Forgetting that the Marlins are terrible, that was an incredible win last night. Early on we watched the Marlins get way too much wood on Kyle’s fast yet predictable fastball. The other guy was striking us out like we were a parade of high school dropouts. And yet somehow, on the road, we dinked and dunked and singled and sacrificed our way to a win.
Look, we didn’t look like a very good baseball team. We were all-out to come back and barely beat one of the worst teams in the league.
But a satisfying win nonetheless…..

Nats hit 2 HRs and scored 6 runs off Glasnow in 5 innings last night and held on to beat Dogs in LA 6-4. Cubs scored in 9th and 11th off DBax pen 3-2 road W. Good day NL West.
A win is a win is a win. This team will take all they can.
Not-so-Dirty Harry needs to find another pitch. Guys are just sitting fastball and raking them.
We get the red-hot Jordan Hicks today. The early surprise of the season so far. Be nice to see Soler get rolling.
Harrison doesn’t seem to have command w fastball–too many pitches up and out of the zone that are easy takes for hitter. Hopefully btw him Bailey and pitching coach they can figure out better approach. The Marlin SP looked great w his mix of offspeed that kept Giants hitters off balance.
I think Bailey still has lot to learn about calling game himself. You know Doval has issues with clock anyway so simplify call and get on with it. Calling all the sliders wind up burning him when Doval hung one to Arraez and he whacked line drive single to RF.
The fastball and cutter are elite and Doval throws 99-100 regularly. Really wonder about what they are talking about on the mound, and btw Estrada and Flores there shouldn’t be any problem about message being delivered.
I’m with you on Bailey, Willie. Sure, location matters but there are times where Doval should not be throwing sliders to certain guys and Bailey is calling for those.

Christ. Klay 0-11. Kerr decides to switch up his lineup and it fails miserably. His starters Klay and Jackson Price score 2 points.
Fucking pathetic effort from these guys. Kerr has some explaining to do about starting Klay and TJP.
