A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

What a Day

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on October 28, 2010

There’s very little I can add to what I was part of last night. I’ve never been to anything like it. Sorry for the late post, I got home very late and had to wake up very early. I put 2 videos up below. Here’s a picture of me and Pawlie who i met before the game. Great guy.

The pitch to Renteria was the exactly the same one Burrel jumped back from and took for a ball, and which should have been called strike 3 in his last AB. It was not a “mistake.”

Miller just busted off a fun fact that the first ever inter-league game played was Giants/Rangers and Darren Oliver was the starter. Giants won—game winning hit by Stan Javier.

The ball Huff hit should have been the HP ump’s call. The ball never reached the bag.
It looked fair, but the 1B ump made the call. Worked out for us.

And that was a great read by Ross and by Juan taking the extra base. Doing the little things tonight very well.
In a game like this it’s paramount to play smart ball. Horse going back out for the 8th, I like it.
Ride ’em home to the finish.

That was one helluva race run by our Big Horse. That sumbitch sure can run.
    OK, here comes….LOOGY.

Classic confrontation between the Horse and the best hitter in the AL never happened. I like Bochy’s decision and i love Sabean’s squeezing that lil loogy outta Pittsburgh for Ironhead Joe and Bow-Wow. Hope both of em help the Pirates franchise, cause Lopez just drove another nail in the Texas-sized coffin. Three more outs to go and the big Horse comes home a winner.

From Baggs: The NY Times is reporting that Jose Guillen, left off Giants playoff roster, is under investigation for receiving shipments of HGH.

Could have fooled me by his play here. Unless of course if HGH means “hit grounders haplessly.”

Would it be too much to ask for the Orange and Black to go ahead and complete the sweep this weekend????? I have to chaperon a college tour field trip Monday-Wednesday. I committed to it several months ago. (Call me a shitty fan, but I didn’t think to check if the dates conflicted with the Giants playing in The World Fucking Series). It’s gonna suck balls if the Giants close this out in 5 or 6 and, after listening to or watching about 170 games this year I’m stuck in a financial aid presentation at Cal Poly Pomona when the moment I’ve dreamed about since 1971 finally comes down.

    Good for Rowand!!!!
