The Reds have an exciting young offense. Hopefully we close out this suspended game today.

    Flemming mentioned that LeMaster now lives in Kentucky so I checked wiki. He lives in Paintsville. He grew up there, apparently; the Giants drafted him out of HS there. That is deep hillbilly heartland. Least I thought so last time I was there. 10 plus years in mlb and he goes back to Appalachia.

    The homeplate ump is simply terrible.
    I watched a little of Wimbledon. Pro tennis has completely embraced technology to get the calls right. Baseball needs to embrace getting the balls and strikes correct. The technology is there. Hire some pro tennis people to help baseball. I’m totally serious.

    Reds have issued 8 walks (versus 2 by the Gmen). Gamecasting this game, so no idea if it’s the home plate ump’s calls and/or Reds pitching ineptitude.

    Blade, per 8:35–the Reds walked Blake Wisely twice tonight. Coming into this game he had 4 walks all season in 103 plate appearances with OB of .225. In that bandbox park asking for trouble walking the bottom order guys. And giants gave it to them.
