If we win out we get to 87 wins. That still likely doesn’t get us in. So, it’s September 17th and I shall now declare the dream dead.

The Dodgers are +323 run diff this season. That is insane, I wonder what the record is?

    The tragic number is 9, less than the number of games (9.5) they’re behind for the final wild card. Yeah, it’s over.

    Even if all you want to do is get into WC, the 4th spot has big advantage. You get 3 home games for first round and 5-6 spots do not. Braves and Cards have 3rd and 4th best records in NL, and Cards will get 3rd spot in playoffs by winning division and Braves or Mets with 91 Ws will be 4th.
    Braves have won 89 games, Cards 85. No idea how SF can get anywhere near either one 2023.

      Can’t imagine Yanks would let him walk away.
      In Henderson bio lot of attention given to his time with Yanks and how Steinbrenner ultimately alienated and dismantled team he put together post Reggie. They got Luis Polonia (criminal) and couple no name pitchers for him and Rickey wound up with ring (at Giants expense) going back home to Oakland.

    With the Giants organization I’m not holding my breath. Every HR now chasing Roger Maris (AL Record 61) Judge’s new potential deal tripled in salary..6/300 now??
