A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Game Time Mother’s Day Thread!

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on May 11, 2014

Unfortunately, I know the reality of all mothers not being created equal. I got to spend the morning with my fantastic mother this morning and it was the perfect start to one of the best days of the year. I hope you all get to do the same or honor your mom however you see fit. Great day for a game. Go Giants.

I hope there’s a parachute on the plane for Adrianza when they’re over Fresno…

I am a MIchael Sam fan, I wished the Niners had drafted him (especially late). I support gay marriage. My boss is gay and I love her. But I’m not down with this pic posted right after he got drafted:

You just barely got drafted. Be humble. Focus on the task ahead. If Manziel had posted a pic like this (yes, I know it was his boyfriend and not Sam who posted this) people would have called him out as a fool.
Are you about succeeding in the NFL? Or are you about carrying the gay pride torch? Seriously question. And if the answer is “both” then tone it down, do something in the NFL and then start posting pics like this.
    End of rant……..

How do you spell S_A_T_I_S_F_A_C_T_I_O_N ? Get knocked down in the bottom of the 9th where your closer gets dingered by HanRam to tie the score and then come back vs their closer, Kenley Jansen, and tack on a trio to pop em, take the series in the LaBumbos own latrine and come off a taxing 10 game road-trip with a 7-3 happy flight back to SFO, leading the Rox by two and the Bums by 4.5 in the NLW and presently enjoying the best record in the game. Oh, and to add irony to insult, Romo not only gets his first blown save of the season but also his 3rd W.

Are we in their heads yet? Or as Yahoo Sports described today’s adventure, Giants defeat the “worst team Money can buy”.

    Missed the entire game.
Highlights show that I missed a lot. Looks like a great game. Great win. Great roadie…

Bochy’s a genius with that Murderers’ Row lineup today! ๐Ÿ™‚
The Bench From Hell played like……the bench from hell, but others rose to the occasion, and lifted the Giants to victory. Hicks’ HR off Kershaw sent the same kind of message that Pill’s HR against Kershaw did in 2012: ‘Not THIS year, Kersh.’
Tough break for Romo; but, hey, what a TOTALLY AWESOME way for a pitcher to vulture a win. It’ll be legendary. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Pretty funny from Sandoval, quoted by Pavlovic at the Merc:

What was Sandovalโ€™s reaction to hitting cleanup?

โ€œHe was pretty excited with where he hit today,โ€ Bochy said. โ€œHe asked me how much I had to drink last night.โ€

Or maybe Bochy just made up the quote, but whatever, congrats to Sandoval on his great game, and all the Giants for a terrific win, series, and roadtrip.

Missed the game. I figured 3 hours would be enough with Kersh and Hudson going.

Damn. Yeah, we’re down an infielder but Adrianza is not making hay at this point. Abreu HAS to be rotated up and adios Adrianza.

I can’t remember the last time I was that jacked over a win before the All Star break. We beat Kershaw. That alone is huge. Then, throw in that we beat him in LA with Arias, Adrianza, and Perez all in the starting line-up! And, we came up off the mat after Hanley’s homer to pull out the win over Jansen. Throw in a bunch of great defensive plays and many other exciting/frustrating plays and it was one of the most entertaining games I’ve ever seen.

Pablo with 3 hits?!? Him hitting again would be a Godsend with Belt out.

Just saw the highlights of the end of the game. Crazy shit.

Even crazier, Romo gets the win, Machi the save. Don’t see that every day.

I’m going to keep demanding Bochy sit Panda for a few days. I figure I should keep doing it until Pablo is back up to .285…

I would like to say I hope this game removes all the negativity and quote on quote predictions forever.
was a beautiful series and an outstanding road trip. the only thing that went wrong today was that Hudson didn’t get the win
