Ok, let’s see how this goes if there’s a game to watch. I’d like to think that I can leave town for a while and not have to worry about the blog that we all collectively built go to sh!t overnight…..

Belt should definitely get some starts. In a row. But nowhere near the 4 hole. 6th/7th is best at this point.
Say, 3 starts. Huff has sucked ALL YEAR.

OF should be Ross, Torres and Beltran. Say what you will about Torres and his struggles, but with him out there NO life on this team.

If Belt had Huff’s 432 PAs and hit no better than he’s doing right now, the Giants would be no worse off. Not suggesting that’s what should have happened, but I suspect that Brandon would have put up an OPS above 662 given continuous playing time. It is certainly questionable that well established mediocrity Rowand has 302 PAs.

Managers do look at past perfomance. It’s not hard to make the case that Huff is more likely to approach his career averages the rest of the way than Belt is… But as I said last night, they need production from both- right now the guy who has definitely shown that he cannot handle full time duty is Grok. Nate should go back to whatever he does when he’s not starting and Huff and Belt should both play, Huff has acually hit .324 the last couple weeks, BTW. Rowand has nothing to do with this, well, except he’s hitting better than either of them..

If you take you know who’s chances ( think Denny’s favorite guy) and multply by 26, thats how many shots Nate has had to show he deserves to be a regular…

Beltran in the 4, never hit a HR here.
Torres CF, Keppinger 2B, Sandoval 3B, Beltran RF, Cabrera SS, Huff 1B, Ross LF, Whiteside C, Vogelsong P

Generally like the L.U., except i’d probably switch Ross and Cabrera as Orlando has yet to offer any proof of his hitting skills as a Giant. Cody hasn’t done much save for that leadoff dinger the other night. Well, okay, i’m still a bit pissed at Whitey’s passed ball last night and would prefer he not start. Hiram was never really given the opportunity to start so we don’t know whether he could hit at this level. I spose Sabean still hopes to get a catcher via waiver wire. Fuck Cousins!

As tough as this team has responded from adversity this year, yeah, the Posey loss looms so very large across the landscape of this season.

I think Beltran is in the 4 hole just to try something different. Hopefully Torres can re-ignite the top of the lineup.
