Shut Out
Did not see any of the game. Looks like I didn’t miss much. I did catch Bailey’s first career hit on twitter. That’s cool for him. Our guys are starting to cobble together some god awful batting averages……

Bailey looks real good behind the plate framing pitches seems to have the respect of the pitching staff already.Yeah nice approach on his 1st hit a solid base hit between 1st and second ( think he had 2 strikes on him as well?) Yes his 1st hit and showing his hot wife with their baby in the stands has gone viral. He’s already getting to be another cult hero like Schmitt, glad to see new young blood coming up, hopefully Harrison soon to nail down a spot in the rotation..
Bailey’s baby is very cute and well behaved.
That’s my recap of yesterday’s game…
Flav’s right about lot of low averages, and combined with lack of walks, Giants are 12th NL for both BA and OB. Bart’s OB is .286, Craw .231, Haniger (2 walks all season) .213. Villar’s was .230 and both Wisely and Bryce J are below .200. Johnson has 1 BB in 32 plate appearances and 0 steals since he can’t steal 1b.
Giants lone offensive category where the shine, 4th NL in HRs, hasn’t helped enough because as James pointed out earlier, not enough singles and walks. Like um yesterday.
Also second-to-last in doubles in NL, ahead of only the Brewers.
Mr. Ed leading off – that’s a new one…
1. Wilmer Flores (R) 1B
2. Thairo Estrada (R) 2B
3. J.D. Davis (R) DH
4. Mitch Haniger (R) LF
5. Mike Yastrzemski (L) RF
6. Casey Schmitt (R) 3B
7. Patrick Bailey (S) C
8. Brandon Crawford (L) SS
9. Bryce Johnson (S) CF
P: Alex Wood (L)
Bailey’s first bomb!
Maybe Bailey can hit at the mlb level. Luzardo’s no chump. Maybe he figured the rook couldn’t see the first two FBs so why not another. Apparently our catcher saw the pitches really well.
nice comeback!
Bailey RBI bunt!
After slapping down a runner at third.
O’Crap lives…
yeah hard to believe.
Schmitt with all important insurance run rbi.
Lot of hard hit balls today from both teams.
Where’s O’Shit?

hah!
Schmitt just keeps on Schmitting.
Alright, series win over the Fish!
VICTORY BABY!!!
Nice homestand.
A nice series win! Unreal PGA guy gets a hole in one and finishes in top 15 for automatic invite to next years PGA championship! Too bad one bad ball strike ended the drama at the end!
So sad the Lakers lost again:)
Yay Clint!
A 7-5 game that took 2 1/2 hours to play. I like it!
For decades we were subjected to batters wandering endlessly outside the batter’s box between pitches, obsessively adjusting all their straps.
Great rule change!
The impact of the clock has dwarfed all the other changes combined. It‘s turned out better than MLB hoped for, I suspect.
The owners are pissed about alcohol sales. They extended beer sales till the 8th inning.
Probably not much help.
Who’s buying a 24 oz can when the game’s gonna be over in 10 minutes?
Anytime we can take a series win against Miami means we played pretty good ball. Glad the youngsters are contributing and should make for a fun clubhouse.
Wood pissed again over being taken out early with Marte up/2 on. Didn’t see early part of game but listening to Miller on radio, he thought Yaz took bad route on ball that fell in. Brebbia gave up hit that led to the 2 runs being charged to Wood.
