Broom Time
I really don’t *hate* the A’s or anything. But I REALLY want to see a sweep today. More so than if it was any other team. we’re in a prime spot to get this done. How many dominant starts in a row does Cain have in him? We’ll find out today……
Zumie just said, “Frick.” He’s gotta be pissed. 🙂
Frick! Consarn it! H. E. Double Toothpicks!!
We finally get some hitting, and then our bullpen falls apart.
Shit unbelievable here we go again! Fuck can’t anybody pitch out of the pen but Wilson.
Hard to figure Mota, as K said. Paint on one pitch and misses by three feet on the next..
Or as Bill Cosby would say right about now…”Filth, flarn, filthy, flarn-flarn, filthyity-flith farn!
Cosby once used a swear word in his act when he was discussing drugs. Something to the tune of:
“They say cocaine enhances your personality. And I thought, what if the guy’s *already* an asshole”
Frickin’ whew!!!
Phew!
Fflith flarn fracasity fracan phew
Cassilla Saves.
Thank you, Jesus. The both of you.
Well, three pitches later, a new set up guy…
And I mean that
Just got a message:
You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down.
I can understand being sent a message about how idiotic my posts are, but too quick?..
Padres lose!
Good update, macdog, thanks

Two walks for the Panda!
Now let’s close out the frickin’ A’s.
Panda draws another walk. There goes his quota for the month.
Hit the flith outta the ball Huff!
Hufffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!
Huff for the All-Star game!!
Uribe’s a slacker if he doesn’t hit one outta here now
He filthing fllarn filth hit the filth outta that one.
FUCK YA!!!
Hufffff!
Fucking HUFF IS THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! guy just flat out rakes!!!!!!
Huff is a filthing flarny flackerty flicketing…..
That one’s for Fosse!!
any question about the value of the walk just take a look at this series. Walks set up runs and rallies in every single game……
Panda walk, Huff HR. Repeat in 8th!
With swings like that, Nate ain’t making a case for himself.
Thank god Oakland’s biggest offensive weapon is the walk and not actual hits.
Nate already made his case, it has ‘suit’ in front of it.
Oh, but Posey. I fear the intimidation of the big leagues is too much for him. 😦
He looks frightened, like a small child meandering about in San Quentin. The smell of fear is all about him. I feel he was brought up too early. He’s 0 for 8 in his last 8 at bats. If only Sabean and Bochy had listened to me. If only….
I’m sorry, I can’t go on
Rowand trying to talk some smack with Huff. And Huff just brushes him aside, get away from me loser i don’t want you to fuck up my stroke.
8-6, see ya Raj and the A’s!
Revenge is sweep!
Woo-Hoo! Suck it, A’s fans!!!!!!
Huff the Magic Dragon in a repeat performance. Yes! Dagos down. Hoyaa! LaBumbos drooping towards defeat. Can life get any better than this?
best series of the year. We dominated them…..
What a great day! My daughter’s soccer team finally won a game, 4-2 in the season finale, rallying from 2-1 in the second half. Who says soccer isn’t exciting? And now a Giants sweep! Bring on the O’s!
“Rowand trying to talk some smack with Huff. And Huff just brushes him aside, get away from me loser i don’t want you to fuck up my stroke” What fucking bullshit, Kat. Rowand is respected by the players.
Man, Huff is putting together a very nice season. Good signing, Sabes! Another strong start by the Cainer and we sweep the Fucking A’s! And the hapless O’s are in town next. 6-0 homestand?
Go Giants!!!!
Nice Ted!
What’s with the spongebob fuckwad avatars?
Did I fall into Smurf-ville? Fucking weird.
Anyhow, took the wife and son out to Georgetown in the foothills for some dirtbiking. Cool. In fact 20 miles out of Cool on 193 out near BFE.
Anyhow, heard the back to back jacks by Huff and Uribe coming down from the hills. Killer stiff. Cain pitched his ass off, in and out of trouble. Missed the pen melt down yesterday, and not sure if it happened again today, but got in home in time to see Huff jack his 2nd 2 run job.
Just wondering, have 2 guys gone back-to-back twice inthe same game? Uribe sure looked like he wanted to . . .
Payback’s a bitch. Sorry, Oakland . . . Yeah, baby!!!
I think a huge factor in the Orange and Black sweeping this series is the good vibes created by…
Wait for it…
The Giants County Fair!!!!!!!!
Kat—just read your post about the alleged Huff/Rowand dugout exchange.
LMFAO
“In fact 20 miles out of Cool on 193 out near BFE.”
So that’s where barryforever “reverts to form” all the time. Now we know.
Except for Wilson and Casilla of late, just consider the pen melt down every damn day. They need help.
Lmao
Zenyatta just made it 17 for 17. That girl just refuses to lose. We could use her in our pen.
Where the hell are they going to put Uribe when Rent comes back?
Angels complete 1st sweep at Dodger Stadium
beautiful day for some ballgames…feel like we won 3 today.
FlapFucks like to pretend that ballplayers share their prejudices. Huff did not blow off Rowand, he would never do such a thing. They are both pros and have mutual respect. It was one of Kat’s worst posts ever.
I will remind you now that while others mused about the possibilty, only the Esteemed Master twinfan called a homestand sweep.
“twinfan said, on June 11, 2010 at 4:43 pm (Edit)
With that said, you can really just throw the names in a hat. As long as Bengie doesn’t come up in the 1 it hardly fucking matters. This looks to be a sweep of the homestand…”
So I’m here to take the accolades or take the heat…
It was obvious the A’s couldn’t score runs this weekend without Suzuki and, well, without any real offense whatsoever. If you put up Torres, Huff, and Uribe against any of Beane’s bargain basement purchases (something he’s supposed to be so good at) he went down in flames against Sabean this year……
by the way, as you would call me on it if it were me, “looks to be” is not a prediction. “We will sweep them” is a prediction. I’ve learned all this from you so keep that in mind before the venom starts spewing……
Yeah, if a comment doesn’t contain “book it,” then it’s merely just a wish wrapped in hope sprinkled with desire.
Like so…
delmardennis said, on June 12, 2010 at 4:27 pm I think tonight’s game looms large in our hopes of getting on a nice win streak. Win tonight, Cainer tomorrow followed by three vs the lowly O’s looks like six in-a-row to me. Baltimore is horrible. We could get nine guys off this blog to beat their sorry asses. Yep, win tonight and we’ll hit the 6+ streak. Book it!
Is the ball harder to hit this year? Ted Lilly has a no-hitter through seven against the White Sox, would have a perfect game except he walked the pitcher.
“Looks to be” is totally definitive…
The 12th is the day after the first game of the HS, Dennis…
I know that. Game 1 with Timmy was a given.
Interesting game on. Normally the pitcher would be pinch hit for in the bottom of the eighth with a one run lead. The no-hitter is screwing Piniella. Now it’s starting to rain and Lilly struck out with the leadoff man aboard.
It’s tough for y’all but face it, I’m on fire thiis year.
OK, predictions now: Does he do it? I say NO. Infield dribbler ruins the night.
Flav, don’t forget The Genius of Moneyball signing Sheets for $10mil…according to Shea in today’s Chron, Taylor is hitting .220, and the other minor league phenom is at .240, so help for their puff ball offense is not on the way just yet.
I’ll admit to being wrong if Seattle continues to suck, but third is best the A’s can hope for. If Texas or Angels can make a deal for more pitching, they’ll bury the A’s. Hope you took your buddy’s bet.
I tried to discuss that on the Splash, Stu. The trolls wrecked the thread. Managers fucking hate no hitters for the reason you are talking about.
Btw, if Rent comes off the DL, then the only guy actually on it from the prediction vote taken last month would likely be MDR.
Juan Pierre breaks up the no-hitter. Piniella should have pinch hit for Lilly after all. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t, I suppose, but with the score 1-0 and the leadoff hitter aboard, the insurance run was more important than the no-hitter for Lilly.
Driving down to Santa Cruz early Mem. Day morn I heard Huff “interviewed” by the KNBR morning guys. Huff is straight outta Texas. Funny story about how his little home town loved football and he couldn’t cut it as QB. Who the fuck (it was implied) wants to play football if you can’t be the QB? he asked. Rhetorically, as Dennis would say. So he focused on baseball. When it came to playing music, he was low key. Seems important to him, but he didn’t make a big deal about it. He sounded like a savvy, confident, tough pro, with a great sense of timing.
Are we on course to cruise through the gap in the reefs, McFuckwad?
Well, Skipper, it looks to be the proper course. Sir.
It what, McFuckwad? It LOOKS TO BE?
Uh, yes, Sir. It …. Oh, my . . . .
Huff-Uribe-Torres. I don’t think anybody had that trifecta. That one is gonna blow up the tot board.
Cute try.
