A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Line Up

Finally, we see a lefty. How many righties have we seen in the last 2 weeks? It seems like all of them. I’ve been looking forward to seeing what Torres would do against lefties with regular playing time against them…..Bagggs says “weather permitting”. Anyone got a weather report? How bad is it?

RF Torres
2B F Sanchez
3B Sandoval
SS Uribe
LF Huff
1B Posey
CF Rowand
C Whiteside
P J Sanchez

kat – is it just me, or do you think if Rowand was in the AL the pitcher would be the DH?

Well worth the wait. Great start to the trip, let’s keep it going for tomorrow.
Wellemeyer on the road. Two words: He’s due!

Xoot – just another reason I need a good lawyer around me.
Great win, go Giants . All kidding aside, I think Rowand is going to get hot this road trip.

Watched the Pirates broadcast, and every half-inning they would mention the unveiling of a Maz statue later this year. The statue will have an ivy wall behind it with commemorative leaves that fans can buy and have personalized. The statue is of Maz rounding second during a certain home run.

Even with the season about a third over, I will say this was the most defining win of the year so far.

Three hour rain delay, major brain fart by Posey leads to the floodgates and quick 4 run deficit. Many Giants teams in the past, especially on the road and especially in Pittsburgh would have just folded. There may be something special with this team to show that they did not just fold up the tent tonight.

Sanchez kept them in the game and that homer by Whiteside was just huge. If they came out of that inning down by 3 instead of 2, I think the energy on the team would have been different. Huff fucking crushed that shot and kudos also to our new cleanup hitter (someone here wrote a couple of weeks back that he should be the cleanup guy. Mmmm, who was that again? That’s right it was me!).

No surprise this comeback happened while Molina sat on the bench. Awesome job by Casillia as well and Bocky gets some good props with the defensive replacements. Torres’ catch may have saved the game! Awesome win. One more win this weekend and the ship will be straight.

Great comeback road win. I don’t think it’s a question if Posey stays – there will be a revolt if he doesn’t……..and I’ll lead it.

Instead of letting the error get to him, he came back with a couple big knocks leading to runs.

Bozo, I think all musicians need lawyers 24/7 but hardly any can afford them. Obama should change that.

F.P. “Whitey’s been a mini MVP for the Giants this year.” Truer words have never been spoken, Frank Paul. šŸ˜‰

Thanks Xoot but I’m not a musician, I play(ed) drums.

As a (newly) retired southern gentleman though, I might need some help in a class action suit I’m considering against the state of NC for the village I live in. Then again, I might just sit on my front porch and enjoy what I have.

By the way, did you hear about the drummer that was so fucked up, when he locked himself out of the car, it took him four hours to get the bass player out of the car?

    Night all – go Giants.

The MVP list thus far, non-pitchers only:
    1. Uribe
    2. Torres
    3. Huff

DeRosa 1 for 3 with a walk. CG win for “Iron Joe”, pitching very well.

    Heyward 0 for 5, 5 strike outs.
