Selling Out
John Shea had a great tweet last night about these dopes in the left field bleachers.

I give the group props for organizing something that big but disappointed that it was allowed to happen. The Giants obviously sold them the section and I would have hoped that at least a few questions got asked before it was purchased. If ISIS buys up an entire section of the stadium do the Giants ticket sellers just merrily hand over the seats? Also, how did they get that flag in?
I’m just glad we don’t have to eat Rooster shit today. I can only imagine how long the concession stand line was for him last night.
Rooster is still there, waiting in the food line, waking up the seagulls with his boisterous cockle-doodle-LOSS.
Gotta love Nunez, the dude is third in RBIs behind BB9 and DH Pence. He is leading the team in SBs, he has 10 the rest of the team 8 (say what?). He does need to pick up the slack on his long ball game but still…
That trade for Mejia is looking better and better every game.
Nice win…great to see Cain come back around. After a hot April he had cooled considerably. Fuck, he’s the staff ace at this point. Dirt called it.
Nunie got it going with the stick and on the basepaths, and Span continues to have a hot hand. Posey is crushing the ball…too bad no one is ever on base for him.
The bullpen? Now that is another story…still problematic as long as Gearrin and Osich are in the mix.
Now…I say, I say…where is that Roo Roo Rooster…I can’t seem to hear him crow.

I’m kinda torn on the Flag last night. On one hand, it’s totally provocative of them to unfurl (a great word) that bullshit in our house. On the other hand, there are 29 year old Dodger fans who have no idea what it’s like to win a world championship. I like that.
Unfurl is a great word. Way to work it into a sentence.
Dodger fans have some stones, or they don’t. Do they think our fans have gotten soft? Can you imagine the mayhem if that had happened at the stick in the 70’s or 80’s? It would have been on for sure!
Yeah, that would’ve been awesome. Alas, the Stick days are gone only to be replaced with today’s cell-phone-toting urbanites. Not much edge to them any more. Back in the day there’d a been a couple of nice brawls.
Enjoyable game last night, with a lot to be happy about. Except for a bit of a 9th inning meltdown, pretty much a perfect game. Osich continues to frustrate. After an utterly dominant 8th inning, he reverts to form in the 9th. He’s got such great stuff, hopefully he figures it out…million dollar arm and a 5 cent head? Hope not.
The offense is starting to hit the ball, finally, hitting with guys in scoring position, hitting some homers, it’s nice to see. I’ve been sticking with Evans’ suggested “just take it one game at a time” and it makes things easier. Forget about the first 36 games and let’s get the next one. I figure a 15-20 game stretch of.700 ball or so and we can start thinking about the team actually being back in this thing.
I know the Giants are all about the almighty dollar these days, but those fucks in left field can kiss my ass. I don’t know how you screen for them, but I wouldn’t have let them in with that giant piece of Dodgers toilet paper.
Rooster? He got his head lopped off last night so he could be someone’s fresh dinner tonight. Running around like a chicken with its head cut off indeed…
Agree on Osich, LJ. I have liked the kid from day one. Yes…amazing stuff, but fucker just cannot get it done. I too hope he figures it out.
9 Cal players. lqtm

Thumping the Blue Meanies on a Monday night, it doesn’t get much better than that.
The cameras did do a nice job of flashing the 3 WS banners up on the other wall tho, just as a reminder.
But I think Shea is right this should not have happened and wouldn’t anywhere else either.
I was at this game. It was great until the ninth. Then Familia crushed our hopes and dreams, and choked the Mets’ 2016 in a style resembling quick, sudden death.
you probably have ticket more cheaper at http://www.casatickets.com/san-francisco-giants-tickets/
Better if they draped the freakin flag in the bathroom so all the Giant fans could piss on it!!
Unfurl. It’s erotic. But I can say that about any word.
Cain has been lucky with hard hit balls right at people and solid defense behind him but after a career of bad luck I’d say he’s due. Nice to see Williamson’s first game bring him even with Parker’s season run total and 1 back in hits and RBI.
Ha…I knew you would get a dig in on Parker… 😉
Yeah, Parker is like my Belt. Also, he sucks.
Well, IMO neither Parker or Mac are starting OF material. Again…with both healthy…I would take Parker over Mac. Just my opinion.
Either Miller or Flem last night mentioned LA is hitting about 50 points worse vs. LHP than RHP. Cain held them to 5 hits in his 6+ and not much damage after Pederson lead off double.
Blach’s 3 starts other than the time Reds lit him up:
19 innings 4 ER 12 hits 3 BBs 5 Ks. so ERA under 2.00 and WHIP under 1.00
The lack of Ks is weird—in his 27+ innings so far this year he has only 7 strikeouts.
Hmmnn
Btw what was up with Turner not playing last night?
The unfurling doesn’t really bother me that much but giving it air time does. I was at 2 games of the series against the dodgers in April and remember thinking that the number of dodger fans was ridiculous. Unless a lot has changed at The Latrine there is no way that happens down south. Mostly because people outside of the money seats are fearing for their life if they wear the oppositions colors.
Traveling between work sites this morning I listened to more KNBR than usual. They’re tripping all over themselves for this 4 game win streak. Sweet jebus.
Personally I could careless about what the fans do, when the final out show the Gmen winning that is all that matters. As time has shown 162 games to play, you cannot judge your team based on how they played in April. This roster is filled with too much talent to believe they were goin wire to wire in last place. The ship is still tilted but it is starting to right itself. Go Giants, win tonight and then who cares how good Kershaw pitches tomorrow!
They should try serial bunts like they did the other night when Cueto started. Kershaw can get ticked off and lose concentration, like Bum does. They should try stuff that will make him throw a few mistake pitches. Just going to bat against him and taking the Ks or weak grounders like good little Giants is not the way to success against Kershaw. Force him and his defense to make plays; they might screw up and give gifts to SF…
Yes, what he said.
I don’t have a problem with the Giants selling a big block of tickets to opposing fans. I think it’s kind of cool for fans to go on organized caravans to opponent ballparks. There are Giants fans that do the same thing.
I don’t like the big banner, though. That shouldn’t be allowed simply because it could instigate conflict in the stands. If the Dodgers are winning the game, and those fans are holding up that banner, it’s going to tempt some angry Giants fans, who probably downed a bunch of beers, to want to go and get the banner, and things would spiral downward from there.
I think the security folks could justify having those fans put away the banner on reasons of safety.
Yep, I’ve been at games when alot of fights have gone on, very uncomfortble.
Totally agree. Given the Brian Snow thing and violence that has panned outside ATT associated w Sodger games, I would think SF management would want to avoid things that would incite violence. This is a private event, the owner can enforce its own attendance conditions. Nobody has a right to bring in whatever they want…
It’s not the banner or who you root for that causes problems.
It’s beer. Lots and lots of beer…
It’s still America and last time I checked you can root for whoever you want and wear whatever you want.
I have no problem with the Dodger thing last night -or the Roooooster…
‘Murica
I’m rooting for MacWill. I said this last year: Bochy called a MacWill AB at Yankee Stadium the best he had seen all year (thus far). I think it was a double. Flappers were there.
Yep…Blade, SanDiggity and I (left coast contingent) were there with Loo and Mac. It was a damned good AB. I am pulling for the guy, too (to both succeed at the plate and in the field, AND to stay healthy).
Without Bum hitting homers off Kershaw, I don’t know if the Giants can beat him. We shall see!!
Small ball, baby. Bunt for hits, hit & run, steals…
The Mac & Cheese outfield, and a surprise at 2B:
Span CF
Arroyo 2B
Belt 1B
Posey C
Crawford SS
Ruggiano LF
Nunez 3B
Williamson RF
Blach LHP
lulz
Maybe I missed it, but I haven’t heard a single broadcaster or writer mention that Buster has changed his batting stance. He used to use a moderate leg kick with his left leg as he took his swing. Lately he has been raising his left leg a little, but then setting it back down on the ground before he takes his swing. Well, that’s what he did last night, anyway. I’m not sure if he’s been doing that lately. I hadn’t noticed.
Check out his HR from last night. That’s a different batting motion from Posey. He was doing it earlier in the game, too. Maybe this explains the power surge. Maybe all this is common knowledge to everyone and I missed it.
http://m.giants.mlb.com/sf/video/v1392896383/ladsf-posey-extends-the-lead-with-solo-home-run
Bellinger ate a little wall on the HR, which is kind of funny.
I don’t remember who, but I did hear he made an adjustment so he could get more power. Whatever, I’m glad he’s hitting the ball on the screws.
His new motion isn’t as artistically fluid as the old motion. It has a little herky-jerk in it now, as he gets that left foot down before swinging. I guess it somehow helps him get more lower body force in the swing. Even though the swing seems more flat-footed. Maybe more hip torque now instead of relying on the leg kick for power. It’ll be interesting to see how long he sticks with it. The early returns are obviously very good.
It may also help with his timing. Helps him stay back on the ball.
It amazes me that these guys have to tell themselves to “stay back.” A couple weeks back I went into the “super fast” batting cages for the first time in twenty years. I had to start my swing before the ball came out of the damn hole. I think I made contact (that’s putting it nicely) on 3 out of 15 pitches.
Arroyo to 2b, leaving Belt in at 1b instead of going with Hundley. Bochy’s managing like it’s important.
Groovy doubleplay.
This is kind of a scrubini lineup from the Dodgers tonight, although their bench guys are pretty good.
Doesn’t get any better then that Christian, swing the bat next time rook..
I really wish Krukow would cut it the fuck out with “I wanna get that! I wanna get that! I wanna get that!”
He’s done it 3 times in 3 innings already tonight. So fuckin’ annoying…
Not being able to see the game at the moment, just what is it he wanna get?
It’s either something someone in the crowd is eating, or some item in the Dugout Store.
If he said it about some chick in the stands it would be amusing…
One time it was about gear in the Giants Dugout Store
I have to admit I kind of tune out Krukow more than I used to.
Arroyo is plummeting towards the Mendoza line…
Why don’t you guys put the Giant game on?
Your dopey Dubs are up by about 50…
Crawford saved a run there.
Bang! Arroyo to Posey. Nice play…sweet tag.
missed this. Maybe my favorite regular post here at the Flap.
Nice working outta the jam. Time to score some fucking runs…
The Giants’ D has been so good lately. A big key to getting some wins.
I know the average is plummeting, but I still think Arroyo looks good enough up here to be in the line up daily.
I actually go to the trouble of listening to the radio feed on the Chromebook with the sound off on the TV to avoid Kruk/Kuip.
Agree on Arroyo. No delay on the radio feed?
Radio is a little bit ahead of TV, which I can handle. Lets me get some stuff done and look up when something happens.
Talk about a boring game. Its down to AmyG interviewing some dumbshit minor league hockey coach, who first words are:yeah I’m here to help the Giants win their 6th straight game..
Speaking of dumbshits..Justin Turner has to be the worse base runner all time!!
Just got nailed at the plate, by Arroyo on a sharp hit ball right at him, then the play at 2nd thatended the game on the last visit when Posey gunned him down as the tying run!!
Belted!
Dubs steamrolling right now. Got to avoid a pussy let down like those fucking pussy pussies from NY
He hit the shit out of that one.
…and it made it out of the park by about 8 inches. Bullshit Ballpark.
Way to stay back on that pitch Brandon!
I tried to catch a Dave Kingman home run at the Coliseum one time with my bare hands. It worked out about as well as it did for that guy.
This is bullshit on how long it is taking…
BELT yaha #8
Read a detailed look at why HRs are up again, with few conclusive answers…
anyway one theory is that more and more players are going into 3 outcome mode: BB K HR.
So far that kind of fits Belt to a tee, as he leads SF in first two by wide margin.
Time for a crooked number!
Buster should know better…
Seeing eye single?
steady diet of breaking balls…that’s all this guy has got. Look for it like Belt did and adjust to anything harder.
Ruggiano looks like crap vs. Hill.
They never showed Buster running to 1st. What did he do stop for hotdog?
Should have been at 2nd and scored on Crawford’s hit..
“Bullshit Ballpark”
The ballpark with 3 championships in its 18 years of existence? 🙂
SanD is not a fan of the yard, Zume. We all have our opinions. I did the phone park myself, but some just do not like the “pitchers park” aspect, I think.
They happened to show an aerial view of the park last night and the lunacy of triples alley was especially striking…
All a matter of perspective, Loo. I like all the idiosyncrasies of the yard. But I’m a crazy mother fucker, so what the hell would one expect?
Warriors just humiliated SA tonight…
I could dig a 1-0 humiliation of the fucking bumbinos tonight!
I hope these wasted opportunities don’t bite ’em in the ass.
The kid is really floundering. You have to wonder how long they go without hurting his confidence.
Ronald McDonald up again. I’ll have a quarter pounder with cheese with that strikeout.
I know, I know, 3 rings in this yard is hard to argue with, but the ridiculous right field and the bush league bullpens still bug me big time.
Nice play by Mac.
Has anyone pointed out that Black looks a little like Will Clark?
Nice job by Blach to work outta the jam after the bomb.
Mac is right. SF had bunch of chances to get more earlier.
Pen game now…hmmnn.
Holy shit. Belt with a worm burner single. What, no HR?
Fuck yeah. Crawdad! He needs to get hot.
That move right there by Roberts shows you how little Dodgers think of Puig. when he first came up and was raking, no way he gets double switched out in a 1 run game in 6th inning.
Puig looks depressed. He still puts some effort into tough plays or throws no one else could make, but there’s no real spirit now. He wants out. Of course, Pablo wanted out, too. Always a risk with a guy like that. But Puig might be worth the risk. He could be Cespedes without the nagging injuries.
Puig is overrated. I’ve said this since he showed up on the scene and stand by it.
Maybe an incurable head case, maybe not
Williamson was overmatched vs. Baez.
I think a lot of guys do. He deals.
kid sure looks good in the field no matter where they put him. Leave him in!
He’s got some swagger on D. I like it.
7 strong for the kid. so total 4 starts not counting the one Reds lit him up, 26 innings 5 earned 1.69 ERA.
Get some insurance for him!
I know it’s 2 outs, but Belt’s smacking the ball tonight, I wasn’t down with that steal try.
Yeah, that didn’t make sense.
It doesn’t take our bullpen long to get into trouble.
Hey, DP!! Cool!
Craw with the leather…
Giants’ D!!
Earlier I said I would be good with a 1-0 humiliation of the bums, but a 2-1 humiliation works! 😜
5 in a row!
Fuck yeah, Mac!
nice inning from Gomer killer curveball on Grandal. Torture W.
“Startin’ to come together, Pepper, startin’ to come together.”
Solid D, damned good pitching, And some timely knocks. That works!
Love hearing Tony filling the airwaves after a game…
Blach looking like a keeper.
Dang Belt, one dinger is not near enough, he should have hit two…
Fucking slacker, Belt. Trade his ass for a bag of balls…
scored both runs (2 hits off LHP including the bomb) tonite, all they needed plus regular top flite D.
Yep. I was being facetious, WillieD…
Bust that fucking broom out for tomorrow. Why not!? Fuck Opie and the horse he rode in on…
