Sorry guys, the life of a traveling Big Flavor can get a little distracting sometimes. So much so I was shocked to see Fitz hit his 5th (FIFTH?) bomb in a row? First time since Bonds? This seems unsustainable but am happy that we have young guys stepping up this year and contributing.

Got to say, the Brits saved American blues in the early 60s. The Bluesbreakers, the Yardbirds, Chicken Shack, and of especially the Stones all immersed themselves in it. Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Albert Lee and a bunch of others zll oopened for them.
Saw Buddy Guy at a small Blues club in Houston back in the mid ’90s. Bought myself tickets as a birthday gift to myself.
His band was tight as hell, amazing.
Last 20 minutes of the night he just walked through the club from table to table just getting down on that guitar, singing and smiling at the patrons. Nonstop. He walked by Mrs. snarkk and I at our little table and paused about 20-30 seconds just smiling and jamming. We gave the smiles back. It was my favorite birthday, ever. Unforgettable. Mind blowing talent…
Buddy of mine got married in northern indiana in ’93 (i think) and we spent 3 days in Chicago before the wedding. Went to Buddy Guy’s blues bar and had a blast. Can’t remember who played that night, but Buddy came out about 12:30 and just blew the roof off. Played till like 3 am.

Sugarcane Harris and Harvey Mandel get mention in Mayall obit, after he’d moved to LA. Had a couple of Harris LPs, good stuff. Unaware of him til heard him with Zappa on “Weasels” 1970 LP buddy of mine had. Saw him play with Mandel too few years later, great show.

Guillen got into 42 games with Giants but given troubles with DEA never played again after Oct 3 game with Giants, last regular season game w Johnny Sanchez highlights. Ross played all the way til May 2015.

What a day. Started at 5:22am, my daughter and I drove from my mountain home to Sunnyvale, normally a 2.5 hour trip. It took 4.5 hours due to not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 traffic delays (zero accidents). The last one from Milpitas (H237) to Mathilda literally took 45 minutes, normally a 10-15 minute drive. Walnut Creek was maddening too. All to get a home inheritance notarized at an attorney’s office. Place was located on Steven’s Creek boulevard and all of the traffic lights were out. Unbelievable.
Back in March, I picked the Giants to win 84 games. They’d have to go 36-24 to get there and they haven’t even been able to put together a 5 game win streak this year that I can recall.
Is it too late to change my call to 77 wins?
