It’s tough to watch the Giants with football starting and the team losing and flailing the way they are. I watched almost all of the Niners pre season game and like 5 minutes of the Giants game. I dunno, I’m just finding it hard to care about a team that has settled into a positively boring rut. I look forward to none of their at bats.
Ronnie Bell? It seemed like he got targeted about 387 times last night. Did the Niners find gold again in Round 7? They shouldn’t be allowed to make 3rd round draft picks. Do any of them ever work out? This kicker looks like a massive mistake.

Someone please explain to me when they had Matos and Luciano up (two of our three best hitting prospects) they were hitting bottom of the lineup, but they bring up a lowly ranked Meckler and he is hitting second???? Does that make none bit of sense Gabe????

Meckler batting second that’s a joke for a guy who’s suppose to make contact and help set the table , he strikes out looking silly up there he’s obviously overmatched up here.Matos is far superior to this chump, I really don’t get their moves at times along with their 40 man roster loaded with stiffs and injured guys and bringing back Lurch to pitch is more white flag resignations of this season..
Kat, I agree with you but making contact and setting the table for #2 hitters went out with Glenn Beckert, Wally Backman, Junior Gilliam and so on till the analytics era…
Brutal L and Fried is really good SP today. Giants had 11 hits and opportunities to score more than they did. Wade Conforto Davis and Sabol 2 hits each.

In a more positive post I was sure glad to see all the haters of Trey Lance proving wrong last night.And I don’t care if he was up against 3-4 stringers, cause he was too on the 49ers side and he overcame lots of dumb holding calls making it 1st 20 a lot and yet after his tipped int he reeled off 8 straight completions and was decisive doing it.Hits a beautiful TD throw to TE Latu to make it 20-18 and probably an easy 2 pt conversion try from the 2.But Nooo Dumbshit Aiyuk runs onto the field in streetclothes to celebrate and cost them 15 yards.So no chance there, they hold Denver and Lance hits Bell twice along with Latu again to setup a very shaky Moody that almost missed it!Lance is #2 QB no doubt, just on his athleticism alone,Darnold is a poor man’s version of Andy Dalton..
Niners played like shit, way to many penalties,Special Teams were atrocious,Damm the punter shanked his 1st 2 punts avg low 30’s? , punt returner fumbled one to set up an easy score,Darnold a pick as well.Nice brawl in the stands too a couple of bloody battlers laying some haymakers ! Yes Preseason in full force, gotta love it.
Nothing against Tyler Rogers or any other set up guys in pen having good seasons, but none of them are in Doval’s class. Brian Kenny talked about managers chasing the save stat back in 2017, and only bringing in best guy in 9th inning ahead by 3 runs or less. Then he goes back to other cases years ago where ace relievers pitched multiple innings and managers used them in critical situations before the 9th, which I would apply to last night after TR gave up base hit with 2 out.
Can’t believe Kap would chase a stat. Opposite? Sure. Maybe the plan was to minimize the stress on Doval to one inning so he can be available to close more of these tough games. But any win now is crucial. Kap should’ve gone all out yesterday.
Ahole Angel screwed Heliot by calling the first pitch, a high inside ball, a strike, setting the template for the AB. Heliot does like to whiff on a high FB over the middle of the plate, though.

I’d enjoy seeing the Braves get bounced from the playoffs by an inferior team again.
