I had something come up last night and I left the game 2-1 with Dbacks leading. Never made it back to the game. Fired up the box score today and I literally thought it was a mistake.

Oooo that Snell gave up 5 in 4.2. The pen did the rest. Fitzgerald pitched the 9th.

Snell said his sequencing was off, said something about them jumping on his first pitch, which he knew they would, but his sequencing was off, and so they beat him like a redheaded stepchild.
Pretty sure those were his exact words.

wow on night Soler finally homered again everything else went south. Gallen and Kelly, AZ aces of rotation, up next for couple afternoon games.
I know it’s perverse, but the worse the Giants play, the funnier the Flap gets.

Thanks Double B, I was riffing on some parts of Snell’s interviews where he kept going on about his sequencing. Like this one “They were ambushing,” he said of the Diamondbacks. “Guys that are usually patient were swinging early, which I thought they would. It went how I thought it would go. I’ve just got to execute and have better sequences and I’ll have way better results.” And yeah, Unca’s response was perfect.
snell pulled his era down to a tad below 12. Soler hit a meaningless HR. DBacks got in a good cardio session.

WTF is up with Word Press? Last week was easy peasy, last couple of days, it is a nightmare trying to post.
I stopped listening at 10-1 last night, thought I had been a good soldier fan until pretty much the end of the debacle. Then this morning, I see it was 17-1 ? WTF? That is embarrassing. I’m starting to think maybe it wasn’t all the fault of the players under BoMel in San Diego. Let’s just say the first 20 games this season better be the outlier, and this team will gel all the new parts. But, if the next 20 look like the first 20, changes will be necessary…

I watched until it was 3-1. It was still a game. Snell was not awful. Yet. I had a vestige of hope. I went to bed, looked at the score, 5-1. Oops. Then I woke up to see the final. #embarrassing
I missed the whole thing. My interest level is pretty low right now.
I’m thinking Harrison and his pitches high in the zone are going to take a beating from the Dbacks this afternoon. Hopefully he can keep it close, but these AZ guys can hit mistakes.. Don’t really want to think that way, but after last night’s debacle, it’s hard not to.
Slater now hitting .095 for the season in 21 ABs over 16 games. He and Yaz a combined 7 for 58 for a sweet .120 in RF, with 5 RBI and 17Ks between them. Yaz with 12Ks over 37 ABs = 32% K rate. If you are a serious ball club, you can’t continue to have this disastrous production in a corner OF position, especially when it is platooned, which is supposed to avoid that kind of offensive disaster. They’ve got to right that position’s ship ASAP with a wake up by those two, or get somebody else with an offensive pulse out there…

I like the Mets’ new City Connect jersey. If I was a Mets fan I would wear it. In fact, it might be the only MLB City Connect jersey I’d wear. The Giants one is not terrible, but I wouldn’t wear it.

The Kings shot a lot of bricks last night and lost. The current NBA: live and die with three-point shooting.
As good as they were against the Dubs, they sucked last night. And Zion didn’t even play.
The Kings championship was the play-in win against the Warriors. Like the Warriors, they ended up worse than last year despite having a better record. At least in the Dubs case.

Kruk and kuip just had the same conversation about splash hits that my son and I had after Bailey’s. SF catchers generally. Then Buster robbed, by the brick blow hole at the end of 21, from becoming the only RH splash hitter. My son then said what knk later said: Soler could do it. Yeah, in a 22-1 loss.

I agree with BF above on Harrison. He probably should be in AAA to develop more control and his third pitch, but he’s here to stay apparently. 74 pitches over 4 frames is too many, with only 46 strikes = mediocre 62%. Too many non-competitive pitches that the oppo batters just spit on. Progress though, no dingers given up…
