Esp with no day off.
Yep, thought I detected some road rot in that Giants performance, or maybe it was just the obligatory “caining” of Webby I was witnessing. Or, a bit of both.
Looks like the Giants will have to make their 1st roster move of the year( which of course we all know was a revolving yo-yo under Farhan)as Schmitt strained his oblique during batting practice Friday ( why he was scratched probably heading to IR?)Wisely could be an option but not hitting in Sac.. .206 ,Believe it are not Villar is raking at .368 but not on the 40 man active roster.For now it’s still Wade,Flores maybe back off DH duties..
Yeah, the River Cats are going through a little slump right now. And are striking out at a pretty high rate.
Wade Adames and Bailey have been weak. No one off the bench has been good. Ramos doesn’t work enough walks for a lead off hitter. The SPs other than Webb need to go deeper and better (otherwise we’ll see the dazzling pen begin to wilt). Will a short homestand and an off day change any of that? I hope so. But….
To be fair, Angles played Thursday at Texas at end of 9 game road trip. they got swept in 3 games series there getting outscored 12-4 and had lost 4 in a row coming in, going 3-6 on roadie. Up to last night they had only played 1 series at home, where they are now 3-1.
They are being managed by Ron Washington, and the GM Perry Minasian is brother of Giants new GM Zack Minasian…so Giants getting upper hand on them this weekend would give him and Posey some bragging rights.
Jo Adell went 3-3 with double and looks like good defensive CF. Hasn’t hit much for them, career BA of .212 in 1000 ABs. Hit 20 HRs for them last year, but OB was .280. Stole 15 bags, caught 10 times ouch.
Was at the game. Not super fun! Going again tonight and tomorrow! lets get 2/3
I’d stop stressing on Adames batting average. He hit .217 2 years ago, lol. Let’s see the weather warm up and the power will come. He won’t hit .250 this year tho let’s just accept that

Villar does get the call up from Sac as Schmitt goes on IR and Ecaracion (sp) moved to 60 day DL to make Villar eligible who was not a 40 man eligible player for a callup..
If it’s players you want to worry about it’s not Adames , It’s Wade &Bailey for me ..

Roupp real solid 7 innings outing 5 hits 2 trout fish sandwiches, but 1 walk and 9 K’d on 96 pitches and gets a win unlike Webb the curse for Run support every start..

Great night for NL West. Dogs lose 4-3 walk off to Bochys vs. Texas, Stros come back from 2-0 to edge Padres 3-2 and Cubs lit up Zac Gallen and DBax for 2 bombs and 6 runs in 2 innings for 6-2 W.
