A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Game Time Mother’s Day Thread!

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on May 11, 2014

Unfortunately, I know the reality of all mothers not being created equal. I got to spend the morning with my fantastic mother this morning and it was the perfect start to one of the best days of the year. I hope you all get to do the same or honor your mom however you see fit. Great day for a game. Go Giants.

Agree Flavor. I barely missed the snow storm (leaving Denver) flying into the SF bay area last night and am happy to be with my Mom in Sunnyvale . . . Where we are about to watch the Giants game.

You’re in town? Sweet. Wanna get some Gold’s action in while you’re here?

      • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on May 11, 2014 at 2:19 pm

Absolutely. Give me a shout when you want to do this . . . Side note – only bad thing about being at my Mom’s house (at least until tomorrow, when they go on their Alaska cruise), is that I can’t yell “FUCK” at the top of my lungs when my fantasy players do a face plant as Gio Gonzalez and Marcus Stroman did today. πŸ™‚

I’m fairly certain LA exported the “wave” to MLB parks. I’m happy the beach ball fad hasn’t had the same success.

  22. Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on May 11, 2014 at 3:17 pm

I know what his shortcoming are, his BA sucks and he’s got average to below average range. But his arm is strong and he hits dongs. If we had a healthy Scoots right now would you want him playing instead of Hicks? I don’t think I would…..

Thank you Donnie Baseball for not walking Buster.

  29. willedav's avatar willedav said, on May 11, 2014 at 3:39 pm

Hudson at 78 was done. Besides the first pitch (aarrgh) belt high one on inside corner to Puig that left the yard, after the mistake by defense on Hanley’s ball he gave up 2 more hits. Good thing Pagan gunned down A Gon.

Boy, second guessers will be all over Mattingly for pitching to Posey with base open.

Hate the Dodgers. That said amazing factoid in OC register today. Greinke has TWENTY starts in a row with 2 runs or less. Next closest in baseball history is 14.

Decisions like that re Posey int walk and pitching to Sandoval. Unreal. Why anyone pitches to Posey ever with Sandoval behind his is crazy. A reminder when we are dissing his decisions occasionally that we are SO lucky to have Bochy

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on May 11, 2014 at 3:57 pm

Sportdude – you are spot on. I know the bay area papers will discuss/mention this, but I am looking forward to reading the LA Times tomorrow and see what they say about Donnie Baseball’s faux pas. What an idiot.
