A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

LA Grinds Out a Win

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on May 14, 2024

The Kids (Rammy and Matty) accounted for half our hits and all of our runs. Maybe that’s something to take away from last night’s loss. We have too many injuries right now but when guys get healthy I hope we somehow keep these youngsters in the line up every day.

Matos may have played himself out of CF. Big news: Giants are trying to sign a Mexican League slugger. Really.

Jerar Encarnacion, 26, currently with the Guerreros de Oaxaca. Helluva place, Oaxaca.

“I think the Giants have learned what they needed to learn about playing Luis Matos in CF” from Baggs on cbssports site.

I don’t remember him being this bad on D last year ….

Yes he was, at least in CF, mostly on route angle (like tonight), and late coming in on balls in front of him. sigh

Time for upending the Spread table? Or, why waste the food? …

That would take too much energy. They are too busy sleeping under it.

I should have stopped watching after Champman made the double play.

    I’m with blade.

I was optimistic at his signing, and I gave Farhan all the rope to make this right, but into his year 6, this looks disastrous. Where is ANY really good position player in the minors that can step right in and make us smile? Is Bailey IT ? And, his future looks dubious right now as a Catcher. Just looks bleak right now…

If Johnson Jr. is satisfied with this crap, why should fans care? Agree Snarkk, the only thing that is going to rattle these idiots cage, are empty seats at the ball park . . . maybe.

We are the A’s. The Pirates. Greggie doesn’t give a shit. “Sorta break even.”

At the time I didn’t think he really meant he was just gonna trot out a team that looks like it is trying but is really just shooting blanks. But look at where we are.

Farhan gets a “redo” after 5 years of mediocrity? That TOTALLY smacks of an ownership group that is just gonna go through the motions and placate the casual fans.

what a terrible game. Quick, though.

Too bad they look so awful tonight. Last night was exciting game that went to ghost runner 10th inning before it was decided. Giants fought hard and Doval was electric…just hope he gets some more chances to actually save a W.

They’ve looked awful about 1/3 of the games. Errors and lack of hitting. Again and again.

It’s gonna be tough sledding tomorrow. I hope the Dogs got all their hitting out of them but I ain’t gonna hold my breath. SF 9 hits, 2 runs. Dogs 13 hits, 10 runs.

We just are fucking team-wide shitty at hitting.

    Team RISP

    7-20 (!!!!!!)
    2-14

    Guess who is who?

    From Mike Rodriguez:

Breaking News: According to my sources in #Mexico, the San Francisco #Giants close to reached an agreement with #JerarEncanacion. Encarnacion has 18 HRs, a .381 batting average and an OPS of 1.495. In Mexico. He will start in AAA to see how he does and if he continues at that pace he will be promoted to the MLB. #mlb #Baseball

    “In Mexico”

He hit .182 for the Marlins in 2022. The Pads go and get Luis Arraez. We get Chico Escuela.

    This is ridiculous.

The farm system is THAT BAD, that we’re reaching into the Mexican League?

If he actually gets to the 26, the fans should boycott…
