Thud
Well, that didn’t work. Shut down by a bunch of rando’s in our own park and Webby checks in with his third shitty start in a row.

Looked it up and Webb did something similar last July–3 crummy Ls in a row where he gave up 16 runs in 15 innings. Came back with 5 good starts, 37 innings 4 runs. Gotta trust him.
@BF: Desormeaux mount won the feature at Del Mar yesterday.
Desormeaux’s a HOFer for sure and he’s been through plenty, but man his ride on Big Brown in the Belmont was an all-time worst…
Doval is goin down slow and he sure as shit doesn’t seem to care. Gerald Dempsey should dump him (if it’s not too late).
9th was all I saw, but noticed as you had earlier velo was down, to 94 on sinker with high of 96. Bad look last night.
add the hit by pitch and the wild pitch. The Mets just wanted to get back to the hotel but Camilo insisted on making them run.
I think I passed out around the 6th inning.
Baggs in his column on Roupp to IL mentioned Teng, Taiwanese SP who could fill in, and how he turned around awful season last year after training at Bivens preferred off season spot.
I’ll have to remind my son that Teng is Chinese not Korean. He (my son) also mentioned him. Only 54 IP for Sac but 86 SOs and a 1.11 whip.
I remember Taiwanese little league championship teams going way back. USA military influence.
it’s interesting to me that baseball caught on in Japan and then through Japan’s imperialism in Korea and Taiwan, with USA Cold War imperialism reinforcing the culture later. Didn’t happen in Europe. I played Cold War LL in England for three years. The Stars and Stripes newspaper published our post season AS tourney box scores. Brits had zero interest.
There was stretch where Taiwan dominated Little League WS here.
yeah. Then Japan joined and took over. Few Chinese mlb players. Some Chinese Americans of course. Not much of a pro level league in Taiwan I guess. And Mao obviously didn’t share Fidel’s love of the game.
Dodgers looking vulnerable probably gives hope to mediocre teams like ours…
Teng a ling might get the callup for Sunday’s start there have to make some moves again since he’s not on the 40 man I believe? He stunk it up last year up here briefly, buts been good this year in AAA that’s baseball from year to year sometimes..
Yeah gave up early on last nights game, so I didn’t see Braindead Doval in his usual struggles of incompetence.Posey definitely needs to deal him at the deadline and hand it over to RR! They have to get another backend Starter for sure among others,C/OF/LHP reliever etc..
Ramon Laureano of Balt played for Melvin when he first came up 2018. Hot right now and cheap.
he played a great cf for Oakland, too. Strong arm.
On $4mil deal with $ 6 mil option next year. Not rental
looking at savant: his speed and OAA and apparently range have diminished over the years. Arm strength is still high.
That’ fine for a guy like Laureano , I’ve liked his play, great arm,RH pop,for sure with a cheap contract and option! That’s exactly what the Giants are looking for, I don’t think they want to go after “RENTALS “ but players with extra controllable years on their contracts..
The Mets are 23-28 on the road, just need to punch their ticket the next couple of days and send em off at 23-30.
Chapman’s completely unforced error dooms Ray to no more than 5 innings.
When will one of these bad throws go the Giants’ way?
Give Alonso credit for saving 2 errant throws that inning. That will be challenging for Devers over there.
fwiw Eldridge homered again last night, 3rd game in a row.
He saved at least 3 last night.
Doing it the hard way,
Well look at Ray getting out of of a baseloaded no outs ,with a K, and DP by Chapman and Devers nice scoop, after his in experience previous play at 1st.Ugly throw by Chapman but it worked out!
That had to be one of Wilmer’s worst ABs as a Giant. I am in full doomer mode.
Yes.
Have a feeling Dom Smith will be at 1b tomorrow, much to relief of whomever pitches.
And yet the old man still leads the team in RBI’s at 59 as a part time player,so Mr.Ed is far from being sent out to pasture on this team.,
Hes done nothing in 2 months
Id have to say McCovey Cove does make a great “Wet Bar” 🍺🥃🧊🍹🚣♀️
Damn man, come on Walker.
Had Devers gotten lead runner score likely still tied.
As usual with Mo-tel 6 he leaves his loyalty pitcher like Webb&Ray in for extra batter 2 many as the lead is gone..
Fucking hilarious. Walker rarely walks ANYONE . . . and tonight can’t find the freaking plate.
Finally!
How the hell does red hot Nimmo with 3 GS this season not even swing the bat with the bases loaded?
Wilmer, out by a mile at 2nd.
Giants baserunning and base coaching has left the “atrocious” zone and entered into “laughable” territory…
I think that was all Wilmer on that play.
I couldn’t believe it was even that close…
I think Smith will be playing 1B more often.
Hope so
here we go. Sure thing walk off, right?
Lee sets it up. Come on Yaz.
well no
Oracle strikes again.
Encouraging signs from Lee tonight.
In Yankee Stadium that’s 20 rows up…
Freaking Yaz needs to go..
Fuck!
Damn, damn, damn.
Deserved better…
5 days to go. Buy or sell? Or a little of both? I think a little of both….
Their still right in the W/C hunt so Posey will be a buyer, it’s the prospects they have to give up will be the telling story..
And the ballgame as Mets take series very frustrating loss..
Giants outfield is really substandard. Offensively overall, and defensively when Matos and Ramos are in. Dump Yaz, he is near useless at the plate. You can’t be playoff competitive with a starting RFer who drives in 14 runs since May 1….
I still like Yaz but as a 4th (or 5th) OFer. Yeah, 14 RBIs in 3 months is fairly damning. I don’t even know why Matos is still here, I guess because they don’t have anyone better…..
Yaz is a defensive replacement and nothing else. The last 3 years of him playing here has been just sad they can’t do better.
Cubs / Brewers / Phils/Mets have 2 WC spots. We need to finish above the Pads to have a chance.
Padres win on the road against the Cards, 3-1, in a 9th inning bench clearing (due to Machado being hit not once, but twice in the game). Fired up? Looks like it.
Meanwhile, the Giants fall again at home and are a pathetic 2-10 in last 12 games. Please explain to me how Buster is convinced this team has the collective nut sack to make a run at the playoffs? Me thinks he should sell, sell, sell!
There isn’t a fucking player on this team that is untouchable. Get a head start on the hot stove season by improving the team NOW before the trade deadline ends.
We’re now behind Cincinnati too and have precarious leads over Cards, Marlenes, and clearance sale Snakes….
