I mean, hey, it’s a game that still counts. 000 and Perez are batting not only in the same game but back to back. Then Hest by Hest. So that’s 33% of your line up, in a row, that won’t be getting a hit tonight…….
I can’t listen to any of the A’s broadcasters for more than a few minutes, max. Something about them, or the team, or the combination. Ken Korach is OK as the lead guy, but no more than OK…
I watched most of the first 4 innings of that game. The A’s scored like 16 runs in 4 innings. And they were, without question, the most boringly called 16 runs I have ever heard in my life. It was like no runs had been scored. At one point during the 10 run 4th, Fosse sleepily muttered that the A’s were closing in on the franchise record for most runs scored in an inning. I think he said 13 was the record but he made such a quiet reference and I was so bored and distracted with his boringness I can’t tell for sure what he said or what was happening in the game.
Giants been doing okay lately against so-so teams with 5/8ths of their starting lineup. Imagine how they would be doing with Panik, Pence and Crawford. Team is hanging tough even after not having those guys for several critical series. Bullpen is excellent lately and the starters have mostly come around ~ though Hudson sure was gassed there in the 5th last night. Will that next start go to Blackburn?
exactly. And this would hold more intrigue if those 3 guys you listed were still playing. By the way, I know there’s still a min or two to go before the game starts but I just saw a pan shot of the crowd and Baer is a damn liar if he says this game is a sellout. There is NO FUCKING WAY that many people bought tickets but didn’t go to the game.
How does 000 not field that ball Posey threw. He was RIGHT THERE. Major league shortstops at least knock that ball down every time. 100% of the time. Shit, triple A shortstops knock that down at the very least.
There is nothing I hate more about Krukow’s comments than his “you gotta earn that pitch.” FUCK THAT. If it’s a strike call it a fucking strike. If it’s a ball, call it a fucking ball. Krukow and his obsessive, weirdo book knowledge on all of these umps is beyond played out. Bring on robot umpires, if nothing else than to shut Krukow up…..
Hesty strikes out the side. lqtm. That ball Duvall flailed at for strike 3 is why he’s never going to do shit at this level. That ball was a foot and a half outside.
I heard Bochy say on pregame that Pence might be ready to play by the last series of the season. I predicted long ago that Bochy’s first prediction of two weeks really meant no earlier than Sept 20. I was too optimistic…

Hmm. I see we are off to a rocky start, but I feel we can overcome this 3-0 deficit. After all, the Giants haven’t even batted yet. I know it is premature to comment along these lines, but looking at all the home games to come, I am beginning to suspect the Giants CAN put together a respectable surge to close out the year. I honestly do not think we will get help from losses by the Dodgers or the Cubs. But if we win, say, two-thirds of the remaining games, I’d find that very rewarding, especially given the team’s injuries, the nature of them, and who is injured. I’d salute such a season-ending surge. It would do the Giants and their fans proud, even during this era that declares you’re a failure if you don’t win it all. I reject that notion.
well, I’ve tickets to two games in the next two weeks, and I’m looking forward to both. Back in 2013 I took a flyer on a Sept. game, long after the writing was on the fence, and I ended up at Petit’s near perfecto–one of the finest games I’ve ever attended. Great night, although my date still doesn’t understand why I failed to tell her out loud what was going on until the very end of the 9th.

everyone around us observed the jinx rule, although one elderly fellow a row below me with headphones on kept railing: “Why do they talk about it? Why don’t they shut up?” His wife tried to calm him.
As a long time degenerate gambler, I’m all for betting to make things interesting, but I hate to think otherwise loyal Giant fans are rooting for guys that are competing directly against us…

It doesn’t bother me in the least. I will always take a Giants win over my personal gains in gambling. Why? Because I am not betting that much (compared to Flavor for instance). I like the action, it makes the games more interesting to me. By the by, what is your email address Loo?
Posey is hitting .400 this month, only 2 HRs yes, but slugging .575 and OPS at 1.100, tops entire season.
Yes he gets tired and is rested but just like last year, finishing strong.
Hey by now everyone that has been playing all year is tired, Cs even more so but he’s rolling.
I know it sounds crazy but in a weird way it’s funner to watch and root when the outcome isn’t life or death. Now I can watch to enjoy my team. Not have stroke when the ss can’t catch a ball. A small upside to being mostly out of the running. Any one else notice that?
Another freakin moron fan who dares to wear the orange&black touching that live ball.
And yeah they nailed Schumaker at the plate, and their letting it stand?
And now theirs no fan interference? Is their full moon tonight?
Did you ever guzzle a beer while your simultaneously pissing? It’s great fun. It feels like your just pouring it right through your body. The things I do to amuse myself…
I’m not a believer, Zum. How do you know they really do anything?
I think they just knock you out and then sit around laughing at your ass till you wake up.
So the best thing the relievers did that inning was throw the ball away.

rare commentary from Vin Scully. Rockies circled but let fall a pop up into mid left. 3 players could have caught it. When it dropped….”boys last place is last place. Watch a bad team long enough and you will see why they are in last. Ouch. Cost my starter a win in my fantasy playoffs. Grr

Just looked. It’s September and we have 6 guys on the bench and 4 of them can’t play with injuries. Did we call up guys or what? Bumgarner gets hit in the hand against an 102 heater
Well, looks like we could clearly have used the Lost in Space Robot there to call those balls and strikes from Chapman. I’m on radio, Miller says the pitchFX says that called strike 3 on de Aza was 3 inches off the plate…
000 with a great AB, got hit by the pitch for the RBI. About the only way he was going to get on — and he got it done. MadBum continues to amaze. First batter all year out of 57 batters that have milked a walk after being down 2 strikes to Chapman. Also, first pitcher EVER to face Chapman that got on base…
Strickland is an enigma. The dude can look great, then in another appearance, like tonite, just comes in and leaves a steaming pile out there on the mound. He has got to get command of his slider, and find a way to put movement on that fastball. Troubling that he’s been up most of the year, yet Rags and Gardy haven’t been able to get him over the hump to avoid these stinker outings…
What a comeback, and what a Great hitter is Posey!!
He is just dialed in this month, always focused for the big moment, just money in the bank with his approach..
What a comeback, and what a Great hitter is Posey!!

Let’s end this madness!!!
I think the Giants are running on fumes these days, pitchers and position players alike. I give this squad credit for doing what they’re doing with half the starters on the DL.
I’m running on fumes, too. G’nite Flappers…

G’night. I’m not far behind. Jumbo really is jumbo.
It’s September 15th, and it’s a meaningful game. At least keep putting pressure on the Dodgers and Cubs, and force them to play their best ball.
I mean, hey, it’s a game that still counts. 000 and Perez are batting not only in the same game but back to back. Then Hest by Hest. So that’s 33% of your line up, in a row, that won’t be getting a hit tonight…….
the ultimate question as I watch the A’s game right now: Is it AL baseball that’s boring or Glen Kuiper and Ray Fosse?
The only explanation for Fosse’s longevity–they’re still paying him today what he started for in 1986. (+/- $40,000.)
spot on hilarious
I can’t listen to any of the A’s broadcasters for more than a few minutes, max. Something about them, or the team, or the combination. Ken Korach is OK as the lead guy, but no more than OK…

The A’s announcers are so boring, I was getting sleepy writing about how boring they are…

It’s an asinine streak anyway with a bunch of empty seats…
How does 000 not field that ball Posey threw. He was RIGHT THERE. Major league shortstops at least knock that ball down every time. 100% of the time. Shit, triple A shortstops knock that down at the very least.

Let’s get the Lost in Space robot to ump.
Danger Danger Will Robinson — Strike One!…
Wouldn’t the Robot say, “Danger, Danger (fill in the blanks) on strike 2? It seems a little too early for “Danger, Danger” on strike one???
Hesty strikes out the side. lqtm. That ball Duvall flailed at for strike 3 is why he’s never going to do shit at this level. That ball was a foot and a half outside.

I was at O.co. Wrong game. Friday night.
yes that was a Friday night.
everyone around us observed the jinx rule, although one elderly fellow a row below me with headphones on kept railing: “Why do they talk about it? Why don’t they shut up?” His wife tried to calm him.
those 3 dopey fake umpires in the stands are pretty good with their punch outs….
BA-BOOM!!!!
Buster never quits, that’s for sure.
That HR just made me a lot of money.
Umm . . . Well, some money anyway. 🙂
What Dodgers are you rooting for?
Actually Loo, none – weather guys were indicating problems for that game, so I faded it. I have shares in Harper (2 bombs), Heyward, Ross, and Melky.
As a long time degenerate gambler, I’m all for betting to make things interesting, but I hate to think otherwise loyal Giant fans are rooting for guys that are competing directly against us…

barn1661@yahoo.com
Ding-dong bell-ringer by Buster. He was about due. Nice timing.
Posey is hitting .400 this month, only 2 HRs yes, but slugging .575 and OPS at 1.100, tops entire season.

Well, I’ll agree that the playoff games are pure stress to me. I enjoy them more after the goal is all accomplished. 🙂
Jarrett jack!
Top ‘o the world, Ma!!!
There went any thoughts of Perez making the team next year.
No need to chase Cespedes either…
Ask Parker who the first fan to ever speak to him was…
If I caught that homer, I’d hold out for a hand job from Amy…
Lulz
I’d give anything to watch that negotiation go down live.
Call that one an outta the Parker.
I have to Fess Parker up Stix, that was funny..
Shocked that the Sherpas have a lead over the Dodgers tonight (3-2).
Not anymore…
Yeah, you knew the Sherpa’s “Misery Index” would trump their “Happy Index” results.
http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci_28384514/rockies-misery-index
Concussion for Belt…
Well hopefully not.
Probably so Loo,
That’s why he’s still out there, with are crack medical staff just sayin, suck it up kid!
I’m watching Gamecast dots . . . Does he have brain damage AK? What happened to him? Should we trade him while the tradin’ is still good?
Enquiring minds want to know . . . 🙂
3 idiotic fans there.
All 3 trying to be Bartman.
Cincy got a little screwed on that.
Another freakin moron fan who dares to wear the orange&black touching that live ball.
And yeah they nailed Schumaker at the plate, and their letting it stand?
And now theirs no fan interference? Is their full moon tonight?
Well Belt’s head almost did a Linda Blair 360% Blade, so trade him before he goes full circle is what most inquiring minds would say…
Man, this half inning has lasted forever.
I’ve killed a couple of beers, and pissed them out,and this inning is still going on!!
Did you ever guzzle a beer while your simultaneously pissing? It’s great fun. It feels like your just pouring it right through your body. The things I do to amuse myself…
Kind of similar to the saltwater laxative before a colonoscopy.
Every 5 years, fellas. Don’t forget.
Not this kid Zum. I send in a poop sample. My physician says it works just as well. 🙂
I’m not a believer, Zum. How do you know they really do anything?
I think they just knock you out and then sit around laughing at your ass till you wake up.
Strickland just isn’t there yet. Maybe he’s not going to get much better.
Strickland just doesn’t have that second pitch he needs..
As the marathon inning from hell continues!!
Kontos faded at the end of the season.
Grr
Do we really want Bumgarner facing Chapman’s 110 mph heat?Scary if he got beaned..
STUUUUPID
Insulting to our bench guys too
They deserve the insult. 🙂
Just looked. It’s September and we have 6 guys on the bench and 4 of them can’t play with injuries. Did we call up guys or what? Bumgarner gets hit in the hand against an 102 heater
But entertaining…
True that Zumee
How crazy is it that mad bum looks better than a position player. Weird. YESSSSSSS
Time this fucker did something…
fun while it lasted
Ricky Ledee had a better Giant career than De Aza…
Ricky Ledee looked like Prince, but didn’t swing his bat as well as Prince swung his guitar…
Well, looks like we could clearly have used the Lost in Space Robot there to call those balls and strikes from Chapman. I’m on radio, Miller says the pitchFX says that called strike 3 on de Aza was 3 inches off the plate…
I like how Krukow talked about the outfielders’ arms as De Aza looks at strikes 2 & 3.
My dad would’ve been a great umpire:
http://scoop.diamondgalleries.com/Image/NewsImage/4/77448/188376/1
Ok I’m officially busting a gut Loo!!
Papa Loo Robot, Gold Baby!!
Tough break on that left hand. Or, does it double as a fire extinguisher?…
I can see the resemblance.
Chapman throws so hard, a human or robot ump can’t make a accurate call..
Come on, this guy’s got NOTHING. Lay some wood on this guy…
Told ya’.
Tie game!…
Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!
Walk Posey? I would
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Guess they should have. Why does any team pitch to him?
Walk off double here it comes
I hate it when the Dodgers lose and the Giants don’t gain ground. Or even when the Dodgers are losing, and so are the Giants.
Yikes.
What a comeback, and what a Great hitter is Posey!!
He is just dialed in this month, always focused for the big moment, just money in the bank with his approach..
What a comeback, and what a Great hitter is Posey!!
He is just dialed in this month, always focused for the big moment, just money in the bank with his approach..
Let’s end this madness!!!
Posey should have homered there. Trade his ass… 😉
Great comeback by Giants to go to extras..
Dodgers tied. I hope they lose in the 29th inning. Some comeback for our boys.
well, we’ve reached a consensus on the word “comeback.”
Posey and Duffy stack has really been good to me this evening.
Well, nice while it lasted…
Krukow just said “maybe they [the Dodgers] will play 24 innings…” is he reading this?? WELL, THAT STINKS, MR. FRAZIER.
Guess I’ll go brush my teeth.
Frazier gets off the canvas, to land a TKO to Romo
Nice one…
took me a while….half asleep…
This is wearying, on either coast. Lotsa fans left those bleachers out there.
Is that Ivan DeJesus JUNIOR? or is he 57 years old?
De Aza could still be a hero…
I want Joaquin Arias back.
I think the Giants are running on fumes these days, pitchers and position players alike. I give this squad credit for doing what they’re doing with half the starters on the DL.
I’m running on fumes, too. G’nite Flappers…
G’night. I’m not far behind. Jumbo really is jumbo.
So Kuip mentions with expanded rosters you have so many extra players/ PH etc..
Yet not us, we have pitchers hitting? WTF??
You can tell a lot of people have left. You can hear individual loud, goofy fans. Just like in the minors.
why…..why……why subject myself to this….
Damm DeAza nailed that double.
Up to Pagan now and on cue he pops up to end it..
Nite Flappers, get em tomorrow ..
