What the Hell Was That?
I had the game on with no sound last night, getting stuff done, and all of a sudden I looked up and saw the tarp on the field. It was like it just came out of nowhere. I was shocked as I didn’t see any of that coming on the radar leading up to the game. And because I play daily fantasy now, as opposed to the season long fantasy, I have become somewhat of an expert at reading radar at weather.com. But clearly, I missed something last night.
After the tarp went on the story of the bumbling grounds crew came out and I sat there watching in disbelief as they tried in vain to rake up the lake that had formed at shortstop.
I live in California, I don’t understand weather like that….
Third hit for Panik . . . Stud in the making.
Panik since Mac-a-Loo-za: 21-48 (.438)
Panik before Mac-a Loo-za: 15-74 (.203)
who can argue that you boys turned the Yonkers boy around?
Japan Pacific League baseball: Fujikawa induces Ishikawa to fly out to left.

I am often a notable doomer, as you know. Maybe it’s reverse psychology from all those lean years. But I am admitting to myself a feeling creeping in. It was not even there a week ago. Namely: strange convergences that were not there, now synchronizing. Panik. Susac. Peavy. And all the rest. What I am mumbling about is not only hope but the same murmur I felt in 2010. Can’t explain. I really can’t. Plus, I know I’m not the first to voice this.
Nice win (I’m dragging though), let’s get two tomorrow.
dragging? the night is young!!!
I’m getting to be an old man, Pawlie. Last night’s, sort of game, kind of took it out of me. Go kokonuts without me, because I’m out. Cheers man.
no, I get it. I should’ve been in bed hours ago, and I AM on the old side but don’t live that way. Nuff said.
A bit weird BB15 airing out Machi in the 9th with a five run lead. Maybe he figures he can still pitch in a pinch tomorrow if needed. Dude has done one helluva job this season. That strong 7 for Jake was just the ticket to keep those Bullies fresh for tomorrow.
Damn fine game. Go Giants. Tomorrow at 2. Chuck should be happy as Ishi had a big night. He was one of Chuck’s favorites a few years ago.
Puig: 13/59
Posey: 13/58
They’ve had almost an identical number of runners on base during their ABs, so the similar RBI totals are not surprising. Puig has had many more runs scored because of his high OBP.
Yasiel is already the greatest Puig of all time:

There was another Posey, too. You can look up his first name.
If I wrote it, you wouldn’t believe me.
Oh, my.
