Moody Moment
I’m not going to go so far as to say I’m happy for Moody because he’s burned every bridge surrounding me. But this wasn’t a surprise. I said many times he needed to get out of SF and get a fresh start somewhere else. That leg is strong but his soul is weak and he wasn’t going to be able to handle it mentally in SF. That goes for the SF fans, too. Mentally we couldn’t keep doing this with that guy.
So, good for him. Redemption stories are always great.
Redemption season for jorge Polanco of the M’s. Hit .213 last year, .821 OPS with 30 doubles/26 HRs this year, best since 2021. 4-9 in 2 games vs. Toronto. From San Pedro de Macoris in DR, very cool.
Funny thing is, those kicks were straight and true. Except for the blocked one.
Said it on my side, good for him. Glad he got his head together.
Now if we could only get healthy.
Shanny is once again saying Kittle might play. Brock might play. JJ might play. Pearsall might play. Whole lotta maybes.
This team needs to start scoring if they even want to remotely think they have a chance.
Atl just rolled the Bills pretty easily and they ran all over them.
With their big Penix gorging on Buff’s defense.
Missed this yesterday
RIP D’Angelo. 51. Voodoo is a great album. Complex, spooky, sensual. Questlove solid on drums throughout.
Speaking of drummers . . .
Can’t go wrong with Topper
The Who and the Clash was up there in my pantheon of shows I’ve seen.
The Brewers are doing what the Brewers do best: lose in the playoffs, especially to the Dodgers.
They got the break of the playoffs with that double play off of the wall, but they still looked hopeless. They had the best regular season record in MLB this year. How’s that for a mind-blower?
The Brewers are the San Diego Padres of the LA Clippers of the Utah Jazz.
Ah Snell was lights out with heat at 97 and array of off speed pitches working. We’ve seen that before and at least Brewers held Dogs O down, til the end. Phils held LA to .199 BA though and still lost 3 of 4.
Brewers got to Sasaki but couldn’t finish rally off vs. 37 yr old Treinen.
There was a moment after the Las Vegas Aces won the WNBA championship this season that made me chuckle. A’ja Wilson, the best woman basketball player on planet Earth, walked over after the game and gave a big hug to a guy who is her boyfriend or husband. She said: “Thank you for believing in me!” A’ja has been winning basketball championships since she was a kid, and in college, and has won three out of the last four WNBA championships; but, sure, kudos to him for “believing in her.”
Behind every great woman is a guy barely paying attention.
Yamamoto wiping them out. 15 ground balls 6 Ks 3 hits 1 run through 8.
Brewers batting .083.
