I still think it’s all about pitching- when they get it they have better chance despite how frustrating hitting is. Roupp and those that followed were shits Friday (and he said “I have to be better”) despite Giants having leads at 3 different times. Verlander kept them in game for 7 but they lost torture game. Webb shut down Rays today/bats came alive everybody breathes easier and has better flight to San Diego. Last roadie went well.
Might be on an island but I do believe the team that was 44-37 day we were all at Marlins game is still in there somewhere even after losing 3 guys at deadline.
Locally for me, Hatteras Island is being evacuated, the rest of the OBX hasn’t committed to that yet. Hopefully Erin is just a wind event for us. We’ve had a mess of electrical storms and strikes the last couple of weeks. I gotta say, holding a fire hose spraying a burning tree with strikes hitting all around you, isn’t my idea of a day to stay sober. Y’all stay safe out there and Go Giants.
