The Padres Suck and Another POTW Vote
I am seeing bad things for the Padres this year. Their pitching staff, so dominant for most of last year, is going to fail them this year. I’ll take Bumgarner/Lincecum VS Harang/Stauffer all day long. And their hitting will be as bad as usual. I’ll be surprised if we don’t sweep them in this little 2-game series……

A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
One dumb-fuck inning that was basically caused by the insane umpire. But, we just aren’t getting timely hits and we continue to fuck ourselves with our defense. Chuck, what’s your point? You post this shit every year. “OMG, we better start fast or we’re doomed!”–this isn’t football dude, there are 162 games in the season……..
These early starts are killing us.
Chuck, since Bochy got here the team hasn’t done well in SD. Maybe it’s Mrs. Bochy’s cooking or Flan’s favorite surfer bar, who knows. The Giants ask to start the year on the road (worried about the weather at PacBell or something) so that won’t help the first week stats.

yes, it has been extremely flukey. Opponents have seen stupid broken bat shit fall in for hits. We’re making tons of mental mistakes. If Freddy’s ball falls in we’re tied 3-3 against a team who really didn’t have a single good offensive inning against us the entire game…….
I wasn’t too impressed with the Dodgers in that series. And now watching them against the Rockies…..the Dodgers are not very good. If Kemp hadn’t batted about .500 in that series, they didn’t have much else.
Still think they’re too uptight from all the world series talk. If I’m Aubrey Huff I’m calling a cab and I’m taking Posey and Belt out to get completely shitfaced tonight. Tough to overthink anything when you’re hungover.
I agree that they’re playing tight, trying to live up to being Champs on a nightly basis. It doesn’t work that way. They need to just play the games, and let the chips fall where they may.
I know I’ll find disagreement, but if Brandon isn’t hitting by the time Ross returns, he’s going to Fresno. I hope he makes it moot- but Burrell, Torres, Ross in the OF and Huff at first is how they’ll go if Brandon doesn’t pick it up.IMHO.
I would agree that’s what will happen if Belt can’t get his batting average up in the next couple of weeks. I expect him to sit tomorrow for a day off, with Rowand starting, and Huff at first.
I’m hoping Belt gets his batting stroke going in the next couple of weeks. We’ve seen exciting glimpses of his potential.
Baggs is reporting that Bochy says Belt will start tomorrow. I don’t think tomorrow off for the kid would be a bad idea. But I’ll be pulling for the kid to get it going tomorrow.
I would not disagee, but I hope he finds his stroke ASAP and he stays.

When the hot BBs were in full swing in ST, everything was hunky dory. Then, as the season begins amid talk of and then actual removal of the BBs, the team literally goes limp. Coincidence you say? I think not…

All I’m saying is the teams has started out notoriously slow since Bochy’s been here. Yeah, they’ve gotten bad breaks as well. They were flared to death in LA. The same continued in SD. Even Bubbles 1st inning had 2 bleeders before the blast.
Whatever. Did I say the sky was falling? i just wanted to verify that that team hasn’t come out on fire these past 4+ years under Bochy.
