Three Coins In a Fountain, Each One Seeking Happiness
The headline has nothing to do with the thread. I just couldn’t think of a good headline for today and “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” popped into my head and that was just a classic scene. I haven’t been able to look at a fountain since I saw that movie without thinking about those 3 damn coins…..
Today’s Giant related point:
With Casilla back and Belt on his way, the Giants look about as “whole” as they’re going to get this year. The obvious other “hole” is at 2nd base and Sabean has to do something about this growing problem. While I would prefer that he get Utley it is far more likely that he gets Gordon Beckham. This irritates me because the only reason he’ll target Beckham is because of money and I get irritated when one of the wealthiest teams in baseball tries to “dime store” their way to another title. I know that’s always been Sabean’s plan and maybe his hands are tied by ownership, but Chase Utley and Gordon Beckham are not really comparable.
But Gordon Beckham and whatever cobbled combo of Hicks/Adrianza you want to put together are not comparable either. So you pick up G-Beck and you’ve plugged in a competent big league 2nd baseman. An underwhelming 2 thumbs up from this corner……
The other hole is center field. I think we can now safely assume that Pagan’s horrible defense last week was directly related to this now ominous back injury that has required an epidural. As we know with these shots, the first one often doesn’t take and he’ll need a second one. And there’s a guy moving around Arizona rather gingerly right now who knows all about that.
If Pagan goes down like Scoots I don’t see much coming to the rescue on the trade front. Maybe a “Ben Revere”, something like that. Hey, he could get packaged into a deal for Utley and……nevermind.
I’ll start the “Gordon Beckham Come On Down!” thread now so I can just paste and plug it in when it finally happens……..
“……thrown by 3 hopeful lovers…you know this one? No?”
Good (and funny) post Flavor. I visited the Trevi fountain last year in Rome. What a cluster fuck that was. I’ve never seen so many people in one place (actually not true, as all of Rome’s tourist sites are like herding cattle into small spaces). Anywho, an estimated 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain each day. The money has been used to subsidize a supermarket for Rome’s needy; however, there are regular attempts to steal coins from the fountain. Sabes should plan a heist of this money and get Utley.
What about getting the other Beckham, the “bend-it” soccer dude with the hot wife? Can he hit the bend in baseball?
By the by, it may not look like it, but don’t expect easy pickings with us going against Collmenter tonight. Dude has just about owned us in the past (despite him having a rough month of June with a 6.50 ERA and 1.67 WHIP). Per ESPN stats, in 40 2/3 career innings versus the Gmen, he is 4-1 with a 3.98 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 6.9 K/9. When facing players on the current Giants roster, he has limited them to a collective .218/.276/.371 slash line. Couple that with going against Lincecum, who the Snakes have hammered since September 2011, leaving Timmy with a 1-6 record, 7.42 ERA and 1.71 WHIP over these nine starts. Ugh.
I saw Collmenter as a reliever in Atlanta. Weird delivery. Not fun to watch.
Hopefully, we get that guy.
OK, back in the day the 8th place hitter usually sucked. This was often a good defensive guy who stayed in the LU for his glove and no one cared what he hit. Couple guys who were on champ teams come to mind:
Mark Belanger Orioles SS, career .220 hitter with .580 OPS
Dal Maxvill Cards SS career .220 hitter with .559 OPS
These guys were on teams that won WS and contended for years, and were not good hitters but enjoyed long careers in baseball. On winning teams.
The A’s, with their best record and run differential, have also not gotten jack out of 2b. The guy who plays there most often, Sogard, is under the Mendoza line in 140 ABs. His back up is freaking Nick Punto.
Beckham would be fine. There aren’t a lot of great options out there, and to pay the injury prone and fast declining Utley a ton of money to be in Panik’s way next year seems ridiculous to me.
When Belt returns hopefully Posey only is at C and Hector is reduced to PH and catching Lincecum. Morse goes back to LF, Colvin/blanco are part of bench. The solid 7 Pence Pagan Posey Belt Craw Morse Sandoval keep the Giants rolling. Pitching and D return to form and LA is scrambling for a WC with 6 other teams.
Good post Willie. I agree with you. I am fine with whomever they plug into 2nd (Beckham, Hicks, or Adrianza). If they get Utley, make sure Philly pays most of his remaining salary. I know – it’s not going to happen. I’m more concerned about our pitching. You can never have enough of it.
Me too (concerned about P).
Sogard has an OPS of .508 and has been up to bat twice as many times as Adrianza. A’s SS Lowrie is hitting .223 with OPS of .667, way worse than Crawford. Hasn’t seemed to bother A’s, who continue to pitch well and score runs.
Woodson last night was going to get into the Kirk Gibson stuff but I didn’t hear it.
2 nights ago, Brewers guy Lohse hit Gregorius early in the game. Then leading off an inning he hit Owings kid in the head. Shortly afterward with SP up to bunt he went way up and in. At this point Gibson is seen yelling at him from the bench, something like “Get the ball over” surrounded by couple expletives deleted.
Brewers (trailing at the time) get couple guys on, Braun comes up with base open. AZ SP throws one behind him, and then the ump walks all the way out to the mound and talks to him. Next pitch hits Braun in the back just above the waist loading the bases.
SP is immediately and emphatically ejected by ump. High 5s in the dugout from Gibson and teammates, and much cheering by Dbax fans behind the bench.
Ziegler comes in and gives up grand salami to Lucroy, and now Brewers take lead and eventually win the game.
Lucroy later says there was never any intent on Lohse’s part and doesn’t understand why Gibson went off.
On mlb net Reynolds and Byrnes talked about it. Reynolds take was, hey you get one shot to hit the guy, that’s it. You missed, got the talking to from the ump which is unprecedented, now play ball. Byrnes takes opposite side–your job is hit him, just do it. He’s following orders from Gibson, most intense guy on the planet.
? Is this how the game is supposed to be played? would Bochy do this? Does Lincecum need to?
read this morning that the Dubs can’t throw a first round pick into the Love deal because they traded it last year for Iggy and they can’t trade the following year pick till after the draft. In short, if Denver wants love (and they can work out an extension) I still don’t see how the Dubs offer even touches the Denver offer. But, we’ll see I guess. I wouldn’t add anything to the Klay/Lee offer but with Lacob usually getting whatever he wants I’m worried the Warriors will throw in someone else (like Green) and I hate that idea.
Yeah. If you dump Lee you gotta keep Green, who can also be stretch 4 type of player even though I’d rather see him inside on offense as opposed to shooting 3s. Part of the triangle O involves high post/2 man game on weakside, where Green could dominate.
I don’t see how adding Love at the expense of giving up Thompson helps them. Guard depth was an issue last year, and Martin doesn’t solve lack of ball handling when Steph sits and brings zero defense.
I can’t really go into details here, but if you believe in omens, the Giants are going to do some serious damage to the Diamondbacks this weekend.
Well, Blanco seems to be ready if the worst scenario involving Crazy Horse occurs. I would love to see him prove the naysayers wrong . . . http://www.sfgate.com/giants/article/Gregor-Blanco-says-he-s-ready-to-play-a-bigger-5565910.php
There’s always the World Cup if things go a bit wrong. Watch foreigners beat the USA coached by a German.
Bleep
Henry says they’re considering bringing Duvall up-to play first until Belt returns. Also possibly Panik. Adrianza seems to be the fly in that ointment according to Schulman, and Panik would have to be added to the 40-man. Personally, I’d just DFA Hicks, he was a waste of everybody’s time in the first place. Henry again: “Hicks has not homered since May 23 and is hitting .113 since. More significant, he has struck out 29 times in 62 at-bats during that stretch.” This is who he is. Give the regular job to Panik for a month, if he goes toes up, look for a trade at the deadline. If they won’t promote Panik do the same thing with Adrianza, he’s had good swings of late and despite some rookie gaffes he’s an excellent defender.
My take on Duvall:
They need to:
1.Make a determination on whether Duvall is a legit Major League hitter. They might need to make that determination based on the scouting reports- he’s just not going to get the playing time up here this year to make that decision.
2. Get him some time in LF at Fresno . If he’s to be a Giant in the bigs, they’re going to have to make somewhat of a gamble- either Morse or Sandoval have to be allowed to walk. If he can play LF it increases his chance.
3. See what he’d fetch in a trade if they commit to The Beast and the Panda. I don’t see them moving Belt.
All IMO, of course.
Great Post Michael..
Like to see both Duvall and Panik up,but as we know with Sabes he will probably go get a Beckham or Utley if Phils eat some salary and we could give em some pitching prospects not to high of value, which I’m sure they would balk about.
Well, they may have to make a trade at deadline but I don’t see a downside in giving Panik or Adrianza a good shot first. When Belt is back the bench immediately gets better and the starters will hit enough to allow Panik or Ehire to play regularly for a month before making a decision on a trade.
Hi, Kat.
I agree with most of this post. You can’t have a starter (Hicks) with a K rate of 38%, unless he hits an HR the rest of the ABs. Hicks doesn’t. And, like Chi and others, I’ve said before bring Panik up for a look see He’s had 1829 PAs in the minors, darn near 3X as many as Belt had when they brought him up early. Maybe he flourishes, and no trade needed. Maybe he craters, send him back, then figure it out. Other teams bring young players up in this type of situation, the Giants don’t unless there is absolutely no other choice (Crawford for Bocock, Belt for Huff)…
This is probably the better Cuban prospect than the one we signed…
http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11112005/baseball-player-yasmani-tomas-defects-cuba
At least his name sounds more Cuban. BLEEP.
Willie, I guess intentionally hitting batters will always be a part of the game; but I think it’s really bad form for Gibson to high-five a pitcher in that situation. It’s the kind of thing Bobby Valentine would do, and that’s the type of manager that, in the longterm, no one respects, including their own players. The manager always needs to be the adult in the room. Bochy’s good at being the adult in the room, and I can’t even imagine him ordering a pitcher to hit someone. And if it did happen, he would keep it secret, and not act like a doofus and high-five the pitcher.
I doubt that LaRussa was impressed by Gibson’s behavior there. LaRussa was on KNBR this morning, and was asked several questions about Gibson, and could have given a huge endorsement of Gibson if he wanted to, but he didn’t. He seemed kind of vague about Gibson, and only mentioned that Gibson had a Sparky Anderson connection in his career, and that’s something that LaRussa likes. But really, he could have taken the opportunity to praise Gibson’s managing abilities if he wanted to. Gibson’s been managing the team since 2011 or so. He’s not the “new guy” anymore.
It seems like LaRussa is definitely mulling over making a change at the end of the season, and why not?
The Giants need to make some hay against the D-Backs this weekend. The Dodgers have been pounding the D-Backs all season; treating them like it’s Globetrotters vs. Washington Generals.
This is very illuminating what you said about the LaRussa interview, when he spoke about Gibson. Sort of the dreaded “Vote of confidence” statement before the GM stabs him in the back. Perfected by GMs, Politicians, and Dictators everywhere, going back to ancient times with Julius Caesar and maybe even cave men days – when Tumak asked Sakana and Akhoba for back up fighting the saber tooth tiger. :-).
I tried to watch some of the A’s game last night, but I could only take a little of it. First, there’s the ridiculous “ballpark.” They might as well be playing their games at the Indy 500 racetrack. The broadcasters: bleh. And they’ve got a player named Coco Crisp. Yeah, great. The A’s don’t even seem like a real MLB team. There’s kind of a strong minor league vibe about their whole existence these days.
And the viewers could have played a drinking game last night with how many times the broadcasters mentioned that the A’s have the best record. You could tell they were just waiting for that to happen and they jumped all over it like a hungry dog on some meat. Fosse is fortunate that Remy is a broadcaster; it keeps Fosse from being the absolute worst.
People can find some Native Americans who don’t mind the Redskin name, as if that makes it OK. The same old “divide and conquer” strategy that’s been used to defeat Native Americans for the last 400 years.
Agree.
For fun, read my blog. re the Redskins.
Nipper started a shitstorm.
A terrific piece of writing here by Rick Reilly, if any have the time to read it. His “goodbye.”
http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?storyId=11049946&src=desktop&rand=ref%7E%7B%22ref%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F%22%7D&wjb
I have no respect for Reilly. He had some sort of weird hatred for Bonds, that manifested itself multiple times in multiple articles. Just ridiculous, over the top attacks. And, he’s been called out many times (with links) in the blogosphere for ripping off prior articles he’s written for supposed “current” articles — maybe exactly or darn near word for word. I wouldn’t be surprised if this last article has some rehash of prior material. I guess you can’t plagiarize yourself, but serving up writing as current that you’ve cut and pasted in from the past is just lazy and is an insult to readers. Coasting would be a good word for it. And, he was horrendous on ESPN. He was famous there for telling Stuart Scott (off air) to say on air that Reilly had broken some stupid injury report first on Twitter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PSwm73lCS4 (first 10 seconds). What an embarrassment.
Good luck to him in his retirement…
Yeah, Reilly didn’t translate to TV at all. Much Like Tim Hardaway’s 15 minutes of being a commentator. Reilly’s very hit or miss with me. Some of his SI stuff was good. Great even. A lot of it was pure fluff.
But that’s all I;ve read of him. Actually I read his book “Who’s Your Caddy?” His story re John Daly is pretty fucking funny. The rest is OK.
Steve Young is too funny in that video. . . It takes a second, but he taps Reilly on the arm and gives him a look like, what the fuck, Rick?
If Pagan is out for a substantial period or is hobbled all season by this back thing, (whatever it is – we have no clue, as usual), we’re hosed. Pure and simple. Possible to limp in and win enough to get a WC birth, but IMO no way the division win happens without a healthy Pagan.
Meanwhile, Billy Beane picks up a starter for $1. I don’t have a clue if this guy is any good, and is just a fill in while Pomerantz and his broken hand heals, but for $1, even if the guy pitches just one inning, that seems like a steal. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/dollar-dream-pitcher-1-trade-article-1.1833496
1 dollar? Snarkk.. Jesus even the paperboy in “Better off Dead” was hounding Cusack “Give me my 2 dollars”
Shit, be=ring up the Cubano and put him in center if Blanco scuffles.
Chuck, I think he’s heading for A ball. In other words, a project.
A?!? Ahhh. oh well.
Short season S-K. low low A.
Good thread, Flavor. And I agree with Michael’s post about getting Duval and Panik up now to evaluate, and help determine what is needed before the deadline. I find it hard to believe both will get the call before rosters expand, and hell, they man not even bring up Panik before then. But I do see the logic, let’s see how the Giants’ brass handles the situation.
Great read Zumiee on Reilly. Thanks for sharing.
This certainly looks like one of those games in which the Giants have little chance at winning (Blade’s numbers, etc. as a testiment), but let’s hope our boys in the Orange and Black prove it all wrong. Time to get on another tear and win 8 of 10, etc.
I’d take 2 of 3 at this point . . .
Or is Carbonell still trying to get through customs?
I’m not sure how, but I am confident the name Carbonell has rich marketing possibilities in America.
Unless he plays like Kyptonite and loses all his power..
Supposedly Bobby Evans was saying the Giants were going hard after Jose Abreu, except he didn’t play the OF, and we have Belt yada yada.
So not to piss off The Flap, he settled for Tony Abreu thinking we wouldn’t figure it out…
Chuck, I have to visit your blog more often. Excellent job. I may start doing that in preparation for fantasy league football (something I haven’t played for almost 3 years now). I use to be up on all the players around the league, but have barely an inkling about who’s who now.
Also, you did an especially outstanding job regarding your responses to the the “Redskin” racist posts by NoFear49er. I have one guess – is this person Dennis? Regardless, your cogent responses to his imbecilic posts were spot on. Keep up the good work! 🙂
Yea, NJ49er has a lot of good stuff re other players in the league. 12th is good as well. Once the season rolls around, I get less ancilliary bullshit.
NoFear is a different dog entirely. I banned Dennis a while ago. NoFear is yet another nemesis from the old Chron Niner Insider days.
Pagan got an epidural in his back…will sit tonight, and the team is hopeful he will return soon. Let’s hope…
http://tinyurl.com/oqbs92e
The thing with epidurals is that they wear off. Purely palliative for pain. It doesn’t solve the problem, whatever that is. Hopefully the baby is fine…
I have had a couple for herniated C6 and C7 discs, and the last I had was about 3-4 years ago. So, it depends. Pagan has no structural damage, so once this gets calmed down, he should be good.
A win sure would be nice about now…….
I agree with Twin, forget Utley, Hamilton, and who ever old guy is out there. bring up the young bucks, get there feet wet, and dump Hicks to be able to bring up whoever needs to be brought up
Chuck, I tried to post at your Niner blog, and my post didn’t show up.
I was just going to chime in on the Redskin name discussion y’all had going on.
Hmmm. let me check
I’m not trying to defend Reilly’s behavior in that video clip; but, for better or for worse (mostly for worse) it is a big deal in the journalism profession about breaking a story first. Getting credit for the “scoop,” so to speak. Unfortunately, it does lead to a lot of stupid behavior in journalism, another example being CNN’s huge mistakes made during the Boston bomber story, and the missing airplane story. CNN shattered what little credibility they had left trying to get scoops. They were wrong over and over. A total embarrassment. But all the news media is guilty of it at times.
The first episode of the excellent TV series “Newsroom,” starring Jeff Daniels, does a great job of showing the problems and the absurdity of the race to be first to break a story. Great show.
And, I have to guiltily admit, it can be fun to be the first to “break a story” on the Flap. 🙂
There’s some Breaking Bad fans on the Flap; so……here’s some news about the spin-off “Better Call Saul”!!
http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad/2014/06/amc-updates-on-better-call-saul/
Nice scoop, zum.
I am soooo hopeful this is not a bomb, given the BB pedigree. The network must like what it sees of the first dailies in the can, else it would not have already OK’d a second season, for a total of 23 episodes. “Saul” in the photo in your link looks like he got a new haircut — maybe a prequel look? I’d love to be in ABQ for a week just watching them do location shoots, and eating New Mex food. It would be cool to get a gig as an extra. Hopefully Skinny Pete and Badger are in it to some extent. Those guys are awesome…
1. Gregor Blanco (L) CF
2. Hunter Pence (R) RF
3. Buster Posey (R) 1B
4. Pablo Sandoval (S) 3B
5. Michael Morse (R) LF
6. Brandon Crawford (L) SS
7. Hector Sanchez (S) C
8. Ehire Adrianza (S) 2B
9. Tim Lincecum (L) P
Not sure why those went into the spam filter, Zumie, but I posted them.
Great story about Frank Viola III- out of pro baseball for 7 years, open heart surgery, reinvented himself with the help of R. A. Dickey and Tim Wakefield.
On June 9, Frankie pitched his first game in affiliated ball in 7 years- for the Class A Lansing Lugnuts . Five days later he went 6.2 innings for his first win in a Minor League Baseball game since August 26, 2005.
http://tinyurl.com/pdj2odz
Wonderful story. It figures that Dickey and Wakefield would be there for him, as I’ve seen documentaries and read stories about them that mirror Frank’s story. In short, they had someone (Hough and others) help them master the knuckle ball. More important, those same people assisted them in the “roller coaster” emotional and mental journey of becoming an entirely different type of pitcher and person. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry-the open heart surgery was undergone by his Dad, Frank, Jr.
Fully agree with TF and others regarding Duvall and Panik. Been on that for a week or more with Duvall and for a few weeks wanting SF to press that Panik button as Hicks fades and fades. Can’t afford to have a superating sore in the lineup on a sustained basis. There is a secondary reason for Duvall. Like many power hitters Adam may be just a tad questionable with the glove. So a month or so of exposure to ML pitching, particularly in front of A.L. scouts, could make him a projectable trade prospect even if his D. is not up to NL standards. What would be particularly telling is if he were to park two or three in Kansas City or somesuch venue over the coming weeks.
Here’s the deal with Hicks: you can’t have a guy striking out all the time if he’s not hitting for power. And he stopped hitting for power nearly a month ago. Bochy started batting him 8th and again, that ain’t gonna fly. If the pitcher is coming up and all you can do is K at the dukey shit they’re throwing you (to GET to the pitcher I might add) then it’s time for you to go. There is no place for Hicks on this team anymore…..
It’s too bad because his D was/is pretty good, it improved measurably since ST. Turns the DP well. He just can’t hit much with a bend in it, except on rare occasion. And, that’s all he gets now in the zone. He’s better than Scutaro would be on D, even if Scutaro could play…
Just so he doesn’t feel like a pariah, Hicks will always be invited to the 25th and 50th 2014 Giants anniversaries. Who says we’re heartless. 🙂
Agree…Hicks has got to go. I have been saying for a couple of weeks that 2nd base needs an upgrade.
Cool article, TF, thanks. I hope he can master the knuckleball and keep his baseball journey going.
And I really dig the names of minor league teams. The Lansing Lugnuts ranks up there among the best.
Yeah Zumie,
The Lansing Lugnuts one of my all-time favorites nickname with cool caps as well. Years ago they had a promo night, giving away Lugnuts, not a bright idea Mc Fly!
Other cool minor league caps, Charlotte Mud Cats(picture of a gnarly lookin catfish) and of course the Toledo Mudhens..
E-hire is 7-20 (.350) in June.
Collmenter pitches like his underwear’s too tight…
Make that 14-25 for Goldshit, atleast Timmeh kept him in the yard!
In 1968, that was strike 3 to Morse. Right down the middle at the letters…
A very loud out by craw. What did Collmenter have, about 30 pitches that inning? Should be an entertaining night.
http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/80555430/san-francisco-giants-recent-slump-brings-questions-to-the-surface#!1wjxS
Love the P, T & A reference, one of my all time favorites and a must see in our house before Thanksgiving. John Hughes had great musical taste (Pretty in Pink is an 80’s classic soundtrack) and he showed off his more Americana taste by adding Steve Earle and Gram Parsons into the mix in this holiday classic…great post by Twin. Don’t be a stranger.
He robbed Timmy of strike two.
Has Goldschmidt hit a dinger yet?…
Pablo needs to straighten those out. Well that works.
This guys throwing BP. Hit this shit!!!
Wow. That’s disheartening.
Been a while since I’ve watched a game. Would be good to see a win. Or see Timmy not walk the 8th place hitter.
Had a good feeling going into the game tonight. Timmy holding a very nice edge on # of pitches thrown. 4th inning could be the teller as 2nd time around for Goldilox. Good to see Adrianza extend the inning with that double so El Tiburon Blanco leads off next inning. Collmenter at 85 pitches through four.
Fuck…I though the Shark was going to reel that in…
Timmy making the usual mistake pitch on 0-2. I’d like to know how many 0-2 pitches he’s thrown this season that have been hit me pitches and creamed. Where’s the 0-2 pitch in the dirt?…
What the fuck?
Come on Kruk, Dont sugarcoat the Blanco play, he butchered it ferchrissake!!!!!
Totally agree. MLB replay shows Blanco slowed down when he was halfway through the warning track. He could have caught that ball without hitting the wall. Misplayed. He’s made way tougher catches than that. Ball was smoked, but should have been caught…
Damn! Thought it was in the pool…
Too much real estate.
WEoew, that really sucked
Can we get a meaningful hit? I can’ tbelieve they are leaving collmiter in.
How do the Gyros only have one run on this guy? He’s got 100 pitches already in the 5th…
Oh boy. I can’t take this. bad call and a eye level strike
Fuck this. Timmy gets squeezed and this gets called. 2 of those were balls.
Wasting opportunities all over the place.
They were the Kings of timely hitting 10 days ago…time to get back in that groove and knock Collmiter outta the damned game.
Gibsdos’ tryinmg to get him the win.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck 6″ off the ground. Timmy coulda saves 2 runs wiht this strike zone.
Missing the BP fastballs.
WTF….
Well that inning Sucked..
Sandoval called out on strikes? That’s a rare event.
Man, someone has to shake these guys up.
The pisser is that this fuck Collmenter will exit next inning and escape damage – meaning we have to face a fresh pitcher. Lost opportunities.
This is painful to watch. single ground out, singe= run. 4 hits 4 walks= 1 run.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd here we go again.
Lineup’s lack of production featured a pair of long fly-outs in the 5th vs a tiring Collmenter at 109 pitches. That inning should have been the one to rack up the runs with Blanco somewhat atoning for his fielding booboo by drawing the walk and stealing 2nd. Then the Reverend with that long out to right. Within a couple of weeks Belt should be back. Allowing for a bit of recovery time for BB9, the entire lineup gets long and dangerous on his return. One more good hitter in the game and scoring should take a dramatic rise. Should Pagan return tomorrow and be able to play 5 of every 7 games we are looking at a nasty offense.
The Giants can say all the right things about how they’re not worried; but it’s only natural for them to be tightening up as things don’t go their way. They know their lead over the Dodgers is evaporating. They have to find a way to fight their way out of this funk.
Fuck…
He had the ball. How is this illegal?
He’s got the fucking ball. how can this be overturned?
Thank goodness they got the final out…come on Giants…time to score some fucking runs.
