Sadly, I will be missing the first half of the game because of work. And, get this, I got the WRONG cable package from Xfinity so even though I live 25 miles south of the ballpark I can’t get the games on tv. There’s a decent chance I just turn Xfinity into internet since I already have all the streaming services and maybe just get the MLB package? I really don’t watch TV except sports. Maybe you guys can weigh in on what to do here since this is the first time I’ve had to get new internet/tv hook ups in 2 decades…..
Will catch the last half of the game on the radio or maybe a bar.

I quit TV years ago . . . Xfinity internet suffices and play “bandit” on the web watching Giants, movies, other sports.
Xfinity gave me an upgrade with a price break in return for a one year contact. Then mlb tv announced it’s eliminating local blackouts in SF. Everyone’s trying to control the stampede toward full stream ahead.
I like this team. Rain ahead in Cincy over the weekend. Maybe they’ll move the Sat game to Fri? My son has opening day shade side club level seats for the home opener. Perfect.

Had couple recent problems with XFinity but managed to get them fixed via visit to local office. Also bought new TV last year and tech guy was lot of help getting it set up and replaced old cables. Found them to be very helpful overall.
Surprised a bit Giants sent two LHs McCray and Wisely back to Sac and kept RHs Schmitt and Koss as backup IFs. Sounds like new POBO already listening to Flap.
Willie, I like the “feel good” story of Koss. He had long odds of making the roster, but good spring training play, along with Schmitt being injured – was the difference. My bigger wish though is that he “pushes” Fitz to play lights out 2nd base (which I think he will do, as 2nd base is more his natural position versus SS).

I’m leaning optimistic. No more turnstile roster moves and dudes who play a couple games, never to be seen or heard from again. Team vibe looks vastly improved, with roster confusion minimized.
Pitching looks like Top 10. Defense improved, maybe middle of the pack overall. First base challenged offensively and likely to be hurt a lot with Wade and Wilmer over there. Still lack of speed is a problem, so they need to hit more HRs than last year.
85+ looks doable, and in the mix for a Wild Card.

Except for the last few years, I was always pumped up for the season opener. This year I’m feeling it again. Haven’t seen the team play in SF since opening day 2011 when they raised the first SF World Champ flag. I’m thinking I might have to get my ass out to the yard again sometime this year.

great way to start the year. We were bummed out after planning on trying to see Bryce Eldridge at AA with the Flying Squirrels playing next weekend in Harrisburg to see him get sent to AAA…hopefully good sign of hat he is a big leaguer by the summer.
