A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Snake Bitten

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on June 21, 2014

Not much to say. Closed door meeting did nothing. The fresh new BBOTD was useless. Another day, another loss. And Voggy leaves me wanting more….

But still….”Panik Time!!!!!”

Don’t get too psyched, this dude just has to be a little better than the shit-duo of Hicks and Adrianza. At this point in his career, he should be able to at least do that…..

Hoooooooooo boy. That worked out nice.

3 more runs here and I might feel good. Well, the whiskey helped, but I ain’t gonna feel great til they nail this bitch down.

I already like this kid Panik. They said he took good ABs.
Nice, patient AB for the walk…

Bases loaded one down, can’t score. You always want to add on in this POS park…

BTW, nice job by Machi in the 7th, once again bailing out Affeldt…

  8. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:06 pm

    Casilla looked sharp, 3up3down.
Do you bring him back in the 9th, or go to Romo?
    Probably go to Romo…

  9. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:06 pm

Nice to have Casilla back as well.

  10. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:08 pm

Yeah, it’s gonna be Romo. Would love to see Casillla though. Call it stretching him out.

    • snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:10 pm

Yeah, I’ll admit I’ve got some trepidation about Romo, especially in this yard. Another run here would be nice…

  11. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:17 pm

Of course Kieschnick gets a double. Sheezus…

  14. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:20 pm

Did Kieschnick ever get a double while he was with the Giants? If yes, couldn’t have been more than one or two…

  15. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:20 pm

First Gillaspie, now Kieschnick. Who else is going to come back and fucking haunt us?

If he leaves anything up, this game is over.

Cleanse the eye palette? Settle down Kruk.

  20. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:25 pm

Do you walk Goldie, put the winning run on base? The winning run is AT home, with an HR.
I walk him, or give him 4 wide and see if he fishes. You can NOT let this guy beat you…

  21. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:25 pm

I walk this guy every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

  22. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:25 pm

Walk this fuck. Do not let Goldshit beat us. More important, it is the right play to ensure a force at all bases.

  29. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:27 pm

Goldie ALMOST tied it up, the guy is an animal. Walk his ass, I don’t get why they don’t do it. I just do not get it…

    Fuck you Goldie.

  31. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:28 pm

Romo as closer is leaking friggin’ oil. No doubt about that. No way I trust this guy now with a one run lead. The league is letting his frisbee go by, and waiting for a hit me pitch. Freakin Kieschnick gets a double off him? Bochy’s got some thinkin’ to do. Casilla looks sharp and strong after the layoff…

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:29 pm

Agree. The wheels may not be falling off, but the tires are shredded.

  32. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:28 pm

Yeah, I still think that strategy was wrong (even though it worked). No idea why they didn’t walk him. Dumb ass move that worked.

  33. Locojuan's avatar Bozo said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:28 pm

Alright, the start of a winning streak.

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:30 pm

        hehehe

  34. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:31 pm

I think the idea was to miss the plate with all the pitches. Romo left it out there. /

I mean, what’s Bochy telling him? Hang a slider? I’d think he’s telling him MISS THE ZONE!

  35. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:33 pm

Yeah, I’d seriously think about Casilla for the next couple save opportunities.

  36. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:36 pm

Too bad the Bums won or this evening would be perfect.

  37. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:44 pm

Romo’s ERA must be about 5.5 now. Troubling.
But, we can bask in a win, finally. Not that it was EZ…

  38. Locojuan's avatar Bozo said, on June 21, 2014 at 10:44 pm

The evening might not be perfect but it’s good enough for me. That’s a wrap.

Player of the game: the new BBOTD “Dumpyass”…

  40. eddacker's avatar eddacker said, on June 21, 2014 at 11:02 pm

Torture is back, Romo has not lost his confidence, twin is cracking me up with those posts, saw Belt in the dugout without any devices on his hand and July is 8 games away.
I was going to see the new BBOTD, but it might spoil my winning buzz right now (or my breakfast later).

  41. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on June 21, 2014 at 11:05 pm

Marty Lurie confirms — Kieschnick got ONE extra base hit his entire time with the Giants. So, he gets the double tonight off Romo and scores. Oy…

  42. chipower9's avatar chipower9 said, on June 22, 2014 at 12:00 am

I had paused the game earlier and just finished watching the game. I don’t remember when one single win felt so damned good. That’s damned near as good as sex (damned near). Kieschnick did rope a double, but he did not score. Big Country takes the ball tomorrow…time for the G-men to win a series on the road.

  43. chipower9's avatar chipower9 said, on June 22, 2014 at 12:03 am

Even if Scoots never plays again…it is good to see him in the dugout, in uniform, with the team. I mentioned earlier in the thread that even if they get to a point where he can come off the bench with a PH and play an inning or so here and there, that will be cool as hell.
