A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Another Walk Off

if you guys missed the Jon Miller call on that little league home run check it out here.

Man, lemme tell you, I’m not taking times like these for granted. The Giants winning all these heart attack games, the Dubs somehow reaching down and finding secret old magic for one last run. The Oaks this Friday. The Derby on Saturday. It’s just so fucking great right now…..

lol, enjoy the Korean call of this…

Great usage of Birds, 3 innings 50 pitches as bridge to 9th after 5 from Hicks. By the end Birds was throwing mostly off speed stuff. change up looks great. 0 BBs/5 Ks.

Hicks had some bad luck in first, but on cbs site they said Rangers got 6 hits off him with 2 strikes. He just couldn’t put them away, leaving pitches up in zone Rangers took advantage of and gave up 7 hits in 5 innings. For some reason he’s stopped using the split and it took 84 pitches for him to get through 5. Something is still off.

I believe Hicks is right near the top in 1st inning hits allowed and 4 more yesterday isn’t helping his cause.

eye test of starters shows high pitch counts in early innings. Also, the ol’ RISP issue and hitters not getting much going early in games. I suppose the counter balance to all that is the Giants 8 come from behind Ws & 5 walk-offs.

True that BB, also having a run diff of +28 doesn’t hurt.

per Anthony Slater in TA, Butler has OK from Celebrini to play tonight. Use your experience and smarts to get good shots and keep them off glass when they miss. Gotta drop hammer on Rockets tonight, like TWolves did to Lakers.

Yep. I’d be judicious with Butler tonight. just hope Houston continues with their horrendous shooting.

Yeah, Ramos is a little late picking up Matty but all’s well that ends well. A good throw doesn’t get him anyway. He prolly would have been safe at 1st as well.
