Pay Back for the White Shoe’d Chumps
We get Gio Gonzalez again. Last time BamBam sent the hitters out there with the advice of “swing early” and it was a failure as I could have told him. You beat Gio by letting him walk you. I think in all of his wins except one he walked 2 or less. In his losses/non decisions he walked more than 2. Besides putting base runners on it rattles him, you can see it in his body language on the mound–he’s like a “pre no hitter” Dirrrrty in that regard. Anyway, I hope our hitters take a different approach this time……
Having said all that, I think we take 2 of 3 from them, maybe a sweep. Their best hitter (Suzuki) is gone all weekend at his grand father’s funeral. The A’s are going to have MASSIVE problems scoring runs this weekend…..
If Molina is the slowest guy in the game, Burrell is “top” 5. Maybe he’s just hoping 5 guys so deep solo. I will say this, that LU ain’t TOP heavy.
I don’t like that Huff isn’t in the lineup. Would have rather seen him at 1st and Buster catching, but I know Boch won’t have Buster catching Timmy for a while.

Torres RF
Sanchez 2B
Posey 1B
Uribe SS
Burrell LF
Molina C
Sandoval 3B
Rowand CF
Lincecum SP
Just want to get this on the newest 50 . . .
Uh, who’s batting 7th? I guess Bochy is a little faster than he used to be in making adjustments. . . .
twin, I DO like it. I LIKE Panda batting down the line up. I LIKE a righty like BUrrell in the line up instead of Huff. Burrell should actually take pitches and take walks which is what you need to do to beat this guy. The rest of it? I never commented on it. Your’e just butt-hurt because you spent the day telling us what idiots we are and that you’d, what was it? “. Like I said, and fucking pay attention this time: unless they think it’s not a slump but “who he is”, you fucking bat him third. When do they move him down? *I* will let you know.” I guess Boch didn’t get your text today right?
Not exactly the 2008 Olympic gold medal relay team, is it?
Rowand may hit into a quadruple play . . .
Hyuk . . .
At least I’m consistent, FlavorFuck. He should not move him down and I said it up front. It’s stupid, he’s fucking with his best hitter and putting the rook in his place compounds it. What I said is dead on fucking right: the correct time is when *I* say it is because I know better. Bochy is a smart manager but he’s bowing to public opinion fueled by the “brain dead caribbean” sentiment still prevalent. One time in the 8 was fine, this is now embarassing his best player. Bad move.
You guys are getting mighty slow. Another lineup change, and still no default response.
I’ll pinch hit one more time.
“Why not, it can’t fucking hurt!”
“bowing to public pressure’–yeah, he’s done that SO many times before. What a joke. I’m going to put up a new thread…..
Huf has hit lefties just fine. Other than where Sandoval is batting, the other bones to pick here as long as you fucks actually LIKE a LU with your whipping boys iin it ( THAT is just too funny) would be this:
How do you put two of the slowest men in baseball back to back? And if you ARE going to do that, you HAVE to put your #1 power guy behind them.
Using the same personnel, though. THIS is the best LU order:
Torres
Sanchez
Sandoval
Burrell
Molina
Uribe
Posey
Rowand
I do agree with TF in one way. I think it might be a little embarassing for Pablo to be sent to the bottom of the order while having a guy that just came up a couple weeks ago hitting in his usual spot. But, if you’re not going to have Huff in there, that’s probably the logical spot for Buster.
Wellemeyer on the DL and Martinez brought up.
No, Mike yer just pissed he went with my call . . .
Pablo obviously knows what’s going on here. It’s not like this is done in a void. I’m sure Bochy talked to him and said he was moving Pablo down due to his struggles.
Or do you think he said, “Sorry Pablo, Unca Chuck in blog-land wants you down in the 7th spot. He’s got a LOT of fans behind him on this, so I’m forced to make the call.”
Right, Mike. If there’s ever been a manager that HASN’T bowed to prevailing sentiment, it’s Bochy.
Chuckles, you did not call it. You saw it
Poor Chucklefuck doesn’t even see the high humor there. The guy he’s spent three years calling a dunderfuck agrees with Chuckles…
Just in case anyone needs a minor league fix, Five SJ Giants players have been named to the California league All-Star team and will participate in a game versus the Carolina league on JUNE 22 in Myrtle Beach,South Carolina.1B Brandon Belt…OF Juan Perez and Pitchers Justin Fitgerald,Eric Surkamp and Craig Westcott. Don’t forget your golf clubs!
PS….#1 Draft pick Zach Wheeler out with a cracked fingernail, not expected to pitch again till after their All-star break for Augusta.
Bochy putting on the squeeze with Pablo in the seventh inning yesterday said it all, showing he had little confidence that his #3 hitter could get in a run against a lefty with 1st and 3rd and one out. That, and perhaps this is another “message” for Pablo missing the squeeze sign.
What’s bizarre is that all of a sudden Bochy is a genius to this crowd after stupidly calling for the squeeze. There’s something at work about Panda that is not related to his performance. We’ve got a guy who is still hitting .285 after the one slump of his career and the “moderator” wants him in Fresnop and half the board agrees and the other half wants him 7th or 8th in the order ( or sitting) . Like I said, there’s siomething going on with this bullshit and it’s not about Sandoval’s performance.
And I want to add that I do not even blame Sandoval for missing the sign. After the shit he’s taken for bunting, why in the world would he fucking DREAM Bochy would call for a squeeze? And with Whitey at third? Which brings me to K and K and the crap about how well Whitey “handles” Sanchez. They were talking like Jonathan was a fucking dog and Whitey was his wise trainer. Whitehead is a career fucking scrub, Sanchez is one of the best LH starters in baseball even if Chucjkles was catching him…
Will repeat it from the other day: Pablo will be back batting 3rd or 4th. It’s just a matter of time. But for now batting 7th is fine by me. Also, i caught considerable flak over Pittsburgh, i think it was, the other day for daring to suggest Posey bat in the Sweetspot. Had to happen sooner or later with Pablo not exactly slumping but not yet back to Panda form. Going with the currently better contact hitter in the first inning could pay dividends. That makes for an awfully nasty 1-2-3 right now.
Maybe its for Timmy’s comfort zone, but am disappointed by Buster not catching but playing first. Reason for that is that Gio is the kinda pitcher ~ i don’t care as much about the R-L splits in this case ~ who requires the patient approach at the plate. Huff is almost unarguably the best ‘work the pitcher’ hitter on the squad.
Perhaps this lineup thing is a great bone of contention for Flappers, but the most important element tonight is the SP. If Timmy is even close to being back on his game ~ and his last outing was a definite improvement~ the Giants should be in the catbird seat. It would be great to get 6-7 innings out of him tonight ~ quality innings like we got used to with Lincecum. In the event that doesn’t happen and he only goes five or so, Martinez is with the team now and should be good for some innings.
Giants owe the A’s. Bigtime. Should return the late-May homefield favor thing so they can air out the brooms. Then its Baltimore. Besides sizing up each other’s players for possible late-July considerations, the two teams in Orange and Black face each other for the first time in a bunch of while. Orioles can hit pretty well, but their mound presence is absent a good deal of the time.
This particular home series would be the perfect time for the Giants to go on a roll.
He’s down in the lu ’cause he’s in a real funk batting RH. He’ll be back hitting 3rd against the RHP…
