Plus Kat, wind is blowing to right…been better keeping Affeldt in there. But expected a split. Bigger problem is Torres and everyone else in the lineup not named Ross…I am really worried about the top of the lineup. I said yesterday that Torres needs to try and lay a bunt down to just shake it up..
GH, I’ve been yelling for two months for Torres to try a bunt once in a while. The other night he proved why he doesn’t. His bunt approach is horrendous. Which makes no sense to me for a speed guy who has toiled in the minors for a decade looking for a way to distinguish himself…

Well, we were playing with “house money” here in Game 2. Dealer dealt us a 16 with a K up for them, and we hit and busted. I wish we would have hit and busted the ball in the goddamn game instead. Well, we got the needed split, it just feels a little “Debbie Downerish” that we couldn’t get both. I’m Gordon Gekko greedy when it comes to this shit. Where the fuck is my Steak tartare?
Gawd, Rent looked awful at the plate tonite, though he had a decent second AB. He looks like he’s swinging a Social Security check — this torn left bicep story has me stumped. Gotta hope Uribe is OK for Tuesday….

Philly ain’t that good. We basically handed ’em this game with poor play and no scoring pressure. The SF pitchers can handle this lineup, the Giants just need to score early, and more than 1 run. Gimme ten total runs for SF over the next three games, and I’d take my chances….

Cain for whatever reason has always pitched better in the daytime. Go figure. Blanton vs Bumgarner? That’s not even close. Doc vs Timmy again? We “own” Halladay. By “ownage” I mean about 3 or 4 runs of the great guy, but that’s 3 or 4 more runs than anyone else gets.

I don’t know what is going on at 3B. I really don’t want Panda over there. With Hamels going Tuesday, that means Panda would hit RHed, and he blows batting RHed. Plus his D just is so suspect with his rotundity right now. But, the CubRunt’s D sukked donky dong tonite. Plus, though he made a nice overshoulder catch tonite, Rent going to his left/right has the range of a guy chained to an anvil. Damn, next year we need to redo the entire left side of the IF….

I’m still pissed thinking these could be a 2-1 game going to the 9th.Oswalt should have been out 3 times that inning they scored 4.Torres could have laid out and caught his hit,Font should have forced him at 2nd easily,and Huff cuts off Torres throw to the plate which would have nailed him too.That whole inning would have changed with better execution,and managing.

Before this series, I vowed that I would just enjoy this series one game at a time, and see how it turns out. The baseball world never thought the Giants would be here this season. It’s just so cool to be this deep in the playoffs, with a chance to go further.
The problem with tonight’s game was that it was hard to enjoy. And I don’t mean because they lost (although that didn’t help), but- the two brutal Font errors, and Sanchez walking guys, and a few other glitches. It just wasn’t well-played tonight by the Giants.
Exactly, Zum. I have no problem tippin’ my cap to the other team when they just come out and beat ya fair and square, but we handed them gift after gift—Christmas in October. It’s not even Halloween yet. That’s what Mr. Stix calls us , the Halloween Machine. We need to stick with being the machine, and stop being Santa Claus come early. Those no-good Philly fans are gonna boo Santa anyway. Time to get back to trick-or-treating those suckers.
Don’t know much yet, couldn’t get a new MRI until late. Insurance crap- had to get readmitted to emergency and order the MRI as an ER procedure. Get results in morning. Right now stll don’t have a lot of right side motor back, and some speech deficit-back on dexamethasone and an anti-seizure med. I’ll check back tomorrow.
We’ll keep a good thought for ya over here as usual. Sure hope ya feel better. In the meantime, maybe talking a little ball will help ease your pain. Looking forward to tomorrow’s game and your commentary.
