A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Let Down By Our Best

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on September 15, 2025

I’m trying to remember a time when we had Timmy and Cain lined up for 2 critical games. Or Bumgarner and Voggy. Or even Schmidt and Woody. And they came up ANT FUCKING SMALL.

Anyway, I can’t remember that ever happening. I guess I’ll have this past weekend as a reference point for that going forward…..

Or if one of them got in trouble, Giants could call on Affeldt Romo Lopez Casilla…

Good for Eldridge, hope he starts tonight and jacks one into the pool. AZ good place to hit, let it fly.

Yeah Willie, I hope Gallen tries to sneak a fastball by Eldridge.

Don’t know what’s up with Ray and Webb, but old man Verlander sure looked like he’s in playoff mode.

Ya buy your ticket, and ya take the ride.

      Hunter Thompson?

Yep, sorta. “No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride…”

Yeah, pretty disappointing to see our studs flail like that.

Melvin bears some blame as Webbie was struggling wildly and BoMart left him to take the loss. He was at 90 pitches to start the 5th and he shoulda pulled hi after the 1st walk at least.

    preview:

“overall in the PCL, he has had a high 51% whiff rate on breaking balls and changeups”

Well, most of the Giants have trouble hitting fastballs, so he’ll bring a different whiff profile…

If he simply refuses to swing at anything unless he’s 100% certain that he’s identified Loco’s fastball, he can get his MLB whiff rate off to an excellent start.

yeah just lay off the slider. No sweat.

I suspect he’d abandon any quest for absolute certainty right off. Called strike 3 is almost as great a sin as being picked off or missing the cutoff man.

Wisely DFA’d to make 40-man room.

    The fan base is devastated…

Matos was guy sent down, McCray staying up. That throw might have made difference.

DBax right with Giants. they win this series and they have tiebreaker edge (series was split 3-3 so go to interdivisional records) over Mets.

AZ is only half game back of Giants right now at 75-75.

I like Ting. Crazy movement on his pitches. A little more contol and he could be really good!
