Nice Ray start. I don’t care if it’s the White Sox. I’m a big Ray supporter mostly because I am cutting him a ton of slack for the rust he was bound to have after being off for so long. And hopefully he doesn’t opt out because I think he’s going to have a big year next year.
Here’s a wild stat for you: The NL West is a combined 40 games over .500 since the all star break 94-54 (.635). No other division even has a winning record over that span.

Yes, school started for Michele August 8th. Yes, I seem to recall or I’m almost positive that school never started until after Labor Day back when I went to school. Dunno, why they do it so early now.
Anyway, full throttle into helping her with her homework (ugh . . . I hated homework when I went to school and fate has seen fit for me to do it again via my daughter), filling out school forms, volunteering, etc.

Having Chapman Estrada and calmed down Fitz on IF plus McCray and Yaz sure helps pitching. Even Conforto made diving grab night before. Being strong up middle was always thing, right?

Yeah Kat I remember ours are really close. And yes Giants can do better than Reetz lol. Maybe this is just “phantom” thing for Bailey so he can rest up, but still Giants aren’t in position to give games away and as others have noted schedule gets lot tougher right away through September.

For a time Loo, I could not even remember my birthday. Coupled with that, what is there really to celebrate about getting older? I think family and friends gave me a birthday party when I turned 50. Ugh.
My mom would send me these birthday cards and that was frequently the only reason I would remember my birthday. Seriously. Usually, mom would send me one of those “joke” cards to remind me how old I was getting.
Who wants that shit? But you know what Loo? I would give anything in the world to have my mom back today, including the stupid birthday cards she would send. Miss her a lot.

Why is it that Sean Manaea is having best season since 2018 with A’s and his ERA has dropped full run off last year with Giants? He was in 37 games for Kapler and pitching coach Andrew Bailey but only started 10 of them. Finished year strong, signed by Mets for $14 million 1 yr deal and has started 24 games for them.
Went 7 today vs. O’s gave up 3 hits 3 runs walked 0 struck out 9.
I really liked Manaea. Kap using him in openers killed him. Once he started starting again, he was fine. Still hate openers. Fortunately, haven’t seen it much this season.
