I was talking to my mom with the game on mute, I figured this one was in the bag and it was a good time for a Happy Easter call with one eye still on the game. After O’Hoppe got a hit I was like “mom I gotta call you back…”
And then when he hit Neto on a 1-2 pitch I just shook my head, you could feel the game was over at that point.
Just an awful, terrible loss. No other way to dress that one up.
And yes, I called my mom back……
A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
Brewers played at home yesterday before beginning 10 game road trip that starts here and smoked A’s 14-1. They stole 9 bases total and 6 in first inning, something hadn’t happened since 1961. There were 2 double steals in the first with A’s C Langeliers making 2 separate throwing errors to 3b.
Giants still have 7 more before next day off.
Brewers have scored 5 runs a game like Giants, top 5 NL. Hitting .240 as team (lot better than SF .224) but slugging and OPS in bottom 5 NL and 3 fewer HRs than Giants. Giants are 3rd NL in doubles with 44, Brewers near bottom with 26.
Hey folks! It’s great to see the Flap rockin’ and rollin’ in a new season of Giants baseball. I’ve been having some issues with my iPhone; it’s one of the older ones, and it has issues with some websites these days, including the Flap, unfortunately.
About yesterday’s game: that ball four to the first Angels batter in the 9th was a situation tailor-made for the replay-challenge system that AAA is using. A quick challenge would have turned that pitch into strike three, and maybe the inning would have played out differently.
The Giants are off to good start, with mostly guys brought in by Zaidi, so maybe he wasn’t totally terrible after all. But it is kind of weird how the same guys can suddenly start performing better. It could be that being told to stop worrying about swinging for the fences so often has really helped the morale of the team. Their style of play matches better with their talents.
I gotta say the Sac River Cats ballpark looks good on TV for the A’s games. The bridge and that pyramid building look cool in the background. The little ballpark is packed and excited. A nice atmosphere for the A’s players. It’s only for a few years, but it’s a lot of fun for the city.
I’m excited about the new WNBA season coming up. The Fever have improved the roster, and given Clark a more talented cast to work with. It should be interesting.
This Giants series with the Brewers should be interesting. One of the great things about baseball is the everyday-ness of it. Forget about yesterday’s game, and move onto today’s game.

Walker struck out Trout to start the ninth and Laz Diaz walked him instead. Great pitching not only nullified but flipped into a stress situation, with no outs. Laz will retire before he’ll face the humiliations of ABS. He’s an asshole.
Same can be said for incompetent asswipe HP Umpire Phil Cuzzi who was in the face of Hicks between innings for chirping at Phillies players in the dugout and for Lee tapping on his helmet at a suspect pitch at best for showing him up! Which Lee denied thru his interpreter saying I tap my helmet frequently it’s just a reactionary mechanism..
Kind of interesting that Scuzzi didn’t bitch about Bohm doing the same thing as Lee?We say it for years but their are TOO MANY terrible umpires still out there protected by their Umpire Union
