A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Too Many Choices

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on April 22, 2018

I never got around to watching Taxi Driver. Maybe this afternoon. I’m 45 years late on seeing it, I feel good about waiting till my schedule opens up.

I was going through scenarios that would draw a direct line to how the Giants could have won last night’s game but when you strike out 17 times you don’t deserve to win so fuck them.

I’m nearly out of toothpaste. I’m gearing up now, preparing  myself, so that I’ll be able to harness the energy and focus needed to spot and purchase this:

Screenshot 2018-04-22 at 8.50.11 AM

Don’t even get me started on potato chips. I’ve completely given up going down that aisle. And I haven’t had a bowl of cereal since the early 80’s so I won’t be able to participate on that debate but feel free to kick that one around….

I prefer the base model. (Though the chocolate one is an occasional guily pleasure)
Had a bowl of regular Special K with banana chips on them this am. Yummy.
As for potato chips, I don’t like these modern ones that are kettle fried or whatever. Too oily and brown.
Give me regular Ruffles, or better yet old school Laura Scudders with ridges.
I’m also the rare person who likes BBQ chips every now and again.
And don’t get me started on corn chips. I don’t care for corn chips at all.

  62. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John said, on April 22, 2018 at 4:55 pm

Strickland has no business being the closer. He doesn’t have the makeup for it and, more importantly, he doesn’t have a quality secondary pitch he can throw for a strike whenever he wants. He’s so concerned about hanging that slider that he mostly misses with it.

Ruth also got credited with many HR’s that bounced over the fence. When did they change that rule? 1931 I think? He retired in ’35 so it’s anyone’s guess how many he bounced over the fence for “home runs”

i think Craw has 4 kids, right? Can’t underestimate how much his family life distracts him from his work life. I’m not judging him for being a family man at all it just might explain a little bit of the lull his career has hit. It might mean nothing, who knows.
