Melvin trying to bunt in Game 2 with Fitz and yesterday with McCray in bases loaded situation is interesting attempt to counter all the problems with RISP hitting. Surprised that more guys don’t try and bunt nowadays given how tough ML pitching has become. Wisely got nice one past pitcher for a hit and we’re talking about a guy who has cooled off quite a bit at plate.
Schmitt had 3 hits and HR…before that he was 0-20, batting under Mendoza line with OB also under Mendoza line. I think jury still out on whether Z survives or not, and lot of it has to do with perception of development by guys like these 2, plus other young guys like Matos Meckler Luciano McCray.
Ramos and Fitz are keepers. How much help can kids bring to rest of 2025 lineup, or does FO have to go out and keep adding via trade or FA signing to cover 2b, RH power, 1b and/or OF. etc.
If it helps him get on base…14/2 SBs vs. CS, team leader. Fitz is hitting .317 w OPS of about 1.000 that’s gonna tough to duplicate rest of year. balls in play is .386, about 100 points over league average.

Forget about 2025, it doesn’t exist, nor does it matter in the present. The only thing the Giants should do now in regards to 2025 is extend Chapman’s contract, because that would help them now.
If by jury, you mean flappers and KNBR hosts/callers, Farhan was convicted in July, 2022, despite a rock solid off-season coming off a historic 107 win season. Thankfully, you’re/we’re not his peers. Neither is ownership.
Baseball has radically changed since 2022, and the old concept of buying or selling for a 500 team is different. NEVER concede the season until you’ve been eliminated. ALWAYS utilize your entire 40 man roster. DO unload 30 million dollars worth of salaries on the Braves, even if you are battling against them for the last WC slot. DO send down a prized prospect if he can’t field a position or run out a ground ball. DO call up an interesting Mexican League slugger and a solid CF like McCray.
If not for a couple of 10th inning tactical errors by Melvin, ones which I’ve been harping about since the day they hired him (don’t start with your closer in the 9th in tie games), the Giants would be half a game up in the WC race.
Lot of dribblers seem to run foul down 3b line at the O. Maybe groundskeepers can help out a bit. Giants famously got lot of heat from Dodgers during Wills era for watering field and 1b basepath excessively.

May 21, 2006? I can’t remember what I did last Friday.
That being said, do you know what the positive aspect of alzheimers is? Every minute I meet new friends.
Exhibition football is a slog, but Niners do have stuff to sort out. Backup QB, other skill positions, O-line and D-line, backup LBs and DBs. Worth checking out Sunday afternoon.
Interview with Harbs in TA by Kawakami, totally focused in on Chargers as opposed to other distractions.
Hated how they played vs Tenn. All I saw was the same problems from last year. Trouble stopping 3rd downs. Gashing runs up the middle. Couldn’t stop screen plays. TEs open at will. The LBs playing deep and soft. KO coverage was terrible. Little pressure up the middle. Pre-snap penalties. And the obligatory defensive holding call on 3rd and 7 in the end zone.
The D did make a couple nice 4th down stops, and they did fumble due to a botched pitch that we recovered, but nothing to be jazzed about other than Allen looking good (except for the 2 big drops on long passes) and Jordan Mason looking great.
Yeah, it’s he backups and we don’t want to tip our hand, but our defensive schemes were awful. And special teams were their usual inconsistent self.

Got kicked off of X for like the 10th time today in the last 2 years. Purportedly for advocating violence, where I told this stupid fuck, Buck Sexton (over a million followers) to . . . “. . . go stick a fork in an outlet and call it a day.”
Dollars to donuts, I will be reinstated. Why? That is an expression (not going to hunt this asshole down and actually force him to stick a fork in an outlet . . . I think). LMAO.

Quicker reinstatement than usual . . .

Flavor, wasn’t a 6-0 final score in some random game one of your legendary predictions?
it was. SF 6 Oakland 0. Epic exact call. Sent twinner into a blind rage when I bragged about it non stop
may 21, 2006. Could it be that long ago?
18 years ago??????? Good God. I think we’ll be doing this beyond the grave.

I think it’s a bit ludicrous with Fitzgerald.

lol. I just looked up the score. I would have guessed more like 2010.

Kawakami was the biggest passive/aggressive weasel with Harbaugh. Those 2 were too funny.

Go LA.
Bravea DBax and Padres all lost today. Mets and Dodgers won.
StL lost. That’s the good thing.
