Winning, Winning and More Winning…..
The Sun Dressed Goddess delivered us another victory last night. Six in a row since she became our leader. I bow to the greatness of her stupendous rack and would buy her a thousand train tickets if given the chance……
Weird to see Zito join the party last night. I appreciated Raggs comments about him. Next year he’ll be 34 and it’s just not realistic to expect that, even were he to re-capture a shadow of his former self, he would be able to make 33-34 starts a year. Who knows? If he came in as a reliever for 1 hitter or an inning he might be able to find some extra velocity. I don’t think it’s fair or even smart to NOT give him as chance to show us whether or not he can be a marginally effective reliever…..
Cody Ross goes down and that sucks. He was really hitting the ball well the last week or so. I’m assuming this is another chance for Torres to rise from the dead again. It just hasn’t happened for him this year but you never know, anyone can get hot for a week or two. We are going to need him to be productive at the top of the LU if we want to keep our Sun Dressed Goddess happy……
I’ve got no faith in Surkamp today. He could be one of our 2 remaining losses…….
Whewwwwwwwwwww!
8 and 2
They say Wilson might be activated tomorrow, who needs it? We got drama,.
Flavor, I’m not even looking up there..
Pill goes from an assist in the streak to a main player. 5 back. They’re “aliver and aliver”.
Check out Baseball Tragedies, and make a contribution to the thread, guys. Good night.
“Aliver aliver o, aliver aliver o, singing cockles and mussels, aliver aliver o…” Go, Giants!!!!!!!!
Sun Dress Chick Syndrome lives!

Goodnight Flappers
They say no lead is ever safe at the Box of Rox. Skin of our teeth this time, but that’s why some pitchers are professional closers while others help get to him. Casilla is an adventure, all right. With him as the interim, just imagine a full season of Santiago in the 9th. Would there be any hair or fingernails left? Surkamp did about what i figured he would this morning, short by one out in the fifth. With all those walks he must of resorted to nibbling. Box of Rox can do that, even if their lineup is a bit shadowed recently. Many a confident pitcher has entered that venue and even more so in the days of the Blake Street Bombers and left the game shuddering. So it wasn’t a bad starting performance even if shading a bit towards the adumbrated. One thing about the kid ~ he doesn’t seem to get all rattled and lose it with men on base.
Strange lineup, but with the way the stars are lined up presently it worked. Pill must have quite the glow-on right about now. Plenty of guys who start 150 games in a season don’t manage to even get two triples the while. Guess in the Box of Rox it is not mostly a matter of speed like in some stadiums. In that joint so much depends on where you get the ball to fall in.
Five games out in the Division now. Gained a game on the Cards and held our own with Atlanta. Things are getting a bit steamy. Will the next series be huge or what? Meanwhile tomorrow’s matinee features Matt the Horse taking on Esmerelda Rogers. Wanna bet that big ol’ boy from Alabama ain’t a gonna be dealin?
SWEEP IT!
Dang, that Pill is such a singles hitter. Sabes has demonstrably NO CLUE what the potential of these minor league position players is. Cabrera hitless, with another muff. Crawford with an all world barehanded play in the 9th. Do we need any more evidence that Crawford has to play SS? Hell no….
So….you predicted the Giants would lose with this lineup, and then they won, but that proves you were right anyway somehow.
I didn’t predict they’d lose. It was a lousy lineup vs. another lousy lineup. And Cabrera was terrible as predicted…
Your hyper-critical negative energy is what it is. If that’s how you enjoy sports, then whatever.
And a win. Two outs at home left room for some 9th inning drama.
Here’s hoping the boys get some sweet dreams and come Sunday, come to play!
go greatest team in history, my team, the 2010 World Serious Champeens
Crawford proved he’s fine as a late inning defensive replacement, Torres started the winning rally, Pill has been terrific but hardly disproven anything quite yet( Remember that Snarkkles was still on the BowWow Alpo train when Burrell was picked up last year)…Snarkk proved, once again, what a sniveling, fabricating. lowlife he is.
Cabrarta didn’t “muff” anything.
