Bummer, neither of those were terrible throws.
Pence throw was up the LF line some James, Panda sorta of olé it, gutsy running by Ramirez challenging Pence arm though ..
Starting to look like another “Nightmare Game”
I hope the historical Bochy family is not the highlight of this game, too.
How about that AB out of Petit?
Yay Buster!
What the fuck Buster?
What the hell is Posey doing going for 2 there? Ffffff
Great hit, but brain-dead baseriunning there Buster. Took tha bat out of Panda’s hands.
What does it take for a Giant to get a bunt down… Criminy…
Was that just a bad route by Pagan? Seemed to overrun it.
Ugh.
Just woke up and I haven’t checked scores; info on new drone ISIS strikes; what George Clooney and “fill in the blank” girlfriend are doing; but I can tell by the tone/content of these comments, that the Giants aren’t winning in a rout, right?
Down 4-2 top 9th.
Let Pablo go. He’s too inconsistent. Susac catches. Buster to third. Belt at first. Ishikawa kept on as a good man on the bench.
Don’t disagree or necessarily agree, but does anyone think Belt could handle third?
A LHed 3rd baseman? blade, what wacky tobacky are you smokin over there?…
Yeah Blade, bring me back some of that killer Mota/Smoke.Belt to 3rd?
Hell let’s strap the gear and his concussion noggin to catcher instead.Always wanted to watch a LH thrower behind the dish for shits and giggles!
LOL AK . . . About 30 years too late, as I stopped doing that shit way back when. Ironic how on just about every street corner I get asked, “Tuk tuk cab? Umm . . . How about weed?” 🙂
Wild Card Ho.

His playoff record: 1-3, 4.23 ERA
Maalox, even half way around the world, you are an annoying MOFO.
Not again!!!!
http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=331018124
Good retort Zum. Just by his presence here, Maalox shows what a tool he is. lqtm.
The biggest thing to come out of the weekend may have been Ryu’s injury. That could have a significant impact on the division race.
Injuries may now be the Flappers’ last best hope.
Injuries are part of the game, Flabby. Too bad the Dodgers will make their usual quick exit from the playoffs, if they make the playoffs.
Must be a drag not making the World Series since Reagan was president. Reagan!! LOL!!
SF, though, has been fortunate to avoid any significant injuries.
Petit deserved better. Giants can’t give LA runs on a platter with doofus fielding, then running themselves out of a first and third (Posey inexplicably trying to stretch a single into double)…
Well that sucked ballz.
I am so amazed (shouldn’t be) how I can feel on top of the world with this team one day and then morose the next. I guess Frank Sinatra said it best. “That’s life.”
Yeah and Frank had plenty of help from”The Nectar from the Gods”
Jack Daniels
2 shots
3 ice cubes
And a splash of water
Ryu is going for an MRI on Monday.
From an article today: “question remaining is just how long Ryu will be out, after pitching just one inning Friday night. Ryu missed 20 games and 22 days on the disabled list with left shoulder inflammation in April and May, and told reporters on Friday night his shoulder felt similar to that injury. Such a timetable would wipe out any remaining regular season starts for Ryu, and would put the possibility of any playoff starts in jeopardy.”
Chargers tore up Richard Sherman today; Seahawks lose.
well, at least the Seachickens lost.
Flabby – you have to work on being a better winner – sure the Dodgers have won 5 WS (out of 9 appearances) to the Giants 2 (out of 5 appearances) since both teams moved west – but it’s been a looooong time since the Dodgers closed the deal – the Giants have won 2 of the last 4. Nothing worse than a shitty, classless winner.
BTW, Flab, I’ve watched and celebrated only 2 of the 5 WS wins the Dodgers have had – I was born 2 years too late to see the ’65 team do it. That makes me even with most (all?) Giants fans here – how many have you seen? One? None?
Uh, yeah – that would be all, then. Duh.
So if you had been born in 1965 you would have watched and rooted for the Dodgers in the World Series?
Flav, remind me again why you allow this clown to post here…classy guy, good baseball fan? Um no.
Mostly he shows up here on rival blog to gloat and then disappears for months on end when his team fails in the playoffs, if they are actually lucky enough to reach them.
Dude’s an insufferable bore.
Giants suck in the big series. Too bad. Looks like the Niners suck too. God how bad can the locals be? Rooster sucks big time.
Sheesh, you too Nip? I thought you didn’t mind Rooster here? Anywho, you’re right about it being a bad day in SF regarding our sport teams.
Willie, going to assume you are referencing Maalox, Plablum or whatever the fuck he calls himself. Just my take, but Rooster and Sandy I have no problem with (albeit, I want both of them to fess up on where they primarily post – Fair is fair . . . In effect, there may be a Flapper or two (not myself) whom might want to visit their Dodger “web digs.”). Anywho, in my opinion they have good viewpoints, add to the conversation, and I like them both.
Regardless of who you were referencing – I WILL ALWAYS TAKE THE SIDE OF A FLAPPER IF HE IS ATTACKED BY ANY DODGER FAN.
I think he meant Rooster, Blade…
Thanks Loo. I’ll defend his right to say it then . . . By the by, what time is it in New York? Still trying to grasp the time difference here and there. We the only ones up? LOL
It’s just after midnight in NY. Rooster goes way back to the glory days of the Splash. He’s a good guy, but he is also full of crap with this good sport routine…
Dunno. I only posted on the Splash for maybe 2 years, then found this place via Chi. What I don’t get is why anyone would want to post at their rivals blog? That doesn’t make sense to me. With Sandy, at least I know he lives in the city (similar to me living in Denver and posting in the Denver Post . . . But, I never post on the local Sherpa blogs).
So, blade, is Ankor Wat as spiritual as advertised? or touristy?…
Most impressive site was the one with the heads and naga (serpents). Also, the large temple (forgot the name) where you had to walk a bit on a raised wall was very impressive. Probably the tallest temple (and building in Siem Reap) Angor Wat. I was sweating quite a bit after climing to the top.
Yes and no Tom. Sorry to equivocate, but being there at sunrise was special, despite the crowds, which are dispersed because of how many temples there are. Not certain, but I think the temple complex is the largest in the world in one area. You have to take a tuk tuk to each distinct temple site in most cases. The Prohm (sp) site with the Banyan trees is quite small compared to the other sites and that was crowded. Plus, we had a monsoon rain hit us as we were traveling to the compound.
Give it five years and I think yes, it will be too touristy.
The 49ers haven’t lost a lot of games during the Harbaugh era, but when they lose, this is how they usually seem to lose. Up 17-7 with the ball inside the Bear’s 10-yard line, they run 3 straight running plays and settle for a fieldgoal. That kind of conservative jive is frustrating to watch. Joe Montana and Jerry Rice were probably just shaking their heads in bewilderment at that.
Kapaernick had a bad game, but the Niners receiving core still seems inadequate, and the pass protection broke down a lot tonight. The Bear’s receivers looked good, and put on a clinic on how to abuse smaller defensive backs in the endzone.
How did the new DB rookie look? I think his name is Ward? He’s a munchkin I understand, but packs a wallop.
I didn’t notice him in particular, but the DBs got absolutely abused in the 4th quarter. Just completely worked over.
Ward had a shitty night. But by the end, the whole defense looked like shit. The killer was the Bears giving up on the run in the 1st quarter and the Niners not dialing up the pressure on Cutler. He was pretty much untouched except for the penalty. The flags were ridiculous. The game was unwatchable with ticky tacky penalties being called all nigh on both sides.
Thanks Chuck.
I’m not sweatin’ this lost LA series. Giants won the game they should have, and lost the one they should have. The middle one that was up for grabs turned into one of those inexplicable ball games where the whole thing just craters in on you. It happens. The thing about that game is Huddy — he looks done for the year. I mean, not a lot left, otta gas, on fumes. He might sputter a good start in the next two, but unlikely. As for Timmy, he needs to go to a Zen center and come back next Spring with a new outlook and a new motion. $17 million for him looks laughable now. The rest of the pitching that gave up the 17 runs, I’m not worried about. Kickham, Bochy, whatever. BTW, has Mike Kickham ever pitched an inning in an SF uni without giving up a run — whether his or somebody else’s — just askin’. I assume at least one he’s posted a O up there. For the life of me I don’t see why that guy is on the 40 man…
Thanks for that take…outlook snarkk. I like it. Giants have been in 4 WS since the dodgers last were in 1….as far as Rooster goes, he should stay out for dinner that pompous ass who only shows up here when he can rub some shit in. Btw, it’s a little early for you to do some ‘gloating” you fucking bird. As for Flabio or whatever else he wants to call himself, we should not ever respond…as if his posts are invisible…that will get him the fuck off of here.
Or BF could ban Flabby. BF seems to be the only one amused by him. But it’s BF’s blog. 🙂
Exactly re: the troll. Responding with invective is exactly what it wants.
Blade, are you doing your round-the-world blog, which had great commentary and photos — and always some loverly International Babes? Yeah. I should just wander to your bookmarked blog and see for myself.
I had the same question and need to wonder over and check it out. Looking for some hot Cambodean ladies rocking some Giant gear…
Been listening to The Byrds. 20 Essential Tracks. 15 or so gems. I loathe the Dodgers: their uniforms, their culture, their smutty smugness, their Dodger-ness. I do, however, fully enjoy watching Lasorda rants on YouTube.
Was just listening to some Byrds the other day (Sweetheart of the Rodeo). Great stuff. Sad that Parsons left us so soon.
Another thing about the Niner game….I didn’t get the strategy of treating the last 6 minutes, down by 8, as a ONE possession drive, mixing in several running plays. Their strategy, apparently, was to run down the clock, get a touchdown AND a two-point conversion, AND then win in overtime?? A bit conservative, I would say.
The last 6 minutes should have been treated as a two-possession game, in 2-minute hurry-up mode the whole way.
Niner fans who want to see Niner football, as we remember it in the ’80s and early ’90s, have to watch other NFL teams to see it.
One of the ironies, to me, has always been how “smashmouth football” coaches get so wimpy sometimes, as if the passing game, on offense, near the endzone is some kind of atomic hazard-pile to be negotiated with oh so carefully.
But, I guess it’s to be expected. since Harbaugh played in the Big 10, and played for Ditka in the pros.
BF, the Flap used to be a zero-tolerance troll-free blog. It was one of the great things about the blog. I’m not pleased with the change in policy, I have to say.
I concur on the trolls. I say shoot and ask questions later…
Nobody here respects Nightengale?
having faced the front end of the losenges pitching staff I now call out for the heavens to grace the sherpa offense to do its duty against the bottom end. meanwhile? Dbacks die.
Huge road trip. Every game is magnified now. Giants really need to win at least 6 on this roady. Hoping they get back on the good foot with a sweep of the snakes.
It wasn’t over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, so don’t get your daubers down.
Humm Baby – GO GIANTS!
Were you a history major, Chi?
Zumie – how was your show Friday night? Avett Brothers were awesome. By far the best I have seen them (new female fiddle players is unreal).
