming baseball with the usually drunken LaRussa at the helm. Countering that, we are playing terrible baseball.
No idea where this series goes…..
So as the season slip slides away, thoughts turn to the trade deadline and what the Giants have to sell.
Yaz looks like a perfect fit for the Yanks and of course there should be suitors for Joc.
A couple of our RPs might be useful elsewhere.
I guess Webb’s the only untouchable…
Rodon could be a nice rental somewhere…
Aaaaaaand Wade hurt again…
2 out rally
starting with walk off L to Pirates, 3-9 over last 12.
That’s vs. Pit ATL Cin Det and ChiSox.
20 of last 28 with 2 runs scored, or less…
Brebbia to start tomorrow.
At least that means a lot of innings available to catch up…
The rest of the River Cats are on right now, local channel 44 KBCW, hosting Reno Aces in Sac.
Villar is there, Krizan Bart SS named Isan Diaz who has been hot at plate lately. SP is Tanner Williams.
Villar hits his 21st HR……not that we need him on the big club or anything.
He’s clearly earned his chance at a try at the ML level. They could give Longoria AB’s as DH.
Dump some stiff off of the 40 man roster.
It would be starting the infamous “free agent clock” on Villar, but so what? Fans are not in a mood to be worrying about 6 years from now.
Keegan Murray had a very good game in his first Kings summer league game. It’s just the summer league, but it’s encouraging. If he could be an impact player for the Kings next season, then the Kings could take some steps forward. Sabonis is legit, and Fox is reasonably OK at the point guard. By no means would they be a Big 3, but they could give the Kings 3 legit scorers; and some other players, like Barnes and Mitchell, can make some contributions.
Bagley not being an impact player, and being injured a lot, cost the Kings 2 or 3 years in their development. It’ll be sad if he never becomes an impact player. But the game isn’t designed for a guy like him anymore. He’s expected to shoot some 3’s. Kind of crazy.
Very clever of the Warriors to change the NBA to a style of play that they’re the best at. 🙂
