Moon Ball
That was…pretty stupid. Can’t imagine MLB is going to keep this absurd location on the docket. At least we learned something about Manaea who is one tough SOB.
Back at it again today. At some point even something as cool as a homerun becomes pretty staid when it’s so repetitive as it was yesterday…..
Based on exit velocity and launch angle, all of SF’s bombs were legit and would have left most MLB parks. The Padres’ HRs, not so much. Small moral victory amidst what’s shaping up to be one of the worst Bay Area sports weekends in a while.
Field surface sucked too, balls flying at high speeds and weird angles.
As Baggs points out in Athletic, Giants pitchers have given up lot of hard contact all season, not just last night, even on ground balls.
Sabol um, idk. Kap said in order to stick he has to be a viable option at C. hmmnn.
Btw Sac played Dogs OKC team and GD was in LF for them, hitting .228.
He’d be a great third string C/OF option, but, to maximize his value, that also presupposes more of the kind of match up style everyone is so down on, unless of course Conforto whiffs with the bases loaded. SF is clearly experimenting with fewer in game switches. I think that’s a mistake and it feels a little like pandering to the press and talk show goons. Platoon baseball works to the Giants’ advantage.
Sure it does and using platoon to gain advantage for hitters is good managing. Kap often moves players around late game, especially when Giants are ahead and he’s filling in defensively without having guys like Solano or Joc in the field. C is one of those spots where D prowess has to be paramount, right? Sabol reminds me of 2011 fill ins after Posey got hurt and the Prez and others were back there. Good story so I hope he can improve.
Sabol is absolutely horrible ,lost, clueless behind the plate, how can the Giants continue expect improvement from him there? 4 catching interference calls, tons of pass balls not to go along with 8 freaking errors I believe? and I’m sure most of the pitching staff losing confidence in him like Taylor Rodgers shaking his head after throwing 2 good pitches and he couldn’t handle either one for pass balls.Shit I’ll take Gary Sanchez in 2 days starting in Houston right now, if Bart still can’t go..
Oh boy
At the very least, MLB has plans to put games in Mexico City on a regular rotation, like London, and the Giants are waving their hands wildly for a standing invite. “We’d love to throw our hat in the ring to do this every year,” Baer said.
SS Xander Bogaerts who I wanted badly set a ML Record with his HR last night.Hitting a HR in 4 different countries.United States,Canada,England&Mexico.. He’s also off to a great start hitting .311, 6HR’s,13RBI’s and 19 runs scored..
11 HRs in one game.
That’s too many. At some point the game gets into joke territory…
If I was a hitter I would want to play in Mexico City. And, the food is good.
Kings clinging to 2-point lead at half. Again seems like it should be more, though Dubs aren’t letting Sac go on a big run. Sabonis much better today, but Sac too many rushed 3s and a few turnovers in 2nd Q. If this stays close, will the young Kings have what it takes down the stretch to knock off the champs?
Dubs are ok. Klay 1/10. He will start hitting some shots.
how the fucking hell is this game tied? 59-59.
Dubs killing it on offensive boards, got Sac reeling a bit.
Kings putting GS on FT line too. Warriors extending lead, on day Fox is off.
Missed FTs hurt them Game 6.
That might be Sac’s best way to get a stop.
Dubs working on that 3rd quarter magic really taking it to the Kings right now! 69-62
Curry his usual courageous way is doing it all! Could sure use Klay too but he can’t hit the broad side of a barn today..
Moses MaLoon!
Ha!
Whoa, Thompson 4-pt play to cap dominant 3Q for Dubs.
Yeah Klay finally hits another 3 with a second left and one. Kings played it right with double on curry and Thompson burns them. 10 point lead.
Kings absolutely wiltering in 2nd half, Dubs about to blow it open.
Or wilting, haha.
Monk has Thompson on him and he’s launching 3s off high screen. Game before he attacked rim scored and got to line.
Brown has to get shooters in there (Lyles Murray) if they want to catch up.
Meanwhile in MC, looks like Maize on the Cobb pitched as well as possible at that ridiculous park before cracking some in the 5th.
Melt down. 2 point lead at halftime.
Fuck that lame ass Kings Blue Beam it’s the Warriors shining the brighter Beaming headlights on their party bus coming back to SF going down Highway 80 taking gm7 and moving on!!! Excellent in every category in the 2nd half!
Curry 50 points on 38 shots, while Fox just about invisible in 2nd half.
He joins Kwahi, Kyrie, Lillard, Harden, Booker, Paul, etc in the Not Curry category.
Dubs game nuts. 43% from2 33% from 3, and 10 missed free throws in a quarter and won by 20. YES!!
Giants game sucked. Frustrating way to lose. Hope it was just Yaz’s pride that was hurt.
Onward for the Warriors.
We’ll never know how much Fox’s injured finger was a factor. He didn’t seem himself today.
True. Kings were great but Fox was extraordinary for most of the series. Curry and Draymond both spent a lot of time talking into his ear as they accepted his genuine congratulations. They really know how good he is.
