Pink Abuse
I agree with Loo, the color pink has gone too far in these mother’s day games. These dudes aren’t barbie dolls dressed up by 3 year old girls. And why is it ok drape pink all over a guy in the batters box, something that HAS to be distracting for the pitcher, but the pitcher can’t even have a necklace dangling out of his shirt?
But whatever, have a great day, go be nice to the moms out there. They put up with a lot of shit.
Craig, to me, if all that pink reminds the bonehead fans sitting there sucking down brew and chips about their moms and brings a few tears to their eyes, that’s a nice mission accomplished.
Go Giants!…. chemistry brewing with torture abound….
Very Zitoesque of Moore to pitch so well on pink shirt day. They can start a pink Saturday promotion for all I care if that means the club wins. With a couple of exceptions, the pitching has come around and a win today pulls the team to .500 at home. Baby steps.
Mac Williamson with a 5 game hit streak is showing steady improvement down on the farm. Sucks for him though because 34 year old Permesiano went yard yesterday and hit 18 bombs one time in 2013.
Send off gorkys to DFA and Sac. He’s fast, but Bochy doesn’t use fast much anyway, so what’s the diff? His D ain’t that great, and he can’t friggin hit. Get another guy up – Mac – who can hit a bomb once in a while. He can play left, and Pecorino can play center. Just get another damn bat. Gorkys clears waivers anyway, DFAing him is like stocking him in the clubhouse supply room…
It’s really a bad look no matter what uni.
Mac with 2-4 drives in 2 and doubles off CF wall in colo springs. Beede gives up 10 hits 4 runs 3 earned in less than 5 innings. It is hitters yard but if Ruggiano can play CF that has to be end of Gorkys days with Mac up.
This from Chron yesterday: The Giants are thinking Mad Bum will begin playing catch in late May and could be pitching for them in early August. This from John Shea not Hank, tho it might be just wishful thinking.
Dirt didn’t see your post, but with Pence again bothered by leg problems hope there is room soon enough for Mac and Ruggiano becomes the backup everywhere for now. Nunez his .245 BA/under .700 OPS goes to bench alongside Specs.
wille, we know how Bochy loves him some vets. With Morse and Rugianno in place Mac is going to have to really force the issue to get called up. They’re probably worried he’ll get injured again.
Parmesan Cheese is my favorite new nickname…..
For all these OFers the Giants have been running in/out, we should just call them DFA candidate # ___….
It’s really pathetic to me that the Giants can never develop a home grown outfielder!
Look at the relics were left with this year.
Our 5 outfielders that put no fear into any opposition..
Gorkys Hernandez age 30
Michael Morse age 35
Hunter Pence age 34
Justin Rugganio age 35
Dernard Span age 33
Only Hunter&Denard have been significant starters all their careers, and their breaking down now as well.Really have hit rock bottom when you can’t find a young outfielders to patrol the vast canyons of ATT.Outfields old, no moves from management to bring up fresh legs like a Austin Slater are Ryder Jones are whoever doesn’t have gray on their face…
Reds are in middle of Central Division dogfight at 19-17 and a game up on Cubs.
Despite scoring only 6 runs in their 35 innings so far at ATT, they are 3rd in OB and OPS, 7th HRs..
Cozart .995 and among league leaders batting .336.
Votto .973
Suarez .911 and excellent 3b
Schleber .885
Duvall .850
Giants: Dead last in league OPS and OB.
Pence .627
Craw .670
Panik .685
Arroyo .666
Nunez .581
Belt .784 after 6th bomb of year batting .220
Belt deserves the shit he gets. He’s only leading the team in OPS. With those stats for the starters, it’s a wonder the Gints aren’t 15 under .500…
I don’t know what Span put into his body while down since beginning of season and rehabbing. Whatever it is, he needs to keep using it…
One more run with my dog today…
1. Denard Span (L) CF
2. Joe Panik (L) 2B
3. Brandon Belt (L) 1B
4. Buster Posey (R) C
5. Brandon Crawford (L) SS
6. Christian Arroyo (R) 3B
7. Eduardo Nunez (R) LF
8. Justin Ruggiano (R) RF
9. Jeff Samardzija (R) P
GO GIANTS!
In 9 years bopping in and out of MLB with a handful of teams, Pecorino has just 1297 official ABs.
Splits: .258/.322/.439/.762 with 52 homers. I don’t see why his baseball card would stop Williamson from getting playing time when he’s healthy. Pecorino is a an 8 years older version of Williamson…
Schulman reports Pence may be placed on DL for bad left hammy (not the surgerized one). Apparently wavering. Williamson or Calixte would come up. I don’t get why the Giants just don’t DL a guy in this situation. It’s 10 days now. Instead, they like to keep the guy twisting, waiting for a minor miracle, meanwhile the team is down a player for a half dozen games…
For me, it’s not so much that they wear pink, it’s that they’ve gone way overboard. Pink bats? Hideous looking caps? Why not just make the logo pink instead.
Whatever happened to Upton?
Torn thumb ligament. Surgery in late April.
Out until at least late June…
wow couple breaks early. span hit ball well but that should have been caught and Duvall’s throw had Craw at the plate. Smardz gotta hold these guys off.
Scoring runs in the first inning? That’s crazy talk!
The Giants have been hitting better of late, even though it may not really seem like it. They’re getting guys in now and coming up with some clutch hits. Perhaps the clouds are finally lifting.
I’m not sure what’s more shocking, Giants with 4 in the 1st or Warriors down 20 at half.
The W’s read their own press clippings. As soon as you hear that they’re heavy favorites, you know they’re in trouble. They’re masters of playing down to their expectations.
With this new 10 day DL, I don’t know why you’d hesitate putting Pence on it. Hammy’s have a nasty habit of hanging around if you don’t tend to them.
Jesus, stay hot Denard Span. The dude has been raking since coming back. Injecting some much-needed life into the OF offense.
Injecting the key word..
nice little payback. stomp the you know
Who the hell are these guys and what have they done with the Giants?!
Charlie Williams wasn’t a knuckleballer. Kruk’s confused…
Wow, great catch.
Nice glove work by Nooner, glad to see that occasionally ..
Whoa, heckuva catch by Nunie.
anything he catches is a heckuva catch.
Reminds me of Lonnie Smith.
Cubs with a losing record; Schwarber hitting .179.
Sweet.
Nunez upping his trade value today…
Warriors take the lead, cranking up the D.
Trade Belt Now!
Leonard went out with an injury; big turning point in the W’s game.
and unlike Harden and Rockets, Warriors big guns lit them up in comeback.
So, what, now everyone will say the W’s won because Leonard got hurt?
Well, it’s sort of true.
BUT, in sports, no one feels sorry for anyone. Curry had to play injured in the playoffs last season.
That’s 3 homers in the last four games for BB9.
I’m thinking the BB9 reference has Sticks smiling big time, me too.
Suddenly we have 2 guys on pace for 20+ homers…
Fuck up outfielding by Ruggiano. The screwee is Okert.
Have the Giants hit a multi-run homer this year?
Rocks beat L.A.
Holland strikes out the side for his 16th save.
Whoop! Ballgame! Home just in time to see the 9th!
3 in a row!
Home cooking and pink bats, hot cha cha cha…
Clint says, “I think we’re on to something here.”
Guess they at least gave the Reds their pink slip this weekend..
Bwahahaha
wow stros explode in first How funny #2, Bregman with a slam.
retire this mofos.
another bomb by Springer to opposite field no less.
“The Yankees have gotten very little production out of 1b” as Carter goes down again.
Would Sabes offer Belt back to his old buddies? What could he get in return?
According to B/R before tonite, Bird the guy on the DL was 6 for 60, batting .100, with 1 bomb 22 Ks and an OPS of .450
Carter, taking his place is 12 for 60, batting .200, with 1 bomb 24 Ks and an OPS of .579.
Wow can’t imagine Yankee fans will stand for much more of that.
Other than Stros they have next best record in entire league at 21-12 coming into tonite.
Maybe they’ll make a play for Hosmer. KC appears to be going nowhere this season, and Hosmer is a free agent at the end of the season.
The pink was actually for cancer awareness and the gear is being auctioned to raise money for research, so theres that. Great series Win guys! Love my Giants wear pink everyday if it helps you win. ♡♡all♡♡
Elvis had a pink Cadillac.

It was also different seeing the Giants wearing actual white in their home unis instead of their traditional cream-colored unis.
I don’t have strong feelings one way or another on all the pink, but if it helps raise some money to fight cancer via the auctions, and i’s only a couple of times a year? Giddy up on that shit.
Bring on the bumbinos. Cain, Blach, and Cueto (vs Opie) going for the home nine. Looks like a lock for a Giant sweep!
