And if we win them both we accomplish the unthinkable. .500!!!!! Oh how excited the fan base will be. Farhan, showered with an extension leading us, in perpetuity.

my eye is on runs scored and against. If those match after tomorrow, along with .500, we’ll have witnessed a total eclipse. Hey hey.

    Phuck this guy.

Is he giving back to the organization today’s start worth of his $30 million salary?

I don’t want any part of a dude who does this to his team. What are the rest of his teammate’s playing and pitching today and tomorrow — chopped liver?

Not sure what you are expecting from Snell, but I don’t blame him one bit. If the Giants really wanted him, they would have signed him to a big deal in May.

They did their usual opt-out so he’s gonna opt out.

fuckin bad news on Snell. Terrible intro to the contract negotiations. Boras must’ve convinced Snell that he can’t lose if Boras wages a revenge war against the Giants for the Chapman shame. Either they hugely over pay or you take your pick in the open market.

Whatever. There are zero GMs that are gonna question Snell missing this last start.

If the Giants are gonna be pussies, then they don’t deserve to sign good players.

I tell ya, Encarnacion should be the hitting coach.

Giants should go all in on SP Corbin Burnes this winter along with Webb you have 2 Solid number 1 pitchers that will both give you 200 innings to take some relief off of the BP! Also local kid from St Mary’s ( Chuck didn’t you have kid/ kids go to StMarys?) Posey can help possibly getting him signed.Still only 29 making 15M this year as a F/A throw some coin like 3/65? are even 4/95 no opt outs

Also 29 I want Willy Adames to play SS he’s bombed 150 HR’s most in just the last 4 years!Ive seen enough of Fitz at SS (13 errors some really stupid including exchanges from glove) he can move over to 2nd and pray 🙏 his defense improves there..

Sounds good. I’d take Kim as well regardless of his not-so -big bat.

Throw in Alonso and they might be worth watching after Memorial Day…

Yeah, my daughter went to St Mary’s the same 4 years as Dellavedova. Saw him play a bunch of times. Him and Olynyk of Gonzaga.

Snell and Borass played Farhan like a fool. Both on the front end and back end of a lost season.

Nobody was signing him, so Farhan dove in about as late as you can get before the season starts. Surprise – Snell wasn’t near in shape and ready to pitch, then he gets hurt, and earns $15 million for doing NOTHING the first half of the season. He finally gets in shape, throws some gems, then when the Giants have their last homestand of the lost season, he decides he’s done enough to get a fat FA long term contract from somebody else this offseason, so refuses to pitch in a “meaningless” game in front of 30K+ fans who paid to see him. Refuses. Gotta protect that elbow. Selfish dick, and I mean both Snell and his agent.

Melvin was not pleased, obviously, in the pregame radio show BS. Tomorrow, Why don’t the other pitchers just “strike” and breach their player contracts, too? What, they’re not worthy? I’d like to know if Mays and McCovey took the last weekend off in a lost season — or did Marichal stop pitching a week or two before the end of a lost season — which was most of the 60’s?

Dick Littlefield for Jackie Robinson and Charlie Williams( 2 pitchers that sucked, actually Littlefield sucked more)for Willie Mays, baseball hit an alltime low with those 2 legends were allowed to move on! Good for Robinson to just retire,Mays who was already washed up should of too, he never thought unfortunately he was done and was a decrepit old man playing CF at the end when he’s was the best alltime player ever imo, tarnished some of his reputation by not retiring earlier..

“I want to be somewhere that wants me and loves me and will invest in me … I hope it’s here. We’ll see.” Not only is Snell a bit of a narcissist, he’s also a liar. He never “hoped it’s here”. Dude wants to play in NY, he would never be happy in SF. A great talent, hope he gets what he wants, but I seriously doubt the Giants are on his list. Move on.

“Just seven qualified batters were on track to hit .300 or better entering the final weekend, one more than the record low in 1968 per Elias Sports Bureau.”

“Luis Arraez .312 average would be the lowest for an NL batting champion.”

From Ron Blum AP in Chron today.
