Giants Winning, Flavor Losing

I was too busy getting my ass handed to me on the golf course by my friend Luke to see any of the game. These 3 great Flap hall of famers didn’t miss it though.

Last night we had the annual long drive contest. We head up to the 14th tee at Big Meadow and each let 6 drives fly. I lost by 13 inches. Thirteen motherfucking inches. Luke’s longest was 310, mine was just short of 309. But it gets worse. He didn’t want the cash prize I owed him. He wanted my shirt that just says “Candlestick” on it. I was wearing that shirt. He took it off my back.

Terribly disappointed right now.

    Taking the shirt off your back is one hell of a humiliation!!! Always next year…309? Damn…I dont think I saw how your last round with San Dawg went??? My motherf’n knee is still hobbling me and my golf game since first week of April:(

    I will give the Giants one thing that is a mark of championship type of teams, they play to their competition and overcome. They did not overwhelm the Pirates in any of three games, but did what it took for each game and the sweep…something tells me we need an upgrade with one or two starters unless Descla rebounds tomorrow (and of course another OF bat)…I believe if my math is right the Gigantes are 18-9 since Matos arrived…

    Actually I just realized that our 3 flap hofers were not watching the giants game they were at the Mets game. Lol

    Good to see Conforto with nice series (5-12 drove in 5 1 K over 3 games), after June when he hit .203 with 1 HR and OPS of .619. But wow 2023 splits:
    BA at home .199, road .289
    OB at home .286, road .384.
    slugging at home .316, road .526.
    HRs at home 4, road 9.
    So hopefully he continues to rake throughout rest of the road trip!

    Yeah thatā€™s just cold taking your Candlestick off your back adds extra humiliation for sure!
    But whatever it just proves that chicks love the long ball in baseball or golf..

    GH..I googled up the Richmond Squirrels stadium looks great šŸ‘ glad u made it there!
    Iā€™ve been to the AAA Reno Aces stadium a few times and itā€™s fantastic, a mini version of Oracle with the brick out front and a train that goes by in LF,itā€™s actually the AZ D-Backs AAA team but fortunately the Sac Rivercats weā€™re playing them and beat them.Trivia note years ago Ex Giant Brett Butler was the manager..

    Slater hammers one out the yard. If Wisely had done anything else besides GIDP Giants would be ahead. Zaidi has to find better player, which should not be difficult.

    Webb is super sharp with great movements on his pitches tonight, think the Giants were right to give him a few extra days ( not pitching the 1st series) after the break, and he pitched the most innings anyway in the NL so usually like tonight his stuff is extra special..
