This season is starting off just as I’d hoped and it’s really been fun to watch the guys come together and play like this. I got an irate text from San Dawg as soon as Bailey’s smashed ball bounced off the bricks. He’s long been a proponent of bringing the fences in.
I’m gonna be in the City today helping my nephew move into his new place and if it takes longer than I think it’s gonna take I might stroll into Oracle like a goddamn boss and catch the game…..

Can’t blame SD, Bailey crushed that one. Yaz had 9 triples last year. Wouldn’t happen anywhere else.
Ugly win but counts the same as the rest. Concerned about Verlander who allowed half the 14 guys he faced to get on, including HR he gave up to Rodriguez. Sure the long 13 pitch AB vs. Cal Raleigh burnt him out but he just couldn’t put the guy away no matter what he threw.
Wasn’t watching during Doval meltdown but saw he allowed 3 steals in his one inning, shades of past inattention to baserunners.

Doval’s time to the plate started out quick yesterday then slowed as he battled. He’s not so much a head case as a sadly slow student. He’s improved but he has a long way to go.

What a great win. Was listening on sirrius. Watching fitz score was terrific. I LOVE the Giants running more. 2 runs were scored on a single after a stolen base!
Sac report: Carson Seymour 5 shutout innings 4/3, Harrison 4 more 4/4. Harrison walked 3 K’d 6 threw 69 pitches only gave up 2 hits.
McCray is hitting .259 with OPS of .614, Luciano .167/.592. Wisely homered and has OPS of .880.
A big difference so far the Giants is that they have stolen 10 bases( 10for10 actually including 4 yesterday)it took last year 13 games to get their 1st!!!
This year’s team compared to last year station to station team is no doubt more agressiva and certainly more exciting to watch.Fitzgerald,Lee,Chapman,Ramos,Matos can All swipe a bag and their letting them run so far..
Donny Barrels gets start at 1b for M’s tonight at age 37.
Put up nice numbers for Pads last year, .286/.343/.417 for .760 OPS.

I’m liking this team a lot. They are taking the extra base, stealing a bag, playing small ball, playing long ball, pitching well, not making errors. They are playing baseball not Strat-O-Matic and looking like they’re having fun doing it.
Yeah Loco, getting rid of Farhan and Posey changing the whole clubhouse vibe and instilling what past Giants players were all about pride,attitude comes first! Chapman,Adames,Flores,Ray,Verlander plenty of Clubhouse leadership..
Last years team sucked all year, this year’s team so much better it’s night and day..

Missed the game but loved seeing the highlights. It does look like we are having some fun out there. Love it when we hit doubles, and Ray looks solid so far. Fun city.
Giants are firing on all cylinders. My concern about the hitting has been addressed so far (particularly after the last few games). They are in the MLB top 12 for a number of batting stats. Gmen are in 4th place for steals . . . Simply outstanding, particularly when you compare them to last season’s “lead footed” squad.
Couple all of this with an MLB #4 for ERA and SVs, there’s not a whole lot not to like. Keep truckin’ Giants!
