Can’t rely on your pitching staff to shut teams out to win games. On the cusp of June 1, who are the obvious culprits? Wade is #1. Bailey and Adames are right behind him. This Adames thing is irritating. He’s never going to hit for average but 5 bombs? In 220 at bats? What the fuck man?

Anyway, that’s 3 of your 9 hitters and it’s not like the other 6 are threatening to win a triple crown. They just look like they are compared to Wade, Bailey and Adames…..

….but will that even matter? Feels like the last 15 years or so our record vs Miami is probably pretty bad. Anyone know how to look that up? If they somehow start hitting, who knows, we might not lose too many…..

Truthfully though, the offense wasn’t the problem yesterday. Maybe I’m just tricked into believing that these days 3 runs in a game is an offensive explosion. Gotta give the Tigers credit, they didn’t do anything fancy they just keep grinding and holding you down till the W is secure.

This roadie is still fixable but we’ve got 3 guys in the starting line up everyday who are hitting under .200 and I doubt that’s ever happened in Giants history on this regular of a basis. You don’t like that stat? How bout six hitters with a minus WAR right now. SIX. LOL, what are we even doing here?

Bringing JerarE back aboard is fine but it’s silly to think he’s going to be some type of offensive savior. We could bring Skip Pitlock back for a few pinch hits and hope for a second career bomb too, but is that a reasonable move? I honestly think I’d rather see Pitlock take some at bats away from Wade at this point. Speaking of The Skipper I reached out to him to ask him about that solo dinger but didn’t hear back.

The best thing about JerarE coming back COULD be the the df’A of Late Night Lamonte which is so past overdue, there are no words to describe…..

That was a boring, ugly game that I missed most of. I wonder if The Skipper retrieved that home run bomb he blasted on August 8th, 1970. What a game that was, scoring 5 in the 9th to beat the Astros. Certainly more exciting that what happened May 26th, 2025.

We are very good against right handed pitching. That bodes well for us vs Detroit who I don’t think is as good as their record. Missing Skoobie helps our cause. That man is a legit beast.

I’m tired of talking about Ken Mackenzie.

At least we aren’t getting unbearable heat in Washington. I remember many trips there where the heat just absolutely wilted our asses. Either way, our bats are quite wilted lately.

Ken Mackenzie went to Yale and after his baseball career he returned to work there as coach of the baseball and hockey team.

Super impressed with that win. Easily (Whoop Whoop) Roupp’s best start. If he’s figuring this out, oh baby, we are looking good in the starting pitching department.

Ugh, I loath these east coast trips. Despite Washington’s record they scare me. Young, explosive team. This trip could go sideways in a hurry.

Nice to see Bird Dog back where he belongs: on top of the bump to start a game. We all loved him in the bullpen but it became clear that Hicks cannot do the job as a starter. Agree with whoever said Buster needs to go get some offense. He can’t sit on his hands at the deadline. In fact he should make moves much sooner but I fear the only move he’ll make is to watch Encarnacion come back from his rehab assignment.

After a three game stretch of scoring 10/7/8 runs we dipped back to our predictable 1/3/1 in the last 3. Ugly offense. Though there’s never any shame in getting shut down by a good Stanford lad, this time it was Bubic.

Miller throwing 104 and Wilmet just absolutely spitting on that shit. That dude has somehow given up 9 hits in 16 innings. Who is hitting that?

Let’s finish off the city-less A’s with me and my dad getting to watch the game together. Just like old times.

The A’s got absolutely smoked by the Dodgers last night. Maybe they come in whimpering and we get back to winning games on the reg.

We literally sat in our seats, looked up and we were down 3-0. I didn’t care. I came to the game with one goal in mind: to bring home a win. I would not be deterred from that goal. And I had to call on all my powers. But we got ‘er done.

Letting Paddock just cruise into the 8th inning when he hasn’t been past 5 all season was embarrassing. Nice to see Harrison do his best Birddog impersonation. Maybe that’s just how these guys are going to get used this year.

Hopefully we have better luck in Minnesota than the Warriors did last night. Chris Paddock is a literal 5 and diver. Five starts this year. He’s gone exactly 5 innings in all five. Flores and Yaz crush this guy. Make it so.

I hopped in the car and turned on the radio just in time to hear Huff ground into a double play with the bases loaded. Lol. Things got better from there. Although you can’t get much worse than a Home to First Base double play with the bases loaded although I guess I’m happy he didn’t hit into a triple play.

Either way that was a very VERY night series win against a good team at their yard.

Wow. Who had those 2 wins going the way they did? Score 9 in the 11th? Win without Curry? Outrageous results.

Dubs are up against it here. They are so old…..and getting older. Only one day off. Meanwhile the young bucks in Minny have been resting and licking their chops. Shut down Edwards and they’ve got a shot. I’d start GP2 and just glue him to Edwards.

I’m totally happy with taking 3 from the Rockies. Even the worst MLB teams win games. And the idea that we are going to somehow pass the Dodgers by the end of the season to win the division is just a dream, man. Win as many as you can and make it in. Wild card teams have have great success in the postseason.

Man, I did NOT see the Warriors winning last night. Not after they were so easily handled by the Rockets in SF in Game 6. Happy they are moving on but not confident at all in the next series. The T-wolves have just been resting up. We are old and only get one day off. If they somehow win Game 1 my mind will be blown.

Turned the Warrior game off in the 4th quarter. They were pissing me off to excessive levels. Man what happened to “all the Bay area does is win games?” At least the Giants got back on the beam.

It’s just one game. Colorado will win games this year. But goddamn this is the wrong time to go in the tank with a slump. And our bats are slumping. Hitting .228 as a team? AS A TEAM? Post game, Flemming was complaining about all the tough starting pitchers the Giants have had to face this year. Man, pipe down. This is the major leagues, there are tough pitchers everywhere. Having said that, I’m not sure I’ve seen two hitters look more overwhelmed than Wade and Bailey looked against Suarez. Just completely annihilated.

Dubs better get Game 6 or this will be shaping up to be an all time NBA choke job.
