With The Match Up Nearly Set

Looks like it’s almost a can’t miss Rangers vs My Phillies at this point. Though they had the same regular season record Texas swept Philly in a regular season match up and therefore they will have homefield advantage. That is going to be huge. Huge in the sense that the Philly fans don’t get to impact the first two games of the series. I will have to cover on Texas now.

    AZ supposed to start Louisville kid rookie Brandon Pfaadt at home in Game 3, maybe to be followed by parade of relievers. He made 18 starts this year, has ERA of 5.72 and highest HR per 9 on entire pitching staff. League hit .282 off him with .862 OPS against.
    Maybe he gets DBax a Zito-esque 2012 start.
    Hey their “aces” both got hammered for 6 bombs, might as well try something different.

        good luck to him. Based on what he did vs. rest of league, he’ll need it.
        Look, bottom line, AZ is middle of NL team for runs and OPS, 10th HRs, high in SBs and have speed on defense. Cool young team to watch, OK.

        But their starting pitching is not good beyond Gallen and Kelly. They gave up 30 more HRs than they hit as a team despite couple bombers in lineup. Closer is an FA. Til they get that fixed I just don’t think of them as highly as you do. Giants lost season series 7-6 and swept them 3 straight in AZ beginning of August.

        you’re looking at what they did this year. Young guys like this improve, they don’t stay the same. They’re going to be a monster to deal with if they sign FA SP

    Giants could make any pitcher like Pfaadt look good, but he’s a Rook in his 1st playoff game in a must win theirs no chance the way the Phillies are smashing the ball.6 HR’s in 2 games , 3 by Schwaber leading off they are clicking and their SP were lights out as well..
