Thanks for posting the line up, Flav, cuz I hadn’t seen it. Outstanding

  2. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 5:40 pm

It’s the pretty much the standard LU against most RHers lately. Pay attention.

    • TedSpe's avatar TedSpe said, on July 21, 2010 at 5:42 pm

I can still say outstanding. Just like I do after a good malted scotch. Even if I had tried it before

  3. Del Mar Dennis's avatar delmardennis said, on July 21, 2010 at 5:41 pm

Why the hell aren’t Rowand and Renteria in tonight’s lineup? Best and biggest win in years and Bochy messes with the lineup.

    I give up.

      😉

Damn right. That sac bunt was friggin outstanding…

“Why the hell aren’t Rowand and Renteria in tonight’s lineup?”
Actually, Dennis, it’s a fair question if the LU bashing morons were consistent.

    From Baggs:

One more minor league rehab start for Wellemeyer, 85-90 pitches. “Then it’s decision time,” Bochy said.

    Decision time=Bye-Bye Bautista

    • snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on July 21, 2010 at 5:55 pm

Walkemeyer has had major control problems since he’s been with SF. There’s no way you can throw him into a pressure situation with men on base already and expect less than a disaster. How are they going to use him, other than when the game is lost, or a total laugher win? I don’t see how he’s much better than Bautista…

  7. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 5:52 pm

I’d rather have Bautista than Wellemeyer.

  8. Craig's avatar Craig said, on July 21, 2010 at 5:54 pm

Twin, I’m not taking line up lessons from u. You’re the guy who completely blew the sandoval-drop and then followed that up with “well you can really just pick names out of a hat” or whatever u said that day. All I said is I like this LU. As u say, “stfu and enjoy the game”

  9. Flavor's avatar bigflavor said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:03 pm

Bautista is the choice, hands down 100 times, over Wellemeyer. Bautista has been getting the job done in major pressure situations lately. He’s wild, yes. But he’s got great stuff, better than Wellemeyer, and he’s been doing the role, something Wellemeyer hasn’t done all year. Later days, *The Todd*…….

    • snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:12 pm

Just cut Wellemeyer, or trade him for a sleeve of Titleists. He’s at $1million for the season, so you’re eating only $500K max even if they just DFA him, for Kreissakes…

  10. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:04 pm

I’ve given you near daily lessons on the LU-and don’t fuck with my posts. A fuckwad who thinks Lincecum was a key to last night’s win should best do the shutting up, pal.

  11. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:06 pm

  13. Del Mar Dennis's avatar delmardennis said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:09 pm

We’re gonna trade for another arm prior to the deadline anyway. My hope is that neither Denny or “The Todd” see August.

  14. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:15 pm

I feel much better today. It’s been torture having to look at some of this idiocy without being able to properly dispose of the fuckwadian thinking that’s transpired. Sack up, dilwads: that terrible LU gave us the most thrilling game in half a decade. Go to B and kneel next to the 3Bagger…

  15. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:24 pm

Gmen have no pressure tonite. They won the series already. Just get up on ’em early, give Zito a little cushion, and put pedal to metal….

  16. Flavor's avatar bigflavor said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:25 pm

you don’t give LU lessons, you tell us all what idiots we are that we don’t love Bochy’s LU’s–then you *take credit* for them or whatever, rarely offering a prediciton but claiming some strange victory anyway. I pointed out your gaffe on the “Pablo-LU-drop” thing. I didn’t write those posts, you did. Your response was something like “well you can really just pull names out of a hat” or something like that. I don’t have to look it up, I remember it, so do all the other regulars. Just don’t sit here acting like you’re educating any of us on LU’s. At best, you just tell us all to “STFU, Bochy’s playing the percentages”……

  17. stixwiz's avatar stixwiz said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:27 pm

Wellemeyer: Another ML experienced toy for Santa’s package. Toss him in with one of the three SP prospects who did very well in AA, along with one of the three spare outfielders and it should give some pitching-hungry team a hurler ready to go, another in the oven and a 4th or 5th OF, depending on whether they are looking for defense, speed or power-potential.

  18. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:35 pm

They screwed up dropping him to 7th, I supported the one day drop to 8th. He ain’t 7th anymore, is he? 3,4,5, I have zero issue and never did. You just do as you always do when you are at your best: listen to me and adopt my position later.

  19. Flavor's avatar bigflavor said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:36 pm

He batted down the order several games. The fact that they dropped him THE DAY you spent dozens of posts telling us all it would never happen isn’t the point. It was the “pick names out of a hat” post that sort of invalidates all this “line up education” you apparently are giving us on a daily basis…..

  20. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:39 pm

You have removed “pick names out of a hat” from it’s context, FlavorFuck. I warned you not to misrepresent what I post. It’s a bad habit of yours.

  21. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:42 pm

Obviously I was right. He struggled at the bottom of the order. As I pointed out before the break, he started having better swings even from the right side in that last week or so. You ignore that and wait for results. I can see when a guy is swinging well and success will follow. That’s why I rule here, son.

  22. pickledgringo's avatar pickledgringo said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:44 pm

To say Lincecum played no part in the win, yet Rowand and Rent did is classic. Not quite sure I can follow that ‘logic’ there.

  23. Flavor's avatar bigflavor said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:44 pm

I just went back to find the post and it’s been deleted, or at least I couldn’t find it in the thread that we’re discussing. Oh well, as I said, all the regs remember it….
I wouldn’t have brought it up except for the constant maelstrom of posts telling us all about how we’re getting educated and that we need to be paying attention to something. To what? All you tell us is that Bochy’s playing the percentages. As YOU said, sit back, STFU, and enjoy the game……..

  24. Flavor's avatar bigflavor said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:47 pm

and stop being an asshole to people over little shit. Try ignoring a post every now and again instead of going ballistic……

  25. stixwiz's avatar stixwiz said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:49 pm

Fish just capped the Rox 5-2 and the Dagos are down to their last 3 outs trailing Hotlanta by 4-2. A Zito/Giants win tonight would be monstrous huge.

  26. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 6:58 pm

Lincecum SUCKED. He hit a guy ,which SHOULD have fired the Dodgers up. He had zero part in the win unless he gave blow jobs between ABs. If you people don’t want shit, don’t be fucking stupid.

    • pickledgringo's avatar pickledgringo said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:02 pm

I didn’t say he was ‘awesome’, I said he contributed. Like a few others believe, either intentional or not, his ‘misfire’ helped fire up the team and using your standard argument, it ended in a win so obviously he did something right. Learn to fucking read.

  27. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:01 pm

GringoFuck, stay out of it. Period. You’e a fucking moron. You fucks can speculate what Tim’s throwing at Kemp MIGHT have meant. I can show you unequivocably they lose the game if Rent and Rowand don’t deliver in the ninth what they did. Now STFU.

    • pickledgringo's avatar pickledgringo said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:07 pm

Funny how you whine and try and get me banned for allegedly calling you out when you weren’t online (which I didn’t do for the record), yet pretty much daily you find a way to place a ‘Gringofuck’ in your posts when I’m nowhere near a computer.

  30. twinfan's avatar twinfan said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:07 pm

I’ve covered this and it’s not some petty picking on a fuckwad: that ANY fan, after last year, could suggest that delivering a sac bunt to move two runners into scoring position and to draw a walk are inconsequential or automatic;.. THAT is a motherfucking idiot. Period. End of story. Book it, Dano. And DO NOT argue, you have nowhere to go with that idiocy. So keep these people from insulting God and Mamman with this fucking nonsense and I’ll be a kinder soul. That shit should make any thinking human LIVID…

  32. stixwiz's avatar stixwiz said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:11 pm

Those 3 Dago outs were pretty costly for Atlanta. Billy Wagner coughed up a hairball in the top of the ninth and SD tied them. Rox still lost, though.

  33. Craig's avatar Craig said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:11 pm

I think he plunks someone. There wasn’t any pre-game warning. Stupid

    • snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:17 pm

Agreed. First inning plunk is to Dodger’s advantage. If that happens, Bochy should start Rohand as pitcher under the warning, he can plunk Furcal, Rohand gets tossed, then bring in Zito… 🙂

      • snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on July 21, 2010 at 7:20 pm

Either in here or in the Splash or in my local newspaper’s website, the cross-talk, or banter, or repartee or locker room towel snapping — call it what you will — leaves me cold and uninspired; bored. It draws an occasional chuckle. More often, it offends by its puerile punditry — like tossing spitballs in eighth grade. I withdraw. For some, such exchanges are quintessential to blogging or Internet chatter. So be it, for them. For me, OneFlapdown excels when it exhibits smart dialogue, raucous ribaldry, rare angles, obscure stats, personal anecdotes, inside stories, and — most of all — a community of special interests: the Giants.

Huff led off the 4th with a double. Posey moved him to third with a grounder to the right side. If Panda does HIS job, it’s a tie game. Buster’s ground out would hardly be incidental to the run. It would have been crucial. Now I will close that as a “Cold Case” and we won’t revisit that again. This is SUPPOSED to be Room A…
    Shoetops is Panda’s zone…
