The Kids (Rammy and Matty) accounted for half our hits and all of our runs. Maybe that’s something to take away from last night’s loss. We have too many injuries right now but when guys get healthy I hope we somehow keep these youngsters in the line up every day.

Yeah Kat, agree. The thing about, He Who Gives me the Fitz, is that his speed is what really put him on the roster and yet on the bases he looks like he went to the Dubón school of baserunning. A fast out isn’t really needed. His fielding I kind of get, because Farhan has him learning/playing something like 5 positions while at the ML level. I’m surprised they haven’t handed the kid a catchers mitt and sent him out there, they did trot him out to pitch.

2022 30 games at 2b 87 at SS for Richmond 10 errors at SS 3 errors at 2b
2023 12 2b 7 3b 23 CF 62 SS 6 errors at SS for Sac
2023 16 games at SS for Richmond 3 errors
So he has moved around, maybe to cover different roster needs wherever he was playing. Luciano hasn’t been healthy so that might have something to do with all the games at SS. He just seems to screw up everywhere.

I do not want to see fitzfuckup or called-up-unwisely in the LU. But Matos is a tough CF. Ramos has the speed and balance of a running back. And a well calibrated cannon. But his stride is a bit short. I guess Matos’s height technically gives him more range. But Luis was anything but smooth chasing after that deep fly ball last night.
Compared to Fitz , he’s Willie Mays. Losing Lee is really really really gonna hurt defensively. Is Serra boy Hunter Bishop just eternally injured? WTF?
I never hear about him. Another CF Vaun Brown tore it up in the minors and had a great ST in 23 until he hurt himself. This year he’s hurt again. A tenth rounder, at least he wasn’t a wasted pick.

Luciano btw went 1-7 for RCs 2 BBs/3 Ks, .743 OPS slightly below league average 98 wRC+. Batting .266 w 1 HR per MCC.
