Avoiding a Sweep
Just have for a quickie thread change. I’m going on record predicting a very good start from Peavy tonight. Now, in order to get a win we have to score at least one run and I have no faith or confidence in that. But it’s happened before, it’ll probably happen again.
Time to call up Matt Duffy. He can switch from SS to 2B. Uggla way to lose tonight. This team will jell again should (keeping fingers crossed) Belt and Pagan get back before mid-August. After this series SF will need to pick it up again. LaBumbos working to deal Kemp for Lester. Sabean needs to get on it. How many prospects would Marlon Byrd cost? Morse gets his usual single meaningless hit once again and costs in LF.
I would be happy with Frank Duffy at this point…
Yeah, Morse, among many many others, has completely dropped off the face of the earth.
One HR in 46 games?
Even worse is the 6 RBI in that span.
Letting a run score on the K was flat stupid.
It’s been another one of those days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEgGslcXXL0
Take heart gang. If they beat us by a one-run margin facing what was our half or more B-team the LaBumbos might not look so hot when we get a couple guys back and add one or two replacements for the Uggla one and for our new power off the bench, cody Morse. Duffy and Byrd. Get it done, Sabes.
“Rios, Byrd or any Phillies OF…zzzz.” WillieD’s constant put-down of other Flappers’ suggestions: zzzzzzz ….
Feud? There’s nothing like mutual contempt…….so honest
The difference between a Bad Penny year and a Brad Penny year? In the latter, Sabes actually hits the dollar bin, but he hauls in Rick Wakeman instead of Neu because he can’t really tell the difference.
i’m feeling mighty low
I finally saw “Downhill Racer” a couple of nights ago.
It was pure Uggla……
I am downing the last few bites of our pint of Three Twins Sergio Romo Mexican Chocolate ice cream. A little glass of Bank Note Scotch . . . and a very busy day at work looming to distract me.
WillDav is correct. This loss is on Posey. Even worse than Uggla. Passed balls never blocked, and didn’t look Gordon back to 3rd. If you hit like an MVP I can forgive the ole defense…but .278 on pace for 75 rbi’s or so. NOT.
He did hit a homerun. Don’t that count for somethin’?
Well, Phil Linz homered in Game 7 of the 1964 Series. Still the goat of the game…
If it won the game,. it would have.
