Why doesn’t Fox use the superimposed strike zone box in the post season? There has to be a reason…
they use a barely perceptible rectangle unless they want to test a pitch in replay. Then they use the bright line graphic. Are you wearing shades?

I can barely see the transparent box they use live. I bet the bright line box a lot of broadcasts used during the regular season won’t correspond exactly with the ABS box that’ll pop up for challenges next year. Maybe that’ll be the end of the thing.

Along with this putrid BJ effort, I just got pissed off reading that Snell will make more money from the Giants in 2026 than he will from the Bums. Apparently, $17M of his 2024 $32M Giants salary was deferred for that year to a single pay date set for Jan. 15th, 2026.
I will feel worse if this payment is part of the approximate $60M we have before hitting the CBT threshold of $244 million for next season??? Does anyone know?

Reality of 49er injuries came home to roost today, with the Texans beating the ‘Niners for the 1st time since 2009. QB Stroud and rest of Texans looked dominant today.

Niners completely battered on both sides of the ball today. They are reaping the harvest of spitting on the idea of consistently picking some O line help on day 1 or even day 2 and 3 of the last few drafts. I don’t get that, and now we see what happens when you get an O line on the cheap and try to coach up debatable talent. D line is just decimated with injuries — QB pressure is putrid. Really missed Warner. Was Kittle not allowed to catch any passes today except one TD? Hardly any targets. If he’s being used as O lineman help exclusively because that O line is so weak, then his pass catching talents are wasted. The Niner D was dragging after it suffered that first half butt kicking, so why doesn’t Shanny go hurry up drill to jump start the second half — it’s not like the offense was tired from too many snaps in the first half. That might have thrown off the Houston D’s rhythm, but why try something different, right? Hand it off to CMC so he can get drilled in the A gap. Terrible coaching. Worst game in a couple of years? Outlook for rest of season looks doubtful…

Niners have to decide whether or not to add D linemen. Season still has lot of potential given weak schedule and return of Purdy and others to offense. Go for it.
