We Lose Again and Greg Papa is a JERK
I'm not really interested in discussing the details of last night's game. We sucked. Again...
Did any of you catch Greg Papa on the pre-game show on Comcast? According to those of you who saw it, Papa led into an interview with Panda who was explaining his base running blunder from the night before by CHUCKLING ABOUT NEEDING A TRANSLATOR. Fuck Greg Papa. How DARE he disrespect Pablo Sandoval with a dumb comment like that. Panda is a 23 year old kid who is actively working on learning a second language so that he can, among other things, communicate directly with his fans. To make fun of his grasp of his second language is reprehensible. There are lots of athletes who never bother to learn the language and that's fine, that's their choice. But to openly mock a young player who is trying to learn and practice a difficult language is something that Papa needs to be held accountable for. A suspension without pay should be where Comcast starts. And Papa should publicly apologize for his stupid, racist comment though you know he won't. From now on when I hear Greg Papa's voice I'll only be thinking of Larry Krueger.....

Finally, regarding the July Contest, we are still actively looking for participants. The Contest: pick the Giants all stars (or all star) EXACTLY (for instance, if you pick Lincecum and Wilson it has to be just those two guys, you lose if Molina makes it too :) ). First tie breaker will be who wins the all star game. Second tie breaker will be total runs scored in the game. We are closing the contest July 1st at Noon so get me your picks ASAP. Email me at bigflavor77@gmail.com
How much of this is an attempt to reduce the possibility of breaking the all time DP record that nobody among SF mgmt wants?
LMAO Flav . . . That same email had my July AS game contest specifics. OK.
They traded for Molina to start…
Same shit when Roberts was released, when Durham was traded. You’d think they were fucking child molesters when they were here. Listen up: THEY’RE GONE! BE FUCKING HAPPY! It’s what you wanted…
I’m with Twin on this one Stix. Molina did what he was able to do in his time here, often giving us dramatic results. He won games for us, he hit in the 4 hole when we had no one and you KNOW he knows he’s not a 4-hitter, plus the pitchers love him and as far as I can tell he’s been an outstanding teammate.
DOn’t get me wrong, i’m happy he’s gone, but we should wish him well in the last chapter of his career. He had you jump out of your seat cheering more than once, that alone should have you wishing the guy good luck……
Blade I’d love to go have a beer with you. You “laugh your ass off” more than anyone I’ve ever seen! That could be good times at the local tavern. Me? I used to LMAO but I’m older now and I’m really more about LQTM…..
I’m going to guess what that acronym means (since I’ve never heard it before . . . umm, seriously) . . . LAUGH QUIETLY TO MYSELF???
Exactly. I fire that off in texts all the time. Has a much better impact than the standard, “lol” or “lmao”, though there’s certainly a place for the former…..
and it’s “laughing quietly to myself” not “laugh quietly to myself”. THere’s something hysterical to me about someone laughing quietly to themselves…..
So hysterical that you LQTY?
Flav, probably not related, but did you know that AMC is devoting an entire night to One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest this week?
Perfect for Room B.
Twin, Flav: My take was a bit more nuanced than you seem to think. Yes, i put the knock on, but at the same time mentioned that he might do better in Texas. As for the Dink Hitter rule, my take there was not that he should be cast in that role, but simply that it allows for 9 hitters on the team rather than 8. Thus the deRangers, with a couple of bangers on the team and not having a pitcher hit, can afford a catcher who doesn’t hit much anymore, albeit probably better than their current cast.
True, Molina WAS a good Giant and i was not opposed to the team picking him up again. But the outfits who passed on him, like the Mets, must have done some good scouting and realized that his talents are in severious decline. Though Bengie did much for the team over the past few, he was fast becoming a major liability in SF and everyone on this board knows that. I do wish him all the best in Texas where he will get to play in a more hitter-friendly park and might allow him to close out his career in more style than he could have done with the Giants. Who knows, he may even once again get to start in the playoffs.
LQTM?
Well, Mike’s right. It pretty much had to happen. Posey needs to catch and get his time in. Huff moves back to 1st. Bengie had a nice run, albeit a slow one . . .
“Good” Giant? Sure. He had the unenviable task of trying to fill Bonds’ shoes when there was no one within 10 miles of doing the job in 2008.
Now about Rent . . .
I’ve always been a (perhaps overtly) Molina booster.
Sure, I’ve called him the Big Titty. Numerous times. But always in gest (jest?). Because as Blade pointed out, wake the fuck up, he was given a role he not only wasn’t suited for for 3 years but stated himself, for 3 years, he wasn’t suited for it. Ego, schmego, he knew he wasn’t a cleanup but he sure as hell did the best he could and, yes, the power numbers, while not in fucking Bonds’ neighborhood (unless you’re delivering the morning paper), were the best they had until Sandoval’s 2009 season. He didn’t necessarily carry the team, but he sure as hell tried.
No, Benjie Molina was a fine Giant and will be remembered by all of us as a fucking great guy who, often enough, exceeded expectations.
And I ask you, gentlemen (question mark), who among us does not love…
a big titty. I know. Different reference. But still…
So I say:
ALL HAIL THE BIG TITTY!!! ALL THANK THE BIG TITTY!!!
Yes, thanks Mr. Molina. In the words (paraphrased) of Curt Jurgens in the movie ME AND THE COLONEL, there will always be a candle lit in the Giants Cathedral of my heart, for Senor Molina
yes SWICK– just know that someone is LQTT makes me LQTM. It’s Pavlovian for me…..
My sex life just took a serious blow. Who am I gonna titty fuck now?
All kidding aside, the big guy was one of my favorites. Wasn’t his fault he was our best option to bat fourth. He did more than a credible job handling the pitching staff and he didn’t get the nickname “Big Money” for nothing. Bengie was pretty clutch when need be. But as we all can see, his skills have diminished. “Eroded” was the word Krukow used just this Monday. The inevitable transition has come. Time for the future, time for Buster. It’s time. Thanks Bengie and good luck.

Yikes.
I just found out that BMM means “beat my meat”. That’s the last time I screw up a BBM for blackberry access
my daughter’s mother has returned from nerve surgery and we have some shit to go deal with tonight related to all that. So, you guys rock on and find yourself a new pair of titties on the internet to beat off to. 🙂
So how many HRs did the G’s hit in june?
Speaking of beating off…(WARNING: THE FOLLOWING COMMENT CONTAINS A GRAPHIC, POORLY THOUGHT OUT ATTEMPT AT HUMOR THAT IS BOTH GROSS, SICK AND DISGUSTING. PLUS, I MENTIONED 3 THINGS AND WROTE BOTH. PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED)
I just handed in my resignation today for a job that was not only cruel and unusual punishment for myself but for all those around me.
So, gentlemen (question mark), should I?…I mean, after hours…I mean…on the carpet?…I mean…should I?
I have always wanted to take a dump on the middle of my company’s main conference room table on my last day.
25, Chuckles.
l looked on the basball ref site and can’t dig it out . . .
Ahhhhhhhhhhh . . .
I guess I’m LQTD . . .
…to your dick?
Dog, swick. I don’t lead as depraved a life as you, obviously.
See the cute doggy in the avatar there? That’s Jozie the wonder mutt.
Here’s the best site for it, Chuckles. The drop downs give you about anything you need. I SAID almost…

Any July predictions? Looking at that beast of a schedule, I’d say we’d be quite lucky to duplicate June’s win total. So I’ll say another “lucky” 13 for this month and pray even harder for a plane crash or two.
I’m visiting family near Fort Worth tonight and watching the Rangers/Angels game. The announcers are cognizent of the Molina trade talk but have just shown Chris Ray sitting in the dugout, so obviously he’s not yet considered a Giant player just yet.
Just read Baggs’ update, I guess Bud needs to sign off on the deal so everything is in a holding pattern till tomorrow. Baggs begged the question, “How often will Posey start behind the plate?” That’s a trick question, right? Because the answer better be every goddamn day that isn’t a Dirty start. If not, well, this organization’s “commitment to excellence” ranks right up there with Dirty Al.
I had to post tonite on this auspicious occassion. I don’t care if Sabes got a chile burrito in return for Bengielena. His removal opens up the lineup. It must have been me calling him the human cheeseburger that finally moved Sabes into action. That, and losing 4 series in a row, perhaps. Adios, Bengie, it was OK while it lasted. Can hardly wait for your ripping of the Giants when you land in Arlington…
Good for the kid, he should be back to playing regularly. But this is less about offense, since he isn’t exactly providing much of that lately., than it is about him learning to C the PS. If Huff stays in the OF, Panda at 1B…or Rowand/Nate with Huff at 1B and Uribe/Rent/Sanchez get a day off. Either way about best lineup they have.
But…does the new guy come up right away? Somebody go south? Do they need a new position guy like Bowker? Casilla now has 7 WPs…what a week for this guy.
Going on the road worked for the Dodgers after 2-8 stretch, it can work for SF too. Get some pitching, and keep the ball in the yard.
Flip Rowand for a bag of peanuts and we can hail Sabes GM of the decade. Now he has finally given Bochy no excuse to not start Posey. Dysfunctional at its best.
Bengie had his time, but frankly, the guy was paid millions of dollars so why the tears? It’s not like he was working for free, and hey, actually HAS A JOB. He’s better off than 99% of other Americans and simply sucked this year so in effect got paid to play a game and stay out of shape where in shape actually counts. Best of luck Molina, don’t let the door hit your fat ass on the way out. Fucking insecure whiner he was – good riddance!
