The Walker implosion was unfortunate but I’m not going to blame him for that loss. At some point the offense has to wear this shit. Tell me something, how do we add Adames, Devers and get a full season out of J-H Lee and somehow our offense got WORSE. Last year we had a .701 OPS, this year it’s .684.
Bullpens are going to give up runs. Starting pitchers, too. Scoring 3/0/2 runs against the shitty team is just unforgivable. Fire Burrell. It won’t change anything but we’ll all at least feel a little better.

Koss and Bailey went 3-6 rest of team 3-24. Tauchmann had 3 hits by himself as did Rookie C. Never thought I’d say this but SF could use Tauchmann or Roberts as Blade said right now.
Cause Pat the useless Bat Burrell & Windmill Matty are both terrible coaches and they did nothing last year as well the stats don’t lie.Of course the 3rd loser BoMel has known these cronies for years and unfortunately Posey still believes in Melvin’s coaches cause he’s friends with them too.
But hey you cut bait with Wade, you pick up Devers,Smith so he could easily get rid of these relics.Besides you can’t fire 26 baseball players( though the hitting side meh?) but you can fire underachieving coaches

Recently stumbled upon highlights of the 2012 WS, fun to rewatch sometimes, and a notable factor of that team was a very set lineup. Buck doing the lineups before game time would mostly say “The lineup for the Giants, pretty much the same as last night”. Now and then someone would get a spot start, and yes, this is the WS, so you’d hope the team was pretty set by then. Not too many superstars on that team, just a handful of guys who played well together and Boch found a workable and reliable lineup, and they won it all with it. Melvin’s lineups just look like he’s making it all up and mailing it in.
the opposite side of that is rewarding g the coaches that are sucking wildly.
Burrell is one thing, but Matt Williams is directly losing games for us.
When you can’t hit can’t run the bases and the only offense they create is walks and HBP it’s beyond disturbing.They had their usual low hit total 6? had 8 walks throw in a HBP by Lee and even with 15 guys on base 2 freaking runs! RISP should be the team motto name now RISPT(RISPTorture) this team can’t string hits together and just begging on walks and getting HBP isn’t going to win games! Shit even Devers OPS are down to .740 when he was high .800’s close to ..900 In Boston!Sure he tunes out Burrell along with most of the players..
The only coach doing a fantastic job imo is Pitching Coach JP Martinez and that was only after another Melvin flunky from Padres days Brian Price stepped down so fortunate for that atleast that he got the job!
hiring your friends rarely works in any business setting. And Buster needs to grow a pair. He’s running this show. Fuck your friends, fuck Melvin’s friends. Hire quality, qualified people who can do the job you have for them.

The Giants game yesterday was impossible for me to stay awake during. I would wake up, watch a few more minutes, then doze off again.
But last night…..the Valkyries!! They dismantled a solid Seattle team, and have become arguably the most exciting sports story in the Bay Area at the moment. Chase Arena was rockin’. Curry and some other sports celebs were in the crowd.
In the expansion draft, teams were allowed to protect six players, so the Vals are mostly made up of bench players from other teams. It really is remarkable what they’re doing. Obviously their head coach, Nakase, is doing a great job. Their schedule does get rougher for the next couple of weeks, so that will be a big test. 8 teams of the 13 make the playoffs, so if they get in, that will be a lot of fun for their fans.
Yeah that was cool. Expansion team with winning record-who does that?

It’s been a tough season for the Fever so far. Clark has missed about half of their games with two different injuries. But, of course, all that matters is getting into the playoffs, and then making a run in the playoffs.
Minnesota does seem like a team totally hitting on all cylinders, on a quest to win the championship they so narrowly missed last season.
Watching the TV ads during the Vals game last night, clearly the white stars in the league get more endorsement money than the black stars. A’ja Wilson is the big exception. Clearly race plays a factor in the endorsement situation; but, of course, companies can pick who they want to be in their ads. It’s a situation that surely does not go unnoticed by the black players.
It’s not that way in men’s sports, and the NBA in particular. Black athletes get lots of endorsement deals in men’s sports. It says something about how corporations view the mindset of the white male sports fan. But where are the corporations getting that viewpoint? Do they do polls and focus groups? I don’t claim to know much about how the advertising business works.
I remember some executive in the movie business saying about the movie business: “Nobody knows anything.”

But some of us here have opined the last couple years that to give Bailey enough rest (which he always needs to prevent a 2nd half cratering), the Giants need more than just a backup catcher, they need a co-catcher. I know, I know, Posey was a catcher, of course he knows best, blah blah blah. The biggest problem with this is the “others can hit” part. The others aren’t hitting, and neither will Barnes.
Funnily enough, Loo, when Devers came over, that thought (trading Chappie) popped into my mind. Yes, will never happen. But even as Buster needs to get tougher and less emotionally involved, as Craig said, I do think that he will make some ballsy moves, probably in this lovely month of July.
