OK-here’s the All-Atar contest pending Flavor’s approval and minumum 25 entrants:
Simple: pick our All-Stars. It has to be exact. In other words, if you pick Tim and Wilson, it has to be JUST them. If it’s those two plus Uribe, you lose. First tie breaker: the winner of the AS Game. Second tie breaker: total runs scored in the game.
The prize is a deluxe Quad Core PC, brand new. Built by Mikey…
EMail your picks to Flavor. Deadline July 1 Noon.
AMD Athlon Quad Core 3.0 GHZ per core CPU
Asus M4A77TD Motherboard
4 GB DDR3 Memory
Two 40GB Solid State Hard Drives, RAID 0 ( for O/S and apps)
One 1 Terabyte Hitachi Hard Drive
Blu-Ray Drive ( also burns DVDs and CDS)
1 GB nVidia Ge Force GT220 Graphics Card
Thermaltake MidTower with 500 Watt Antec PSU
Shit, casillas is good for one more walk here.
Yup . . .
Shit, they leave him in???
youkalis went..he had him k
This is goddamn ridiculous. And yet, we escaped somehow. It has to be the Orange Friday magic. No other reasonable or logical explanation for this Houdini act.
Torture.
wow
I’m about ready to check into Room B.
I almost started smoking again 28 times in that fucking inning.
That inning was the total definition of Torture!!!!!!
Whew! Maybe the problem is that on the Yahoo feed Casilla is wearing that silly green and yellow cap from his previous team. Wish they would show him in a nice black and orange topper. Magical thinking, i know, but it IS baseball.
Have some faith boys.
For those with size on the OVER, are you pulling forthe strikeout there?
That was hard to fucking believe. Still, nobody hit the ball off him hardly at all. Boston has only 3 fucking hits all night.
Maybe Wake gets a few guys out of the doldrums….Pablo had a nice line shot, so did Posey, Ishi….not trying to crush stuff, just solid line drives.
Over ain’t covering yet.
stix…enjoy the torture here…

Really like the way Travis has been coming through in that P.H. role. Believe it or not, his BA is up to .312.
Shout out to SanDog: Toreros have a guy from Los Gatos, Kyle Blair, who was WCC pticher of the year, and recently drafted in the 4th round, by Stros I think it was, reported here locally ( I just saw the LG times).
Rowand pulls the ball so severely so often, the thirdbaseman and shortstop are pulled way over, and there just isn’t much room for him to hit a ball through over there. He’s always trying to thread a needle over there.
I can’t believe they let that guy back out there after all those walks!!
Defintely the right move by Bochy.Let’s get Wilson to shut it down right now!!!!!
agreed Kev, but I do like this move. Mota can sit down alongside the other guys.
I’ll give Twin props, Casilla does have some unhittable stuff. But too many balls in the dirt. Boston did not hit the guy, tho.
That’s what you get with Casilla. Effectively wild. 🙂 Hell, I’d rather he walk someone than lay one in there.
We need another arm.
BTW, I just wanted to give michael/TwnFn about four thumbs up from two hands for even providing these prizes. It’s a really cool sideline aspect of the blog. 🙂 BTW, … coffee cup? 😀
Of course Wilson wasn’t going to make this easy. Jesus fucking Christ. We need another arm.
Shit the bar better be open in Room B.
Fuck you, you former Oakland motherless fuck. Ha!
strike 4 got him
Darnell is a cool name. I remember seeing Darnell coles play here when he was with the Pit late 80s.
I remember Darnell Hillman out of Jose State who spent a long time in the NBA. Shot blocking machine, with a classic fro too.
Eeesh.., we’re still holding on! I expected this to be one of those dramas where you wake up and realize that your rent, your visa card, and your girlfriend are *all* about three months ‘late’.
I can’t take any more of this shit. Prescription medication can only do so much.
This games ranks A#1 on this years litany of “Giants baseball: Torture!”
Hell, with Buster catching abnd Joe or Madison pitching, reward Travis and Nate with a start tomorrow…
Why not, one day against another young guy:
Torres CF
Sanchez 2B
Sandoval 3B
Uribe SS
Burrell LF
Posey C
Ishikawa 1B
Schierholtz RF
I like that LU for tomorrow. It has to be Madison tomorrow, right? Joe warmed up in the pen. They can’t yank around a guy’s arm like that and ask his to start the next day. Fucking Nate missed the cutoff man again. And people wonder why he doesn’t start.
Dennis, that is why they have two guys over to cut it 🙂
Twin, I frickin love that lineup for tomorrow…looks like the Sox have Huff’s number with the shift on defense. Give him a day off. Bum pitches/Posey catches….love it!
oh yeah, baby, and the Dodgers are losing in the 8th.
Two words, Mr. Wilson:
No walks.
Hope our pen is eating Wheaties for b-fast next 16 days.
a weird reverse gestalt to “watch” the game thru these comments only; from what I gather, I could’ve watched it online. This is easier on the nerves and more amusing. Short-wave-mystical-ersatz radio.
At least nobody was on when Youk tripled.
can’t stand Youk; he looks like a 1990s Astro reject douche
Dodgers lose (helpful). Wilson throws — base hit score (not helpful for my cardiac situation)
this AB better not go 321 pitches like against that Astro guy
Jesus fucking Christ Wilson. Get the last goddamn out.
My cardiologist says my problem is that I watch too many Giants games. Asked for a second opinion — he says I’m ugly, too!
Jesus, Wilson is going gas can again.
Here we go.
How many pitches for Wilson?
Make this simple: he deserves to fucking lose this.
But i hope he doesn’t 😉
this is killing us, serially
38 so far
how do you spell torture? G-I-A-
Just your everyday, 4-out, 42-pitch save.
Congrats…Giants Baseball torture…but, It’s Magic inside
Woo-freakin’-Hoo!!!! I’m exhausted….but happy! ;-D
Flav…congrats on the over…!
I swear this guy is gonna kill me. 42 pitches to get through an inning and a third. Cripes.
haha
…you guys are fucking hilarious
There’s magic inside that torture!
Is it over?
Unbelievable!!!!!!! Shots are lining up at the Doggbreath Hotel.
wow…flav covers, Giants win. Unbelievable, esp. if Casilla is credited with a hold.
In the famous words of Moses Malone, “Fo fo fo”…I need fo mo for 17 ws.
Actually, the other guys have better tiebreak numbers so i’m probably out (to lunch) anyway.
No, Dennis, it turns out there’s still one more inning somehow. Yikes! (grin)
After that episode i would think all Flappers understand why i call Wilson ‘Sarah Bernhardt’, the most famous Drama Queen of all time.
Wow—what a win. Fuck, I’m drained.
WillieD: love the Kyle Blair fun fact. I also appreciate the Darnell references. I once saw Coles go deep twice at the Big A when he was with the Tigers. If memory serves, Doug DeCinces ended it with a walk-off.
I also remember Hillman joining the Warriors late in his career. We saw him throw some sick dunks during warm-ups.
Frickin Torture is all I have to say! The Bum tomorrow?
It’s gonna take a week for my butt to un-pucker. Typical Gigantes game. And Sanchez gets the win. Hate my favourite only team.
Yeah, flav congrats. We know you were pulling for V Martinez to get that hit 🙂
Whoever starts tomorrow better go deep into the game.
Casilla and Wilson read the Houdini book….on escape. It’s Magic inside…
WSW: Thanks for the video info. Didn’t go there. Way things went my heart couldna stood to be watching it direct. With that powerful new puter, though, and dsl to go, i do need to check out a video feed soon. Maybe Sunday. I don’t like the prospect of a Bucholtz-Martinez matchup. But we did get that first one and its Timmy vs Lester on Sunday.
I was about to get on earlier, but figure why jinx it and make note that it seems that extra run we score always seems to be a huge extra run.
Props to Nate! Base hit, speed to get to second on the grounder and the speed to score on a sacrifice..he gets one of the stars tonight.
The one really bad pitch from Wilson was the 1-2 to Beltre that Whiteside wanted a fastball up high and he hung it…whew! I am pissed I get no tv coverage tomorrow…sweep!
I think we are now 12-13 in one-run games. When we go over .500 in that category, we will be in first. We will then stay in first as long as we win more one-run games than we lose. Tortuously simple. A simple plan.
Lol! Giants: 11 K’s, 10 BB’s.
Rivera struck out the side to save the Yankee game: Manny, Kemp, Loney… a little different from our guy tonght, eh?
dawn approaching; somnolent sign-off, fellow unravellers
Sleep well Pawlie.
How the hell did we win this game?!
